Malik was walking around below deck, backpack in hand, until he found a place to come up to the deck at...and...the hell? sand? how was this thing sailing on sand? but spotting his daughter, he started that way, before some stupid human got in his path.
"Excuse me...sir...how did you get on this ship and why are you here? some stowaway looking for free meals and riches?"
Of course, Hunter was watching this from the helm, casually loading his crossbow...and it was the unfortunate Mister Richards that was in Malik's path.
"How is not your concern, human. nor are my reasons why. now get out of my way before I remove you from my way."
"You and what army, blue boy? you don't have time to grab that sword on your hip before you get shot."
Malik's eyes narrowed.
"what makes you think I need a sword to deal with rabble like you?"
Hunter took careful aim. no one was going to roam about his ship carefree without either being crew or having some damned good reason. Mister Richards smirked lightly.
"I don't see any other armaments on you. and if you had magic you'd have used it by now. either to conceal yourself or 'remove me from your path' as you put it."
Malik's face showed nothing.
"You're right. I have been generous with the time, haven't I."
And his hand reached out, grabbed Mister richards on the shoulder, and brought him down to the fetal position...removing the dark red hand from him and simply disappearing a second before a crossbow bolt hit the deck..and reappearing by his daughter.
"I got your supplies, and some extra items. how in Innoruuk's cauldron did you get on a ship? and why are you not feeling well? what's going on?"
a glance at the other girl.
"You're lucky. we nearly had to sedate your mother. and sevilin wasn't able to see her letter, or I promise he'd been here dragging you home."
Hunter came down from the helm, and leaned over Mister Richards, before looking over to Malik and getting up, aiming his crossbow at his head.
"What did you do to him, you damned blue elf?!"
Malik casually looked over his shoulder at Hunter.
"I showed mercy. I let him live, didn't I?"

Ears perked at the sound of her father's voice. Wasn't that a comforting thing? Much. Soon as he popped up in reasonable distance, she more or less pounced him with a hug. "Daddy!" About the only time she showed any sort of softness in her presentation of self. Definately daddy's girl. "Um...I got arrested for something I didn't do and then somehow ended up being pulled into something I'm not so sure I know what is even about."
For the moment clinging to her father, mostly because of this sand starting to mimic water too much in her opinon. Ah parental comfort. "And I do believe I'm sea sick...or rather sandsea sick..." Turning a blink look to Shyrae for the moment. "She's with me, it's fine." Sharing her father's annoyed look perhaps and glancing in Hunter's general direction, more of looking past him. "He did what I did to you, Hunter. Remember that?"

Petting at the falcon that came to roost on her shoulder, Shyrae shook her head and reached into her robes pulling out some bright blue liquid. "Give him this and he'll be fine." Then she gulped as her uncle was obviously none too pleased with her, probably influenced by her parents. She knew they were all quite close and had no doubt that her mother had ranted and raved when she found out she was gone. "Did they...find my letter before they went searching all over the Underdark?" She felt bad knowing that her departure had stressed her mother out that much and she knew what a handful her father had now. Maybe coming hadn't been such a good idea...
Though she realized pretty quickly that Savvy's explanation was only going to piss her uncle off more. "She was found with a bloody knife the night after a murder in the city. We were new and the guard jumped to conclusions. After a brief explanation in front of the elder of the city, he let her go with an apology and then we were asked to come on this voyage because of our different...abilities." A glance around the ship. Where was that Laerethe when you needed her? "Their city is missing something very important to them and we are helping them find it. Delicate thing really..."

Wait a second...Daddy? oh holy hell. please don't let her mention his ahem, 'flirtatious' first encounter.
"None the less, you had no right. It is his duty to detain would be stowaways and thieves."
putting his crossbow down. she was a necromancer...and he was her daddy..and they used the same attack which ment he was probably a more powerful necromancer. just great. where was that damned girl when you needed her.
"Well conclude your buisness and get off my ship. I don't have time to cater to another damned elf with family issues."
before heading back to the helm...of all the damned luck...helping Mister Richards up and letting him rest a bit. hated whatever the hell that was.
Malik for the most part ignored the human, and hugged his daughter lightly, before looking at her friend.
"they found your note, thus the hysterics. however my daughter's mention of dragon attacks, had your father seen that, would have definately ran here in a heartbeat at your mother's demand to get you."
then a glance at the arrest story.
"Oh really. so...whom should I injure for that little bit?"

