Dymetri's face fell. Oh yes, another enthusiastic student. "Well, you startled me, Miss. The sun's barely below the horizon, but follow me." he said, a professional tone covering his true voice filled with hesitation and eagerness for Neon. He led the student to the classroom and he walked behind his desk, looking at a small stack of papers with the list of students he'd be having. "What's your name, Miss?" he asked, glancing at her briefly. She would make a great one night stand, he thought in his head. He imagined kissing that soft, fair skin. Shushing her cries and smoothing out her damp blonde hair.. Of course, he'd found better. And that one night may very well transform to a one millennium if he stuck with the choice that kept pounding into his mind. Lin. Lin. Lin. Lin. Lin. Lin. Lin. Lin. Lin. Lin. Lin. Lin. Lin. Lin.

neon-neon Now Ophiuchus was in a rut. He sat down next to Lin, staying silent for several moments, just letting the sounds of the birds and the breeze through the grass hit him.
"... Would you like to tell me about it?" After many many minutes, Lin finally nodded and whispered, "Yes." She sighed again. "I cannot go into deep details, sir, as I would be betraying someone's confidence in me, but if I don't tell someone the basics of my confusion, I fear I will lose myself in my confusion." She looked up at the completely dark night sky. The stars were twinkling brightly and merrily. "Sir, you are a very bright person. An incredible professor. You loved a vampire. My roommate is a nice girl, a girl I would like to become friends with. She is part demon. There is a... man. I spent a couple hours with him. I had a great time. He taught me many new things, pointed out some things that I had never considered before. He was such a good person before... before he became a vampire. It was not his fault he became one. It was forced upon him. It was not his choice. He's a caring man now. I can sense that. He is still a vampire, though. His darkness is lethal to me. My blood is lethal to him. He is dark, but he doesn't ACT dark. Not the darkness that I was taught. I love my teachings, I love my people, I love my school. I never want to abandon them."

((Oh man I love your posts! smile )) Heather sat on top of one of the front desks, closest to his desk, and crossed her legs slowly. She was wearing a very short pleated skirt. "Heather Summers, sir. You may call me, Heather. What may I call you?" There was a seductive smirk gracing her lips.

Barely noticing her frivolous attempts at making him swoon, he scratched her name off the list. He stood upright, smirking slightly. "Well, Ms. Summers, you may call me.." He turned to the white board, grabbing a red marker and scribbling on the board with a neat script Mr. Valen. He turned back to face her, looking out the window with small fragments of the glass poking through the borders. "As you could see, we have a bit of a draft going on." He turned to look at her and smirked once more. Why not play? He was a single man. He walked around his desk, sitting on it once he was in a close proximity to Heather. "Mind telling me what kind of powers you hold, Ms. Summers?" he asked, making it obvious that he was going to call by last names in his class.

The unofficial professor sat patiently, waiting for Lin to finish. When he finally spoke up, it was slowly and softly. "Then don't abandon them. Just, maybe see if you can apply them to new situations." He didn't mention how he had forced himself into hibernation a thousand years ago, and had been woken up in the middle of a small battle. If you could have called it a battle. It was pretty one-sided. But Ophiuchus had a hell of a time trying to adjust to a whole new era. And he still has problems today sometimes. He may not have looked it, but he was well over two thousand years old.

I think healing people, helping them is incredible. So I am taking your class to learn the negative effects herbs can have so I can make potions to ward off the side effects of those negative herbs. When I want to have fun, though, I play around with my ice." She leaned forward until her lips were right next to his cheek and then blew lightly on it. Frost came from her lips and graced the professor's cheek.

He may not have looked it, but he was well over two thousand years old. "My teachings won't support the new ideas that are entering my mind. The teachings go directly against them." Her mind had always been her greatest asset, her prized possession. Now it seemed to be turning on her. If she was not so educated, if she didn't love learning so much, none of this would be that difficult for her. But she knew something wasn't adding up, and she desperately wanted to get to the truth. In her mind, she heard the teachings she had grown up with, but she also heard Dymetri's soft, low, sultry voice, heard his kind words, felt his kind and caring, even careful, hands as they held her on the couch in Starbucks. She heard his low laugh, which in turn brought a smile to her face whenever she heard it. His intelligent words sparked a fire in her brain, sensing a mind equal to her own in knowledge, someone she could carry on a fascinating conversation with. Again, she could almost feel his touch as if he were touching her right now. It had been inquisitive, caring, always considerate. He did not seem like a vampire at all to her. He was a man. And those eyes... they were incredible. So kind. Eyes were very important because they revealed truth in them. She knew that he was honest with her that night. His eyes revealed his truth. And they were so soft. But then... those eyes... they suddenly started to fill with blood just as they had that night on the ocean earlier and she watched as his face morphed into that of a monster's. That blood, that blood that he had gotten from another living creature, filled his eyes and dripped from his fangs. She gripped her head and rested her elbows on her knees as she groaned in frustration.

