Chaos calmed down a bit - enough to drop the conflicted look - on his way out of the fridge with plenty of food in his arms.
"Do you really need all of that?" Keiko asked, trying not to sound nosy about it.
"It's not just for me," Chaos said pointedly.
"Oh," Keiko nodded. "Your pokemon?"
This time, it was Chaos's turn to nod as he left.

Odd noticed Chaos' lack of a proper answer this time. "He been acting like that for long?" He asked of Keiko, glancing down to see A'Capella rubbing herself against his ankles now that her fur was all fixed the way she liked it. He picked her up and began to pet her as he awaited a response.

"I'm not sure," Keiko admitted. "He doesn't usually speak to me as much as he has today, though. I guess having a girlfriend has changed him somehow."

Odd's face went slack for a moment at Keiko's response. "He has a girlfriend?!" He asked, not believing her for a moment. "No offense meant to him, but what woman could deal with that attitude of his long enough to be his girlfriend?" He wondered aloud. "Most women I've met would slap him silly and then leave him." Granted, he was used to nuns and polite old people, not young woman who were as rude and crude and some men.

"I don't know all the details..." Keiko admitted nervously. "I think they knew each other before? She took him back, or..."
"Other way around," Chaos said with a sandwich in his hand before taking a seat in the kitchen. "Ask Lykas about Rose. She was before your time."
"Huh?" Keiko asked, confused about Chaos's meaning.
"She used to be a Snagem," Chaos explained.

"Oooooooh." Odd replied as he leaned against the counter. "Ya, Lykas has mentioned her before. Said she tried to make you be nice or something like that and refused to let up when you told her you don't change for anybody, right?" He asked as he tried to recall what Lykas had said about the woman. "A long time ago, back when Snagem first formed, right?" He asked of the other male, hoping he didn't bring up sour memories by mentioning it.

"Close,' Chaos said. "She wasn't trying to change me per se, just get me to reunite with a bunch of ~/~ traitors. I kept telling her no, but like you said, she pushed it. Only reason I took her back recently is because she agreed not to involve them, begged me to forgive her. And no, I've been around since Snagem was formed. Snagem had been around a while when she showed up, but Bossfox was still around when she convinced me to leave the team to go be with her. I told her when I took her back that I wasn't leaving the team this time around."
"What is she like?" Keiko asked, worried about how Odd described what a potential mate for Chaos would be.
"She's nothing like Heine, I can tell you that. That ~/~ had a mouth on her, worse than mine. No, you would probably like Rose. You remind me of her a little, actually," Chaos admitted.
"Heine?" Keiko asked, as Heine was before her time, as well.
"I wouldn't really call Heine a girlfriend," Chaos tried to explain. "The thing between me and her wasn't really about feelings, for her or for me. I ~/~ her for a while, then got tired of her ~/~ and dropped her. She left shortly after that. If Rose was anything like that, I'd do the same thing to her and probably never contemplate taking her back. I know Heine is due for a fist in the face if she ever shows up here again."

"So that's what happened...." Odd responded to Chaos' explanation.
After he spoke of Heine, the boy snarled lightly. "Glad she's gone, honestly. I never could stand her. She was always picking on Jira. Poor kid." He tried to hide his dislike of the woman but even so, his lip curled into a visible frown at the thought of her.

"Yeah, I remember she kicked Fairy Boy in the sack for standing up for Jira. Granted, he basically called her a slut with his fancy vocabulary, but in his defense, she had it coming, the way she would mention the way she and I carried on without a care for who heard. Even I know not to talk about ~/~ like that in public."
"Wait, she kicked who?" Keiko asked, a bit put off by the direction the conversation was taking, as well as confused at the nickname.
"Fairy Boy," Chaos repeated obliviously. "Kinda tall, hair like mine, body as thin as his hair, four-eyed, always wearing that ~/~ tie arou-"
"That's my brother," Keiko warned, unhappy with Chaos's description.
"You've got Fairy Boy for a brother? ~/~, I feel sorry for you."
"His name is Terashi," Keiko stated in a somewhat louder tone of voice.
"I don't give a ~/~," Chaos said, matching the volume of his voice with Keiko's.

"Hey! Cool it!" Odd snapped at both of them. "Keiko's right, he's got a name. The least you can do is try to use it once in a while." He offered.
This was not how he envisioned these two interacting with each other. Granted, of course, he knew their personalities would conflict to some degree or another. He had just hoped that Chaos would show just the slightest bit of consideration for a young lady's emotions.

"Why should I? Guy's a ~/~."
"So are you," Keiko scowled.
"At least I'm honest about my ~/~" Chaos scoffed, unaffected by Keiko's aggressive attitude. "The way that ~/~ walks around acting all scornful at everybody like some high and mighty ~/~-"
"He only does that around you," Keiko blurted out. "Because of what you do for a living outside of Snagem."
"Well, if what I do for a living were any of his ~/~ business, that'd be different."
With that, Chaos sticks his head into the refridgerator a second time, only to retract himself from the machine empty-handed. "~/~. Since when do we not have any booze up in this ~/~?"

Odd sighed as Chaos and Keiko continued on with their bickering. Hopefully this wouldn't escalate. Keiko wasn't likely to survive one of Chaos' fits.
When the man dove into the fridge again, he smirked slightly, already knowing the answer. "That would be since Night bet Sub that she wouldn't drink for a year if he beat her in a battle."

"Lemme guess, Sub put Foxchick's ~/~ in a blender and served them to her in that battle." Chaos groaned.
Without waiting for a response, Chaos walked out of the kitch en and left HQ on his quest for an alcoholic beverage.
Keiko sighed in relief at Chaos's passing. "That was stupid of me. Why did he have to go and trash-talk Terashi around me?" she whined.

Odd just shook his head as Chaos left. "I wouldn't feel too bad. He picks on everybody like that." He assured her. Except for Lykas, he'd noticed. Those two seemed to have taken a liking to each other lately. Though he kept this thought to himself.
