Lorcán noticed the two shinobi from earlier appear, though he didn't say anything.

Merrick looked away as the armor and torn clothing fell empty to the floor with a clattering sound. "Tell me about it," he said quietly. An eyebrow rose as the wolf masked ninja from before glared at him. "You're about as intimidating as a wet cloth in a rainstorm," he said blandly, seeing the ninja's hands clenching and unclenching.

Lynx glanced to the door where three more like her with masks depicting a tiger, wolf, and crane, the latter two whom the group had seen before, appeared. "Get the injured to the hospital," she said flatly. The wolf masked one seemed focused on Merrick before he looked away.

Kasumi glanced towards Amelia, noticing her use of a rare and very valued talent in this particular village known as Mokuton. She noticed the ANBU 'Okami' looking away from her son and resisted the urge to blurt "Who's the b***h now?" in a taunting manner, recognizing the reaction to one's Alpha.

Constance looked between the wolf masked ninja and Merrick. She smirked slightly as she linked her arm with Merrick's. She could see the tension in the wolf masked ninja and knew that it didn't concern Merrick in the least. Amelia looked over at Kasumi and smiled a little, giving a small nod. Nala sat next to her, licking her paws. She and her feline familiar walked over to where the others stood. "Well that was definitely a good fight on our part. They didn't stand much of a chance."Merida turned away from the others, looking to see where Lynx's cousin had gone to, making sure he was okay. After all, he hadn't come out during the fight at all.

Kasumi tilted her head as the crane masked kunoichi pulled out the unmasked ninja from behind the bar; his breathing was a bit ragged, indicating cracked or broken ribs and blood trickled from above his right eye and corner of his mouth.

Lynx sighed. "You were talking about demons, what do you know of them?" she said, well aware her tone was sharp and irritated.

Lorcán tilted his head fractionally. "We are not allies with the one that most likely sent them, if that is what you assume. He tried to kidnap Cass here as well as Merrick's mate though we were able to retrieve them," he said coolly.

Merrick shrugged one shoulder, watching Merida from the corner of his eye. "When he shows his face, I'm going to break it... after I tear his head off through his a**," he said quietly.

"Hmm, still alive, good," Merida said with a small nod as the unmasked ninja was pulled out by the crane masked ninja. She turned away from the two abruptly to join her friends. "We've been having a bit of trouble with certain demons," Cassandra said with a small shrug. "They seem hell bent on destroying all of us." She ran a hand lightly through her hair. "We are getting ourselves ready for a war that seems to be heading quickly our way," Amelia said with a small nod. "Not only do we have demons after us, but hunters as well. They are apparently being given powers by the demons to get at us easier.""Yeah, things are getting worse and worse," Carolyn muttered.

Kasumi snickered softly. "I think the hunters need to pull their respective heads out of their asses," she muttered.

Lynx cocked her head slightly, snorting. "We know of war, at least my grandfather and great uncles do... they're all assholes," she said, muttering the last part under her breath

Lorcán shifted his weight, not seeming all that surprised.

Merrick sighed as he tilted his head. "The hunters don't seem to realize that while the demons, who probably don't seem to them to be so, are simply stringing them along... once they've gotten as many witches out of the way as possible, the demons will turn on them," he said quietly.

"Yes, they do," Carolyn said with a nod as Kasumi spoke. "They are focusing on one thing they fear, not realizing another thing they should fear is right next to them.""Humans have, and will always be so very naive," Amelia said with a small shrug. "Even after this war we will never really have true peace. While we have those humans who respect us and call us friends, we have other humans who fear us and call us enemies." She folded her hands in front of her and sighed. "I have seen it too often before."Carolyn's head swiveled around to look at Amelia. "Seen it before? I knew you were older than you looked...but how old are you exactly?"Amelia's lips twitched into a small smile. She knew they wondered, but had never come right out and asked. "When did we first meet each other Kasumi? During the Salem Witch Trials, wasn't it?""Hot damn.." Merida said softly. "Dang, you don't look that old," Constance said as she looked at Amelia. "In truth I am older." Amelia said with a shrug.

Kasumi sighed. "It's true that people fear what they don't understand... but they don't seem to grasp that sometimes what 'goes bump in the night' and in their nightmares may walk right beside them and they don't realize it. I do remember that, Amelia... just curious, but what was the earliest thing you remember?" she said thoughtfully.

Kaosujin Ryu okay time for me to go for a little while..I'll be on later tonight if you happen to be on Amelia gave a small shrug. "I am not really sure. Over the years I have taken my memories and put them away for safe keeping." She ran a hand lightly through her hair. "My memories are so jumbled sometimes because there are so many."Cassandra listened silently to them for a moment before speaking up. "My mother told me once before that you were much older than you seemed. I always thought she only meant a few years."Carolyn whistled softly. "Well we learn something new about each other everyday."

Kasumi cocked her head. "Trust me, I know what that's like; it's only through a ton of meditation that I was able to focus and organize my subconscious so that I'm able to somewhat make sense of the memories I have," she said with amusement, well aware that Amelia would be highly curious as to why she'd asked about her age and what it had to do with Kasumi herself.