"Shut the hell up Hunter. You don't have time to deal with anyone and don't get pushy with me, or you'll lose your mast...again. And maybe other things. You're on my black list enough as it is for having my person tossed around this ship at your horrid steering."Or at least that's what she assumed. Nope, she still wasn't one to be pushed by his little shoving motions. He had yet to get her, didn't even really know her name yet and thus she wasn't going to let him play. A look up to Malik then, despite not really being able to see him. Her parents were up there in that category that she would look directly at them without thought, whereas everyone else got sideglances. Wasn't fun to be pited for being blind.
"I'm in the process of mentally abusing him by distancing myself when he obviously does not want the distance because he's human and humans are social things." Looking to Shyrae whom had Chylithair at the moment. Chy was rather respectful of Malik's person...knew it wasn't too good an idea to use him as perch. "See, I told you you didn't have to worry too much. Your mom will calm down in a bit...especially if daddy causally mentions something when he goes back. Right?" Resting her chin against his chest as she was looking up at him again. "So, what did you bring me?" Not one of those questions you asked just because you were getting something, at least not in her case. After all, she couldn't see what was in that backpack, thus things had to be explained to her and often handed to her so she could feel them out...or she sight jacked someone to do it, but that took energy and she wasn't feeling well right now either.

Shyrae blinked as Hunter more or less turned and stalked off then shook her head. "Well, if Mister Richards wants to suffer, then there's nothing I can do about that." She dropped the vial back into her pocket and then turned back, glancing at the reunion between father and daughter. She knew how Savvy felt about her father and was considering stepping back and letting those two have their time but Savvy incorporated her again. "Well, he could but I have a feeling I'm going to get a visit at some point anyway. I would appreciate any mention of my person still whole and alive though." She considered mentioning Hunter's less than lucrative attempts to get Savvy into bed until he'd found out she was blind and more or less dropped her, but felt that would be too vindictive and just plain mean. She wasn't mean.

"Everything you requested and some extras. more travel clothing for you and Shyrae, some food stuff, spices, three extra sight orb sets, some special bonechips for especially needy occasions, some attachments for your chains, and your mother insisted on sending some vials of a certain feline's venom for your attachments just in case. and she also insisted on giving you enough travel food to last the entire damn winter. and Sevilin insisted on a linkstone for each of you, and some privacy runes to use for whatever."
a small kiss to his daughter's forehead.
"I'll pass on the good news and that everyone is safe and sound. I'll leave out the boat thing though. both your mothers would wring my neck and then come get you both."
Hunter watched them...and took a look at Mister Richards..damn it all.
"Alright full sails, lets make good time while the Claw sits behind us. Bosun, get whatever that was for mister richards, I need him able to function."
which did get the bosun over to shyrae.
"that vial, if you please, for the first mate."

"Don't worry about it Shyrae, I'm sure if anything I'll be blamed in partial for leading you away last time I was home visiting and such. Share the blame and it will go smoother." Turning attention back to her father as he listed out things. Oh wonderful, all useful things and such...which were much needed. "Gotta love mom. How is she taking me being away this time?", Thus was the longest she had yet to be away. Her and Piper were indeed rather close despite the emulation of her father, most likely stemmed from the shared near death experience they both had. Though they didn't like to think about that. A smile however at that kiss, seeing as Malik wasn't overly affectionate in any public situation, but she was his little princess and quite literally on that point too. "Boat on sandseas doesn't sound any better either. I'm starting to hate sand. And it was raining earlier, another reason I'm not feeling well." Another squeeze though of the man and one of those smiles of hers that said she was causing trouble in some respect. "I've had to hurt people already, but it's been an interesting trip so far."
Well she was quite dry and stress free now. Coming out of her cabin, looking quite presentable, she pulled out her spyglass and looked over Chimera. "What does he have now? He always has something new...what'd he strike a deal about now?" Turning her attention then to her crew as she stood above them. "Alrighty chaps, let's get these soggy sands behind us. I have a grand feeling about where we're going, I feel it in my blood!"

Spices? Mama couldn't be too mad if she was sending those. Then again her mother would be horrified to know her daughter had been eating ship chow. "I suppose." She glanced up at the man who'd come to get the vial she'd offered earlier. "Oh, well, here you go." Reaching into her robes she removed teh vial and handed it over. "I need that vial back though." she called after him then glanced at her uncle again. "Daddy didn't send my staff?" It might not be finished yet. She'd finally earned a higher level mage staff and it had been in progress when she'd decided to leave. She'd be alright without it but it would have been nice to have it on her person. "Never mind. How long are you staying Uncle Malik?"
Thobias gently slipped the gems that had been paid to him for the bet under her pillow and then slipped his shirt back on. It had been a rather relaxing exercise for them both. Buckling his belt, he headed back out to the deck and took his place near his captain. "The seas only know. He's always got some deal of one kind or another going on on his ship. His current crew is the best he's ever had, though."

"That depends on your needs. if you don't need me around, I won't cramp your space and go back home. if you need me, I'll stick around for a bit. your staff wasn't done yet. but I think you'll like it. probably a few more days to get it completely ready, your father is very particular you know."
then back to his daughter.
"She's alright. she paces in your room sometimes, and there are times where it's pretty obvious she's wondering about you. however the knowledge that your alright should calm her a bit. you know she gets more ancy the longer she goes without hearing anything."
Hunter let the bosun deal with Mister Richards, though looking back and noting the Claw getting underway, and opening his spyglass to make sure Gem was looking before idly handling the large diamond he'd swiped from her.
"Someone get that star-eyed girl and have her come to my cabin. I want to discuss this new turn of events with that necromancer somehow getting her father to show up."
before letting the helmsman do his job and heading into his cabin and settling in a seat, getting some more rum and drinking.

