Jasiri moved her way slowly against the savvanah, trying her best not to be recognized by the others laying together not far off. There was a chill breeze that ruffled her fur as she walked, and a calm silence that fell over the savvanah like a blanket. She finnaly reached her destionation, a small grassy leadge. She sat herself down, looking far across the land towards what soon grew into dessert and harsh conditions. She soon would be there, the sand beneath her feet, the everlasting feeling of dryness around her, dangers around every corner. She couldn't help but smile when she thought of this. It was going to be an adventure, and atleast she would have her family by her side, and Sukutu. She looked back at the clump of animals not far off. This was the first time she had ever thought of them as her family. She thought back to when she was younger. When Teule and Taka first took her in. She knew she would have died if it weren't for them. Tuele had always thought her as a little sister, she knew that, but back then she wasn't abile to except Taka as a mother, because of her own. It was almost hard to picture her mother now, it had been so long ago. She was only a little cub when she died. But she remeberd those deep all knowing violet eyes, that reminded her of a sunset. There was just one memory left that she has of her mother, and she clung to it now as the sun began to set, and small stars began to line the horizon.
"Moma! Moma! Can't I have a bath tommorow?!" The small brown cub protested as her mothers tounge gently licked at the top of her head. The tounge stoped, and a female lioness looked down at the cub. "Now Jasiri, if I do that, you'll keep asking to have your bath the next day, and you will be filthy." Jasiri looked at the ground. "So." She mumbled. "Come now Jasiri, I will make it better for you. Would you like a story?" The cubs ears perked up a little, and her eyes brighted. "Yes moma." The mother finished behind Jasiris ears before she began. "A long time ago before there were any lions or lioness on the earth, Gods ruled. There was God for almost everything...a God of Time, a Goddess of Chaos, a God of hope..." She continued. "There was also a God of Day and a Goddess of night. Soon the Sun God and Goddess fell in love, and a baby was born." Jasiri's tail swiveled back and forth as she listend. " A cub like me?" She asked excitedly. "Well, almost. This baby was very special, it contained both the day, and the night. The other Gods and Goddesses frowned apon the love between Day and Night, and took the child, and placed it between the two, seperating them from each other for eternity. This child was then forever called the Twilight, the time between day and night." Her mother finished up the cleaning, and looked down at her cub. "Now that wasn't so bad was it." She smiled. "But Moma! What ever happened to the cub! Didn't it get lonely without its parents?" Her mother sighed, and looked up at the sky. " Maybe she found some friends, little cub.' Jasiri laughed and batted at her mothers ear. But her mother didn't laugh. She didn't make a sound. Jasiri followed her gaze off into the horizon where she could see a cluster of grays and blacks coming towards them. "Whats that?" Her mother stood, a look of shock in her eyes. "Run Jasiri! Run!" The sound of her mothers shrill voice didn't make her think twice. Danger was coming. She ran off towards the forest, taking one last look at her mother before she dissapeared into the trees.
That was the last she ever saw of her mother. She sighed, and looked up at the painted sky. She knew her mothers soul would be roaming free in the twighlight, looking over her on her journey. "Goddess of Twighlight. Protect my mother, and let her soul be at peace." She prayed, and stood up, heading back to the cluster...her family.

Mwali had done a well enough job convincing Koho that he had gotten rest at all. His eyes had been narrowed enough so at a glance they'd appear closed but allowed him enough room to peer through. He hardly looked at anything though, his eyes starred dully into an empty void befre him, his mind had taken control of him. Worry knotted his gut and drove rocks into his throat. He didn't want to die... he wanted to live the life he had left everything for, live with his new mate, live with his new family, his new pride, his new home... but once again he had to leave. Leave the paradise he had found to take responsability for the place that his birth had destaned him for. The pride would not approve of what he'd done. They'd disagree with his leaving in the first place, they'd disagree with his choise to become a pridelander, with his love for Koho, and his pride in a handfull of rouges who weren't even made of all lions. When he told them, and he knew that he would have to eventually, that the only other heirs were halfbloods things would only get worse. He'd be a target- being the last of the male purebloods. They'd want him to betray Koho, take up his father's ways, perhaps mate with each pureblooded lioness to make up for the loss, and rule through the blood of others. All the things he'd die to keep himself from doing.
He groaned at Koho's words, trying to keep the appearence that he had been resting to keep her and the others from worry. His usial soft smile came to his muzzle but soon broke into a yawn. "Yes... traveling by night would be wise. The desert's cooler during the night and we're likely to get father with less dangers." He rolled himself to his belly then pushed himself up to his feet. His raggy mane lay matted about him- something that was quickly resolved with a shake of his body. For once his expresion seemed stern, his eyes filled with determination, "We must be swift, Koho... the longer we delay from those lands the longer it will take to persuade the others to accept that my pride is over. The bloodline of the goddess is broken and we're to accept it."
He turned to her with a soft smile, "I give it up for you, my dear. I want you to know that no matter what they say or do, my heart is here with you."

