Zarrius remained silent while the information was given. Kestral had said that he had chosen Zarrius for the sake of time and while that may be part of it he highly doubted it was all of it. He made a mental note of it then proceeded to more important matters. He assumed that they were Bravo team, even though it had not been specified, due to the fact that Oni, by now, must be used to being somewhat special being the leader of Hell and all not to mention he had set up this mission, so he would think of himself first. Zarrius walked over to Kestral and did a courtly bow to show his respect. He wondered for a brief second if Negi was only here because his brother was the Leader then quickly banished the thought for surely Negi could handle himself, both Physically and Politically. Zarrius also bowed to him. Then addressed them.

"I personally think it would be smart if we talked about the battle strategy while we head there. We should make utmost haste."

Whether or not this was a technically competition Zarrius would handle it like one. He was very into competing and proving he was better than people. He meant no harm nor threat by it but that was merely how his mind worked.... Plus who wouldn't want to prove they were better than Zeiphyr.

-[Lahabiel & the Enchantress]-
So it would appear that Kai and Naya would abandon the clearing while Red chose to face the oncoming threat. Breaking past the tree line and into the open, three men emerged and scanned the scene.

A blonde haired-crimson eyed girl and five dead angels. The atmosphere had an unstable tension to it...no matter how the three looked at it this was not a good scene.

The one on the left or to Red's right gave Red a smug look as he waved his sword from side to side. He judged her by the situation, amused that someone who could commit such a crime within Heaven's realm would stay to face any pursuers. Did she think she was the "Almighty"? Whatever her deal was she was in an unfathomable amount of trouble. The one on the right appeared to be judging her too. Although his smirk resulted from the thought that this person could actually be that strong as to simply stand there. He seemed to be a bit carefree however. Lastly, the one in the middle would fix a cold gaze upon Red and step forward. He was frowning and he was not pleased with what he saw.

"Put down your weapon, slowly. You're coming with us."

The one in the middle ordered without hesitation. There was no need to take a second thought. Just as Red had judged the situation with Naya, these three were doing the same with her.

"Heh, good..."

L
ight smirked with Raven before looking towards Wyn. Was he going to be okay? "....." Yes, Light knew that Wyn would be able to take care of himself. The point of this exercise was to not only build teamwork but to drop bad habits and to move out of the comfort zone. Also with a near crisis situation it would force him and his team to think more tactically while relying on each other to make up for what they lacked.

L
ight had meant for Wyndom to be in a back position and away from the front line. So far he was playing out that role well. Raven and himself would have it easy as they could get near without much problems...however they were in the most danger since they couldn't use their special abilities against Rogziel....but hope was certainly not lost! Light had been in a very similar situation and it was far from a training exercise. His foe was not as large as Rogziel but he was without a doubt four maybe five times stronger. Light's abilities had been sealed but he was working with a comrade at the time. The two had to work together and make up for the other's weakness while faced with an overwhelmingly powerful opponent.
"Barragan..."

L
ight muttered to himself as he regained a grasp on the present time. That story was to be told later when there wasn't a colossal threat in front of him.

"Okay, let's go.."

L
ight bounced ahead, keeping himself ready to move in just about any direction on a whim. He kept Fuuinshin held tightly in his right hand as he glanced up to notice the cloud forming over Rogziel's head...in fact clouds were forming over everyone's head! He had hoped that this was not Rogziel's doing...but judging on the scale of how things appeared he started to doubt it was. It seemed like Wyndom had a plan! This was good and it washed away the hesitation Light had on approaching Rogziel.

L
ight would begin sprinting ahead as he fixed his eyes on Rogziel's head..

-
Rogziel kept advancing slowly but his massive size made covering ground easy. It would take little time for Rogziel to be in front of Light and Raven, a growl of rage and malice bellowing from the beast. It would sweep it's head down, thrusting it's horns from it's left to it's right to swat away Light and Raven if they were still intent on engaging it face to face. It was a fairly simple attack this time, however getting hit would prove fatal. To make matters a bit worse it would sweep it's head back the way it came, attempting to gouge or smash anything in it's way.

