Tala Kaze o.o Wow, I haven't been here in -ages- Haha, so, yea, we actually just had a parade today... and being stupid (as usual) I dropped my (the school's) Piccolo on the ground, but it's not broken. Good stuff. And Since we're on the topic of new flutes... erm... I'm getting a new flute soon-ish? Maybe. I hope so. My friend has a silver-bodied gold mouthpiece flute too. They're really cool. And this summer I'm going to play rock flute at this program my parents are making me do. O.o Rock flute? What's that?

RinoaHeartilly KitoYasha RinoaHeartilly It's okay. I don't have one either. gonk Hah. Now we're 2 for 2. >D xD Touche. Hey, we have the same hat and watch. ::Blink.:: Woo.
Anywho, I saw a flute like that at a music store up here once. I started saving up for it but only got to $250 before I spent it on my guitar. It was around $3000 but totally worth it, and now I have to start all over again. I got Vincento in September, and I don't have an allowance. gonk gah, I can't see your avvi!!! D= i shall check it another time. -thats a lot of money. Yeah. My parents are refusing to purchase it, though, because they say I should just find one instrument and stick to it, and yet I love both! ::Wails.::

In marching band, it seems as though all of the other sections dislike the flutes. Is it that way with your band? confused

Hi everybody, I am back.
We had awards night a few days ago, and the BD forgot to recoginize one of my senior flutist friends. stare
Then a few days ago, we had sectionals, and the three of us all decided we didn't like first chair, so we locked her out of the room. It was funny we even kept out her uber buff trombone boyfriend.
Second chair is dropping band next year, and Mr. May decided to be stupid and bring up 2 flutes who can't play. One purposely took AP Biology so she would have to be in wind. On top of that we're losing all of our good players next year. We're gonna suck sooo much.

If so it's best if you learn to play as many instruments as possible, though I could see why your parents would say something like that. instruments aren't exactly cheap. I lost my flute a couple times and nearly killed myself because of it xD One time i seriously thought someone had taken it. After I found it i asked my mom if she would have bought me another one if mine had truly been lost and she said no D= I currently have 1 flute, a keyboard, a recorder from grade school xD, and a trumpet, though it's my brothers i can use it if I want to. And I'm learning how to play clarinet this summer, supposedly =P

usagi_102 In marching band, it seems as though all of the other sections dislike the flutes. Is it that way with your band? confused It is in mine. At least, in jazz band. This was the first year they had flutes in jazz band. We were supposed to switch over to saxes, but the BD didn't exactly follow through. We were playin this one song and the BD cut us off when the flutes had a high note and someone turned around with their hand on their ear sayin ' That's why you're not in here.' and then whenever we messed up they would be like 'It's the flutes!!' >o

Not like we already do, because my teacher is such a ******** idiot! But our grade twelves (damn them for graduating) are the only good flautists in the senior band. AND the only two piccolos are grade twelves. I guess I'll just have to replace them...

First chair, all solos. I envy her quite a bit. I hope I get first chair -looks hopeful-

RinoaHeartilly gonk that sucks. are you thinking about becoming a musician maybe and majoring music in college? Yes, I'm probably going to end up majoring in Music Education--or some sort of education, at least, my preference being a social studies or band teacher, or who knows, maybe both--so, my parents will have to buy me more instruments. ^-^ Right now I'm just sticking with guitar and flute, though. Odd combo, ne? Reminds me of Jethro Tull. XD

I can proudly declare that senior flutist to be me! And I'm the only picc player! Well, technically there are two others, but they don't play, except for pep. Oh well. Lindsey thinks that he's in denial for losing me. Dunno why. All I can do is tune and play by ear, not exactly good points for band. Can you believe he cried? I'm sorry, I'm still stuck on that... ~shudders~ That poor, blonde witch. I almost feel sorry for her and her ultra buff boyfriend. Almost. Actually, I don't... I don't at all. It's Karma I say. Karma for being a condescending... that "I'm so much better then you" attitude is just... and her head is always stuck up May's a**! Gah!!! Don't worry too much about the good players, hon. Although your new flute players will suck, you've still got some good people in band. Just focus on them, and you'll be fine. Sure, they're extremely annoying, but so are all really good musicians. Besides, the Tenor from Symphonic is going up, and she's pretty good.
