Kahlilia laughed. "Either," She replied jokingly to Esmeralda. When their little joke was done, she stood up and smiled warmly. "I can't thank you enough for this." She said to her.

"Well, the answer is pretty much the same either way," replied Esmeralda cheerily. When Kahlilia thanked her, she smiled wryly. "Trust me, hon, you don't need to thank me." She looked sort of faraway. "I don't know if you'll still want to when it's all over with."

Kahlilia had blurted it out before she even realized it. Blushing deeply again, she rested her arms at her sides and smiled apologetically. "Sorry," She murmured. Wow, that was stupid. Do something again, stupid.

Esmeralda started, as though she hadn't realized she'd been speaking aloud. "Oh. I...um...nothing. Never mind. It's just...yeah. Nothing. Sorry, I was thinking out loud." More honestly, she just didn't want to tell Kahlilia what she had been thinking. Particularly because it might scare the girl, and for reasons she didn't want to think about, she didn't want to scare this girl who might do her brother so much good.

Kahlilia tilted her head, wondering what it was she wasn't being told. However, she kept her mouth shut and decided not to ask.
She could feel sleepiness closing in on her, but for now it wasn't enough to show outwardly. The rosy hues of embarassment faded from her cheeks like a slideshow and her face returned to its normal cream-colored appearance. "Are we okay?" She asked Esmeralda quietly.

Esmeralda, back to normal, grinned. "I'm okay. Why wouldn't we be okay? Unless, of course, Roman happens to drop in to say goodnight, happens to see you, and happens to wonder what our tête-à-tête was all about." She didn't exactly seem to be shooing Kahlilia out - more just pointing out a state of affairs that might come to pass.

Kahlilia nodded. "Yeah, don't want him getting suspicious, huh?" She smiled a little bit although such a situation was something she really didn't want. She wanted to take a long bath and go to sleep now. She was feeling very lazy suddenly, and it was hitting her hard. "I've probably said this a million times already, but thank you for talking to me," Kahlilia said, smile brightening as she stood. Then, she added in a soft voice, "You're a good friend."

Esmeralda smiled a little. "Thousands would disagree," she replied lightly. "But I'm glad you think so. I didn't mind talking to you." Getting up casually, she wandered to the door and opened it for Kahlilia. "Don't want him wondering what we're up to, after all," she said with a wink.

((OOC: Dunno where Chris is, Esmeralda and Kahlilia are in Esmeralda's room talking, Xavier and Summer are in the hayloft and I think we all know what they are doing there, Emily...kinda dropped out of the picture when Keith did, and Roman is between the barn and his room after checking on baby Ariel, mommy Kelly, and Phoenix. 8D Good?))

Shannon entered her home and headed to bed, stretching tiredly as she went.
Nanina sat crosslegged under an old tree far out on the property, Bessie lay beside her sleeping. I'm rediculous, the girl muttered, shaking her head disscustedly. Leaning back, she watched the stars above twinkled down at her, and she sighed.

(( Back I got a job and i've been busy since I have to baby sit and work. But I got a few days off and I'm back lol. Lets see if I can get back))
Emily by then had eaten her meal and was sitting on the fence that overlooked the dirt road. In her left hand was a sketch book and in her right was a drawing pencil. Currently the drawing consisted of the fields and she was adding some more to the picture while waiting for Keith.

(Misery, Evailya, you're back !! Hi! [: -squeezehug-
We also had a food fight in the mess hall, just so everybody knows that. Its probably a freakin' mess. xD)
Kahlilia's smile brightened. She remembered how she and Esmeralda had lightly teased Roman about being protective over them while they had been eating. She hadn't thought much of it at the time, she had been in a bouncy, giggly mood and nothing made much sense to her in that state of mind. "I'll probably see you tommorow sometime," Kahlilia said. "I'm going to head off to bed... in the meantime, g'night." With that, she began to walk casually over to her room.
Once she was in her room, she saw her luggage halfway unpacked. Her toileteries were all in their places, but clothes and various accessories were still in a heap, scattered across the room as though somebody had held a scavenger hunt in the room. Kahlilia let her hair down and brushed it, and began her 'bedtime routine' - washing her face, brushing her teeth, and changing into a tee-shirt seven times too large for her. This faded purple shirt was her form of pajamas, and she was quite comfortable with that.

Esmeralda grinned as Kahlilia left. "Good night," she said lightly. "Sweet dreams." Then she turned to the problem of her own unpacking - she hadn't even gotten started, and everything clean and tidy in her nature revolted against seeing all her things stuffed casually in her duffel.
Kneeling, she unzipped it and got to work settling in.

((*Tackles* I missed you all! And thanks, that gives me an idea.))
Keith stood in the doorway to the messhall, eyes wide. How had he missed that? "Well, I'll have to clean this up before Shannon sees it." He gave a kick to a fork that was near him and then left to hunt down recrutes, mainly EMily, and some cleaning supplies.