"Life is a virtue"

Red turned her gaze at the three people that had came into the clearing.
"Ah ******** mumbled to herself. Flexing her wings slightly, she tensed herself as the man spoke. Glancing up, she saw she was in the clear with an up and away if these men didn't show any reason.
"This is not what it looks like, I'm here to find a man named Lahabiel. The woman who did this ran away."
She pointed at the path of lit up beetles that Kai had set.
"See that? Me and my partner set a path to follow her."
Red knew these men would not see any truth in what she said so she was ready to leave right away if need be.

"So don't dwell on it."

Kai stopped on the trail as he heard voices behind him. He spun around and saw that there were three men talking to Red. With a reluctant sigh, he walked back to his partner. He glanced over at the three men and crossed his arms over his chest. He looked over at Red and shook his head slowly. "How could you have killed those innocent angels?...They were minding their own business and you just slaughtered them...Shame on you..."

The elf had a sly grin on his face as his eyes started to glow. A pillar of sand shot up from directly in front of him before spinning around in a tornado-like fashion. It grew in size and soon visibility was down to near nothing in the opening. He was hoping the others couldn't see through the spinning sand as he grabbed onto Red's wrist. He quickly dragged her away, down the lit-up path. As soon as they made it a few feet away, the light behind them faded as the sandstorm continued to rage on.

"Why don't you listen to me?" Kai frowned as he spoke, feeling slightly untrusted by his partner.

Raven was merely a heartbeat behind Light. It was a familiar pace she had with him by now. Now the Lunar Scythe began to pulsate its Moonlight, the energy like its own heart beating. Soon it was engulfed in the light, until it deteriorated, fading away from her grip. Her form slid back out of focus, and she held back. She could feel the tension collecting, her muscles coiling with power along her calves. She would need to withhold as much as possible, so that she could time their ascension with precision. Rogziel's wild thrashing made this dangerous, and Raven had become extremely nervous. She was not one for taking risks. She always knew what she wanted to do. But she allowed her mind to release itself, her other ethereal ability manifesting itself. It was like a dull roar, the sounds of voices from so many in the realm around her. The careful dam that had been created was soon going to break, and Raven would have to swim her way through the voices in her head until she could find the power behind Rogziel. It was dangerous to enter an Angel's mind. She could sense this beast's wrath even without the use of her mind.

Risks. Raven hated them deeply, but it was necessary in this case. As a dancer, she was used to rhythm and timing. She knew when to move and when not to. By now, the muscles ached as she withheld even more. It was not the proper time. Left...right...left, right, back. There. Right there. She snagged Light by his waist and jetting forward, knowing the moment Rogziel surged forward, it would be like walking on a platform for her. Raven's mind shifted, the Dam steadily rebuilding itself, singling out an energy trace for Rogziel. The air hummed with electrical energy. She knew she'd stand a chance, despite her Human-like body. Now Raven hurled Light through the air, the muscles screaming from the weight of Fuuinshin. She had quickly calculated the trajectory, knowing he stood a good chance of landing on the creature's back since he would make the mistake of coming forward in his attempt to impale them. She herself, being weighed from Light's weapon, would slide along the horn that may soon attempt to throw her off. It would be then that she use her cat-like skills the navigate along Rogziel's body to meet Light.

If she did suffer from an electrical surge, she knew that it could endanger the part of her brain that was /not/ human, and ultimately cause her brain to fry, and even explode out of her skull and eye sockets--granted that she could not use her Elementalistic abilities to will it to her. She had other plans, if this beast wanted to test her against her second strongest Element. For now, she needed to meet Light.

(( The posts are good you two. There is a plot that you two are sinking into but like real life, the course of history is being written with every choice. That said...I'm rather pleased how the story is turning out. Instead of the classic "OH HAI WE KUNG FU FYTE NAOW" we're getting some history of what's really going on behind the scenes and you're building history with eachother instead of it just being assumed...however if I need something to go a certain way I'll certainly let y'all know. wink

Anyway, posting...))

Without much time to react to Red's words- although skepticism was really the only thing that would come of them, Kai had come back to bail Red out of trouble. How noble of him.

"Well at lest she was telling the truth about having a partner."
The one on the right, the one with the larger sword and brown hair spoke up. He shrugged before holding his hand up to his face to protect it from the sand that had manifested into a storm.

