Disgusting, and then they tell us that it was a "hard" decision.

I've no doubt it was a hard decision. But...they don't do much to discourage that it was.

I.Am Something along the lines of, "I, the promiscuous pirate, and many other Pro-Choicers baked Keeran into a cookie. She was delicious." Thats just sick. The least they could do was respect Keeran and feel abit sad for her.

Things like that just make me beyond sick. Okay, so they think abortion is okay, I get that. But do they really have to say such horrible things? I have said a few times before I had a miscarriage a little over a year ago (10/20/04.) I was 6-7 weeks along. When I miscarried I actually saw my baby. If it hadn't happened to me I wouldn't have known it was possible but it did. It was still in the amniotic sac fully attached. I saw the blood vesels of what would have been the placenta. I saw the buds of the early feet and hands, I saw the 2 dark spots of the eyes- and for someone to make such disgusting comments as to compare it to a zit on their butt or say they baked and ate it makes my blood boil. Its those type of "pro-choicers" that I have absolutely 0 respect or tolerance for.

She's only an unsentient clump of cells.
She's not a human because the mother didn't want her.
She's only human if she's wanted.
You know, like all those unsentient clumps of cells in the adoption system.

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=1753331Seems they're mad that we actually care about Keeran. Wow. First of all, if abortion's nothing to be ashamed of, how can we shame anyone into anything? Secondly... What the heck? "They think a fetus is a person. They make a memorial to someone they feel is a person who was aborted. They make no mention of the mother. This must be an attack on the mother!!!" That's the reasoning I see.

She made her choice. I fail to see how we are condeming her for it. A life was lost. We morn the loss of that life and nothing more.

...You know what just hit me. I was there when she was talking about getting an abortion. I could have done so much more to try and persuade her to keep her child.
But I was too afraid to take that extra step to help her out, because I knew I would get chewed out. I was a coward.
I am a coward, and I cannot help those that need to be helped.
Sorry Keeran, I was too much afraid to step up and take initiative. Please forgive me.

I feel bad too. At the time I thought that anything I said might push her further towards having an abortion, but now I wish I'd tried.

Its the reason that kept me form PMing her.
Nothing coudl have been done. She is pro-choise and looks to pro-choice for reassurence, and, ofcoarse, they give it to her. Nothing we siad would have had much impact so long as she stayed on their side.

She was going to do it, no matter what.
All the 'support' she was getting for her 'choice' was too much for her to deny.
I tried talking to her, too.
"I know my kid won't feel anything." she said.