Lynx glanced at the rest of the group before she unconsciously jerked upon seeing Lorcán's eyes. Those particular eyes were highly rare and even more highly valued; in the near twelve centuries that their villages had existed, only three people had had those eyes.

Lorcán cocked his head slightly, his golden amber irises becoming silvery with four narrow rings around his pupils. He saw the masked young woman jerk upon seeing them, though he didn't know why.

Merrick shifted his weight slightly, sheathing his large sword over his shoulder, where it hung as if glued to his back.

Amelia's head tilted to the side as she listened to Kasumi. She wondered why the other woman had asked her age. It had been a long time since someone had come on out and asked her that. "Is there a reason you have asked me age," she asked curiously. Cassandra watched as Lynx jerked back after seeing Lorcan's eyes. She moved slightly so she could see what they looked like, her head cocking to the side slightly. "I think your eyes have unnerved her a little bit," she said softly as she gently touched Lorcan's cheek. Constance crossed her arms over her chest as she looked around at everyone. Aside from the ninja who had been knocked aside earlier, everyone seemed fine. Well except for Merida who looked a little weak on her feet. "Perhaps we should go to wherever we were heading? Maybe sit down for a minute." She gave a slight nod in Merida's direction. "What?" Merida said as Carolyn looked at her. "I'm fine. Really."

Kasumi smirked slightly, cocking her head with a teasing smile. "That isn't hard to guess, considering you aren't the only one that aged well," she said with a throaty chuckle she knew Carolyn liked.

Lynx tilted her head, liking the idea though she didn't say anything as it seemed that the group was intelligent strategically. She heard the Rinnegan user's words and found them idiotic that he didn't realize what he had and how powerful and desired they were. "There is a park several blocks away that is decent for relaxation," she said coolly.

Lorcán blinked at Cassandra's words. "Why would they unnerve her? It isn't like they're unique," he said quietly, not seeing Lynx glance his way as if she'd heard him and found it idiotic that he didn't know what he had.

Merrick tilted his head, glancing at Merida, inhaling before he paused, his gaze shifting out of the window as his deep navy-violet irises turned a deep crimson with three tomoe before it shifted into an unusual form.

Amelia shrugged a little. "It has been a while since someone has asked me my age." She absentmindedly scratched Nala's head who gave a soft purr. Her head tilted in Merida's direction and she nodded. "Yes, let us get out of here."Merida rolled her eyes, sighing with exasperation. "I said I am fine, and I mean it. Dont look at me like that." She began to mutter under her breath as she made her way to the door. Cassandra chuckled softly and shook her head. "Maybe it doesnt seem so unique to us, but to others it may be. We are in a different world Lorcan. I am sure they see things differently than we do." She slipped her hand into his. "Come, lets go to this park."Constance noticed Lynx's cool tone of voice but she didnt comment on it. "Yeah, lets go to this park." She said as she tugged on Merrick's hand to follow after Merida.

Kasumi shrugged as she strolled idly after Merida, glancing back at Carolyn for a moment as she smirked playfully.

Lynx tilted her head as she led the way a couple of paces ahead of Merida; she had been raised to think herself better than those around her and whilst she was skilled, she did not agree with her family's views.

Lorcán tilted his head with a shrug as he walked after Merida and the masked kunoichi. "It seems to me that she is conflicted and cannot decide whether to be friendly with us or distant," he said quietly to her.

Merrick walked alongside Constance, cocking his head; he had noticed that his mother had been watching the woman keenly as if she knew something about the woman she wasn't planning on immediately revealing. He blinked when Merida opened the door and got doused with water almost immediately. He glanced at Constance. "If I'm right, then that's my 'dear' uncle," he murmured to her; his tone was dry but edged with amusement as he didn't know his uncle all that well as the man had been much like smoke during his younger years and now things were becoming complicated.

Carolyn grinned at Kasumi and followed after them. She brushed a stray strand of hair from her face. Merida followed after the masked woman, still muttering to herself. When the door opened she was suddenly drenched with water, causing her to cough and sputter. She pushed her soak hair from her face, eyes narrowing as she tried to find the culprit. Cassandra nodded slowly. "Yeah it seems like it," she said softly. "We are strangers so I am not surprised."Constance snickered when Merida got a full blast of water to the face. She glanced over at Merrick and nodded. "She needed something to cool her down. She doesn't like when people think she has any weakness."

Kasumi chuckled at Merida's reaction to the prank. "No need to get hot under the collar, Meri-chan," she said with amusement. She knew Merida would recognize the old nickname and probably a bit annoyed at it, though she found it funny sometimes to drive friends crazy.

Lynx paused, glancing up momentarily before she cocked her head, stopping as her stance showed complete shock. He is dead, or so they have said, she thought. The blond she was looking at through the wall was crouching idly on the wall looking down towards the woman that had gotten soaked with water with the fingertips of one hand lightly touching the wall; he was also her great-great-great grandfather.

Lorcán cocked an eyebrow when the woman froze, her head tilted up a bit. "Unless I'm mistaken, she's rattled for some reason, as if she didn't expect... " he said, his voice trailing away as he thought hard and quickly.

Merrick shrugged. "We all have weaknesses, even us as strong as we are. It doesn't change what we are deep down, people that want bonds with others... and sometimes things that are less than pleasant," he said with a shrug.