The day almost being over Shintero was walking towards the garden along with Kindra. They both decided they wanted to practice what they had learned in their last class for the day, Combining magic with weaponry. Shintero not having a weapon was given a sword to use. When they arrived at the garden Shintero noticed three people sitting not too far away two he recognized. One being Danni and the other the girl he saw with the elf earlier in the day. "Hmmm wonder what they are going over their?" He didnt bother going over because he thought it would be rude to suddenly barge into their conversation. Soon Kindra and Shintero had taken their places with their weapons out. "Lets see if i can do this right. He grabed the hilt of the sword with both his hands, and said the spell that would combine his next spell with the sword. He then casted a fire spell causing the blade of his sword to burst into flames. "Whoa talk about awsome."
Shintero then signaled to Kindra to begin her attack. Kindra slamed her sword into the ground hilt first, and used her power over steel to send chunks of it flying towards Shintero. Shintero parried each and every attack Kindra launched at them sending the flying pieces of steel flying in many different directions. He then noticed many of the pieces flying straight towards the other three who where out in the garden. He crouched down while casting a small wind spell and then jumped up, jumping higher then usual thanks to his spell and then used another wind spell to send him flying towards the three, and did a little back flip. To anyone else who was watching it looked as if Shintero was an amazing acrobat. Thanks to his combination he soon landed inbetween the group and the flying projectiles and quickly casted an earth spell which created a wall preventing the pieces of steel from going much further.

Well then, either you're wrong or your teachings are wrong. That was what Ophiuchus wanted to say, but it wouldn't be wise to attack Lin like that and erode her faith even further. Nor could he mention how she seemed to be making such a big deal out of the situation, whatever it was. Of course something like this would seem trivial to the Serpent, he had life experiences. But Lin was just a baby compared to him. And of course, he had too much pride and integrity to go probing a student's mind.
He looked out into the stars, thinking about what Lin had told him. He had a slight suspicion that the man Lin had referred to was Mr. Valen. After all, one of the first things she asked him about was his opinion of the vampire. But Lin didn't want him to pry, so he didn't. So, Ophiuchus merely sat there, tracing constellations with his eyes, radiating white magic to soothe Lin.

Lin suddenly felt a very calming aura of white magic around her. It was so nice and relaxing. It soothed her greatly. So much so, that without her realizing it, her eyes started drooping. Her head started falling forward.
As she slowly fell lightly asleep, her body leaned to the side and her head fell forward onto her professor's shoulder. It was almost as if her body sensed where the white magic was coming from and leaned towards it in her sleep.

Ophiuchus glanced down at Lin, who had dozed off. He just smiled and shook his head. "That's right, sleep the confusion off. Let it roll off your back, and just start fresh tomorrow." Without really thinking, he put his arm around her shoulder, in a fatherly sort of gesture. His skin prickled with the cool night breeze, and he shuddered slightly. He hated the cold. It was out of a desire to see his friends and family that he came up this far north at all. If he had his choice, he would go to Australia where the temperatures were much warmer, or somewhere similar.

Already in a meditative sleep, Lin smiled and laughed softly. "The whipped cream tickles my nose. The coffee is so good. Mmmm."

Ophiuchus looked down at the girl with an eyebrow raised and his head tilted. "..... Okaaay..... No more coffee before bed for you, missy." He slowly stood up, trying not to wake Lin, then gently picked her up, deciding to carry her to her dorm. He figured if he used a bit of his power, he would see the trail that her aura would leave whenever she walked around.

As soon as her professor laid her down on her bed, after finding her dorm room quite easily, Lin smiled again and laughed softly. She mumbled. "Dymetri, you have whipped cream on your nose. I'll get it off. Make sure you keep your proper distance this time."

"Dym..." Ophiuchus repeated, slightly startled. First name basis with a teacher an elf would normally be biased against? This intrigued Ophiuchus, so he crossed his arms and sat back on an invisible seat of air. Distance, huh? What is she talking about?