"Elrich, Lande..."
The one in the middle spoke, his gaze still coldly fixed to where Red used to be. He lowered his right hand down, slowly reaching for his katana but he would hesitate at the last moment. A "matter of fact" would emerge from his thoughts and past his lips, "People like are always causing trouble of some sort. We'll see them again.... let's find this Lahabiel guy. He may know some things."

"Grants! C'mon, those two are getting away!"
The one with the long sword and smug demeanor batted at the stray sand that was getting near his eyes. He was the one named Elrich. "Those two aren't Celestials and you know it! This is exactly the kinds of threats we're trying to prevent! Right?"

Grants, the captain of this little trio replied with silence. He'd turn around and head back for the city, his mind made up and his curiosity for the truth growing intently. "Elrich, you saw her eyes. She was either going to kill or be killed...We'll see her again, trust me."

"You two are always so serious."
Lande spoke up, following after Grants. Sighing, Lande would sling his weapon over his shoulder without another word. The trio would eventually leave the clearing together as Red and Kai escaped from the other side..

--

In the meantime Naya had heard the commotion from behind her and decided to clean up her trail in case she was to be followed. She'd leap to her right and latch onto a branch to swing herself forward and up onto it. She'd close her eyes and make a connection with the branch, enchanting it to stir the very air around it. A moderately strong gust of wind would sweep through the forest, upturning and tossing the small twigs, leaves, and other brush that would give her footing on the ground away. She'd continue passing through over the tree branches and their trunks to get by...She needed to disappear for a while..

"Life is a virtue"

Red grumbled to herself as Kai pulled her away. So what, he saved her a**. She had yet to lift a finger to hurt anyone or defend herself and it was very different from what she was used to. Maybe that was why she was always itching to start a fight.
"I coulda handled myself..."
She mumbled to Kai as she yanked her arm away and walked beside him.
"And plus, I was about to follow, I just wanted to see who it was."
There was a pattern going on here, and she wasn't liking it one bit.
"I'm not a damsel you know, those days are so over."
Red was referring to where she had came from. Back then she was always getting in the middle of things whether she tried to or not and ended up needed rescued. It was a pattern, and now Kai seemed to be rescuing her as well.
"Let's just head back to town. The whole Lahabiel thing is kind of at a stand still. We can tell Moirae about what happened and maybe she will be able to piece things together better than we could."
Red opened her wings and jumped into the air, pushing down hard to catch some air so she could fly back into the open skies. She knew he would follow, and if not then she would meet him back into town. Red was curious as to whom those men were, but didn't feel like confronting them until she was better acquainted with everything going on.

"So don't dwell on it."

Kai laughed quietly and let go of her wrist. "Well I'm pretty sure three on one isn't a fair fight...You could have at least let me help fight, then maybe you wouldn't have lost horribly. I also don't mind helping pretty girls." He gave a sly wink at her, sticking out his tongue playfully.
He was slightly confused once Red took flight. "Why would we go back to town? Naya is in this forest...We could find her if we kept looking!" He grumbled quietly and looked at the glowing path. It was still going for a few feet before turning abruptly to a tree. He walked up to it and tilted his head to the side. Was his method wrong? The elf looked up and blinked, shielding his eyes with his hand. He didn't see anything...Maybe the enchantress had made an escape...It's not like he could do much anyway. His partner was giving up for now.
Kai knelt down, putting his hand in the grass. He closed his eyes and focused on the trail, letting it dissipate because he couldn't do much more at the moment. He also let the sandstorm down, thinking that it had been long enough. He stood back up and shook his head up at Red who had begun flying back to the town. With a glance back to the tree and forest, he sighed again and let his diamond wings reappear. He floated up into the sky, eyes still searching for Naya. "Why is Red giving up so fast?...We were hot on the trail and she decides to just up and leave...I just don't get it..."
Kai slowly began to fly after the other, his mind filled with questions, most of them concerning Red's personality and work ethic.

(( Dude, we were totally kicking his a**! xD If their vitals weren't in "another dimension" we would have wrecked his day. That whole saga was fun 'n all but we were doing a hell of a lot better than what the story suggested. We were fighting fair, tactically, and trying to capitalize at every given chance. The vaste lorde just kept stacking ability on top of ability..Like with our battle against Ulquiorra, Stark, his brother, and David. That Vanishing Grand Lava Prison X2 of ours Should have ended it all lol
