so I've been getting the whole "when are you going to score yourself a MAN yet?" talk from my supervisor.
She's not the only one to ask me this. My driving instructor too. I almost got into an accident because of it.
You people make it sound SOOOOO easy to get one... like they grow out of trees or cabbage patches...

Celebiest so I've been getting the whole "when are you going to score yourself a MAN yet?" talk from my supervisor. She's not the only one to ask me this. My driving instructor too. I almost got into an accident because of it. You people make it sound SOOOOO easy to get one... like they grow out of trees or cabbage patches... Luckily, people haven't been bugging me about it but I definitely feel like I should get back to dating/meeting people soon, especially since I'm getting older now and everyone around my age is either getting married or having babies.

I suppose no one gets it right the first time but I think you should probably talk with that person if it makes you uncomfortable.

Tch, you're lucky people haven't bugged you about this. Do I paint like a giant bullseye on myself that has people asking me about the whole dating thing? The thing is that I'm kinda shy and awkward about romance. Friendship I can do, but love? where would I even find a man who would be able to tolerate how horrible I can be on a bad day? or me constantly fangirling about anime?

Actually, people use to bug me about it. Then I got a boyfriend and we broke up after a year and half together. People stopped mentioning it after that. I'm actually glad that they're distracted by the babies...but I'm sure it'll come up again. You don't need to tell me about it! I feel the same way. Friendship is easy but love is just a whole other thing especially when you're introverted. I try to keep my love of anime pretty tamed around other people unless it's with my best girlfriend who loves anime too. But with a guy? Forget about it. It's either they know a lot more than you which is intimidating or they just don't know anything about it or don't care which makes you feel like a huge nerd.  I totally understand. It's just easier to act like yourself when you're feeling horrible/having a crummy day and not have to worry about someone else putting up with your bad mood/trying to temper it.

You should talk to the other person and find something that's mutually enjoyable. Wouldn't want them to expect it not realizing that you didn't like it one bit.

Haha...I accidentally burned myself while taking out the cookies since I was using kitchen towels (I don't have oven mitts). Luckily, it's a really minor burn and the cookies are delicious.

I was in a good mood this morning but then that got ruined right before I left work. This other manager had forwarded a request from the auditors but was so fricking vague that I had to waste 15 mins in emails back and forth before she finally gave me the 2 numbers she was looking at. Moment I saw them, I knew the answer. Didn't bother replying and went home instead. I'm not going to answer something right away when someone wants it fast but wastes my time because that person doesn't know how to communicate properly.

in the summer I go around wearing cute flowy sundresses and the such, but once winter rolls around, I wind up looking like a slob since I'm usually found wearing hoodies and thick itchy turtle neck sweaters...
I suppose its better than freezing my a** off since it gets extremely cold here in Canada, but even so I still shrivel up and die a little on the inside when I realize I traded away my sense of style for practicality. Sometimes I look like one of those otakus they make fun of in animes