"Hm, well this deal he's struck has thumbs of various sorts. But it seems they have another. Royal blue elf on deck, quite handsome as far as elves go I'd say. At leasy not common place. Where do you think he was hiding that one?" Before a gasp and she freed a hand to check her pockets. "That b*****d stole my loot! How dare he!" Collapsing the spy glass and then looking to her first mate. "Well, we can't stand for that, now can we? Want to go get that back for me, Mister Robins? It's an opportunity to use the glider." Sing song voice on that.
"Oh we could probably stand to have you around for a while. After all, you've been on ships before and it would do me well to learn how to function on one...I'm surprised I haven't broken my ankles yet." But nodding in solem serious fashion about her mother. She worried, what with the little particulars about Savryn. And admittedly, she had to worry more because of that fact. "She has her right to worry, but I'm sure she can amuse herself with Dhairiss, heard his bow work was a little sloppy." Turning clouded eyes to the general direction of Shyrae once more, at least her stomach wasn't protesting anymore right now, "You didn't tell me you earned yourself a new staff, someone's been practicing." And a gesture back to her father. "Oh and don't mind Hunter...he enjoys getting backs up." Not to mention her and him were in some sort of battle of wills it almost seemed.

Eilynne calmly knocked on Hunter's door a moment later, Rahsaveer in tow and waited. "You have a problem with the elf on the ship, Captain Deacon?"
Thobias chuckled, "Of course I'll go get it back for you. Of course I can't promise that injury will not result to the body of the person who stole it." He grinned and tugged at the feather on her hat. "Aye Captain. I'll be back shortly." He climbed up to the crow's nest and calmly removed the topsail then easily strapped the two leather strips attached to his arms. Balancing for the moment, he turned towards the Chimera and pushed off letting the slight breeze carry him until he landed smoothly on the deck. Pulling off the contraption, he folded it up and settled a much smaller version on his belt. "So, Hunter has a newcomer, eh?" He glanced over the gathered crowd and then quirked an eyebrow. "Your blue matches hers. You two are oddly related aren't you?"
She smiled happily and nodded. "I know! Daddy decided I should have it but he's such a perfectionist when it comes to those things that I didn't expect to have it for a while. I appreciate his concern though." Glancing over at Thobias as he popped up. Well, this was getting interesting wasn't it?

Giving Xeke a look. "Someone had to do it, it was a storm. The captain was overly daring but he couldn't have known what was there." It was quite convenient to accredit to fate and such sometimes. He tilted his head slightly as her fingers moved to a particular spot and then reached up to grab her hand to prevent her from touching that spot further. "Just a little now. Do you have any of that cooling salve with you? You know, the one you let me use that other time." He didn't know where she'd gotten it, maybe she'd even made it herself. He never bothered to ask. "And I did, but Rahsaveer revived me." Oh right, that was excitement still coursing through him. "Did you know there is another Laerethe on board? Eilynne summoned him here to help with the storm, instantly. Fascinating..."

Hunter glanced up, and didn't seem amused that there were two of them now. but waved his hand absently.
"I want to know, without any of your cryptic responses or riddles, just what plan have you set into motion with that new elf."
though Mister Richard's noted Thobias...and merely smirked. that was going to be fun.
Malik sighed lightly, and turned his attention to Thobias.
"what buisness is it of yours? and why are you humans so apt at questioning beings that are far above yourselves? Why don't you stay with your own needs and not bother me."

"Your sense of duty extends too far this time Kaznec, you're not supposed to be getting yourself hurt." Letting him keep her hand at bay before she tugged it away so he wouldn't be paranoid of being poked at anymore. A nod and she dug into a pouch at her hip, pulling out a little clay container of creamy semi-translucent pale green substance. Quite the wonderful thing...especially for ones like her who were getting hurt a lot. Uncapping it, she dipped two fingers in then reached up, and gently as possible took to rubbing it into the spot. "Passing out is not well..." Before a blink at the name, but he duly cleared up who it was. "Another one? First Seons and now Laerethe. I'm sure you're tickled pink with all of this happeing around you. Sure better than some old book we found in ancient ruins."
She fixed the slight tilt that had been made when he tugged her hat and merely settled her weight on her feet and sighed lightly. What was she going to do with that captain, always stealing her stuff. Hm, was probably time to steal something back...oh but what could she take that would make her amused and him annoyed?
"Well good going, I'm sure you'll get it soon enough and be thumping people on the head. You never own your staff unless you've been thumped over the head with it." Or so Sevilin often said, probably from personal experience. But she turned clouded silver and gold eyes on Thobias, or rather his direction as he made his observation and a chuckle as Malik bristled. Good old daddy. "If you call parentage 'oddly related'."" Looking up to her father. "Apparently here, the elves, humans, and dragon things are all on the same social level." Though she did share her father's opinion.