Kimeti sighed as the group rested. This was the last thing he wanted to do and he wanted to get back to the pride.
Tail twitching impatiently he looked at the water in front of him, his reflection staring back at him. Growling quietly he rose from his spot and shook his growing mane out. He had caught sight of Koho and Mwali walking off from the group and wanted to make it known that they should get going.
Moving at a resonable jog, Kimetit ook off in the direction the two lovbirds when and was pleased to see they didn't wander too far. Walking up to their resting forms he nudged Mwali with a paw. "We really should get going. I am sure mother is wondering where I went if not worried since I haven't returned yet. Plus, if she resigns her position before we get there, there will be an ever harder time of you returning tot he pride unscathed."

[[ whee It wasn't that great, but I do admit, I put alot more effort in it <333]]
Jasiri returned to the group, a serene sense of calm about her. She could tell they were going. She motioned to the others, then followed behind Mwali and Koho. When the others came up with her, and they were all in a group, she moved between Sukutu and Teule, giving Suku a lick on the cheek and the others a warm smile. She would do anything to protect her family, and she knew she might have her chance in time. She was almost an adult, and the oldest lioness of the group, next to Koho. She was not expert fighter, but she knew she would have the strengh when the time came. The Firekin were a tough pride, and were already twisting the minds of the young ones, as she noted with Kimeti. At least he had come to some sense...but the others might not change there ways. Especially the older lionesses. They were going to be the hardest to controll. Her heart went out to the Firekin, even with there crulties, with enough guidense and time, they might even become as peacful as the Pridelanders, but that would take alot. Mwali was braver than he thought for going up against them. She batted at the tail of her older brother, giving him a reasurring smile. They would get through it all, together.

Teule noticed the sudden movement as the group moved together. He hand't been to the Firekinlands in a long while. His muscles rippled in tense anxiousness. He gave Jasiri a nudge with his shoulder on her and placed a rich smile on his maw. His claws dug into the soft dirt under him, looking at Mwali for a brief second. Taka had drawn herself up behind the three cubs. He suddenly remember the new cub that traveled here from the Firekin lands. Mwali's nephew. He gave a light snort before ushering the thought of out doing the other cub somehow.
"Let's go."

Mwali had been learning well in the way of deception, or perhaps Koho had just been too concerned with her own exhaustion, for the usually vigilant lioness did not notice her love's feigned sleep. Her quick ears did however pick up a noise that might have been a groan from the mighty lion. Her immediate concerns were shifted away with the happy image of his smile, that soft, gentle smile she had fell in love with. She restrained herself from the light laugh at his mussed mane, but she couldn't hide the concern that issued into her heart from his sudden serious expression. The golden lioness had rarely seen such a look upon Mwali's features, though, she supposed, with such a serious matter coming to it would happen more often.... The femme's chest swelled with pride as Mwali seemed to take lead. He truly had improved greatly from the spoiled little prince he had been when he had come.
Doubt had never been something plaguing the self-confident lioness, however her prince's reassurance spread a new strength through her body, all the way down to the tip of her tail, which twitched and batted his haunch. "Thank you, my love. You mean the world to me and I will fight for you faithfully. I will always be with you, even if you can't see me. All you must do is call." A mischevious smile spread across the slight lioness's maw. She knew that her presence would only put the other lions on higher alert. Her heart could not leave Mwali completely alone to face the pride, but it didn't mean that they had to know exactly where she was. At the white cub's suggestion Koho picked up her strong paws and started at a gentle jog, a lion's traveling gait which she used while patrolling the territory. Her muscles would be able to sustain this pace for a while before tiring, for which she was thankful.

((I guess so Kolina ^^;;;; sweatdrop ))
The adolescent gave a loving smile to Jasiri, slowly standing up before he gave a rather tired yawn and quickly trotted over to her side, his ears then flicked back and forth as he looked at all of them, all of them where very brave...braver then he would've thought, that just made them all the more precious as friends to him. He smirked at the white juvenille's eagerness and then nudged him with his muzzle, only to jump over him and start to make his way along side his foster mother and Mwali, giving the older male a respectful nod his way, he looked up to the red lion some, coming all this way to find love only to go back to where he will probably be killed by his own pride, he was brave and Sukutu found that admirable to say the least.
((Gah I have the biggest brainfart of all time gonk ))
