Remus's shoulders shook but no more tears fell. His other hand reached up and touched Lina's hand on his face. "No... it doesn't... The feeling a life being torn by your own jaws, especially when the life used to be a friend...."

She entered the city in record time, going to the rooftops as she moved towards the park. Troden's scent easily guided her to his location.

Dreams of his family entered Remus's mind. His sister, father, and mother were all there. Alice spoke first. "Remus, don't let it trouble you." Then his father saying, "Listen to her Remus. You did what you had to do." In his mind, Remus turned almost unbelievingly to his mother. "Thank you Remus. You have put my spirit at ease having destroyed my murderer. I'll always be there to help you." His family faded away and left him to a dreamless slumber.

Luckily, Troden had just walked away from meeting Lotan. Only a few bruises on his neck showed of their confrontation. He was leaning against an ancient tree as Lina came up to him. An eyebrow raised as he watched her, "And what brings you to my prescence today?"

Lina slowed to a stop a few yards away from the Rajen Leader, breathing a little deeper than usual, but that was all that indicated that she had just ran from one end of the city to the other in a matter of minutes, "You know why. Don't pretend with me for I've know you too long for that."

Amusement flashed in his eyes as he listened. Oh, he knew very well what she meant. Remus, her lover now it seemed. He could smell his scent all over her, including the blood she had spilled in the alley, "You are right. I won't pretend. Yes I know of your little pet becoming...your love. "Protective are we?" Troden said, watching as a few strands of hair fell away from his head, "But who said I would go after him? I much more complicated than that..." he grinned, standing up, clearly not affected by her threat, "And that was a long time ago Lina. I am not so naive anymore." his eyes narrowed as he began to walk towards her.
