((Wow. That was amazing!))

Ialo's eyes went out of focus again as his mother grabbed him, while he still had the glove on. Gods, he hoped Luna had the sense to take hers off. He saw his mother a young girl, arguing with his grandparents. She was always mad at them for protecting her... She'd never say it out loud. He watched his mother cut her hair short. And whenever I talked to my grandparents, they claimed that to show their power would be harmful somehow. Ialo struggled to keep an objective view of his mother's memories, but felt himself getting swept along in the emotions. So that's what Dad looked like.... The memories became slightly more turbulent as his mother began to panic. Luna, Ialo thought. A little help please!?

Mrs. Enlil fell halfway unconscious when she touched her son and his friend. She began recalling memories that she wasn't particularly fond of - well, the first two anyways. She felt mildly proud of cutting her hair, but now that she was a parent of her own, realized how gut-wrenching it is to have your child declare his independence. Are the kids seeing this? She was happy though, to recall that memory of her sweetheart - now her husband.

((Character development time!))

Luna sensed distress coming from Ialo and his mother as they went deeper into eachothers memories. She suddenly pulled herself together and grabbed Ialo's free hand with her ungloved one. As soon as him and his mother weren't touching, both of their eyes refocused. "Ialo?" Luna asked, her free hand around his neck in an embrace. She suddenly felt protective of him, almost like his mother. Luna was careful not to touch him with her glove, and hopefully he was doing the same. "Ialo, are you alright? You kind of looked like you were about to burst." she said. Her head turned to Mrs. Enlil and she nodded, as if telling her that she understood. Luna turned her head back around and continued to carefully hug Ialo. It was funny how her head fit perfectly under his chin.

Ialo was relieved when Luna separated them. Not that he doesn't love his mother of course, but invading someone's memories is a little... tiring. And, he wasn't sure what memories his mother might have picked up, if any. He was dimly aware of Luna embracing him, but his mind was a little fuzzy still. He blinked and his mind cleared up. Luna fit right underneath his chin. He felt his heart skip a beat, and his inner dragon fire rev up a little. Okay, this isn't bad. I can do this. She's warm. And soft. Gaahh! What'm I thinking?! He was quite positive that his body temperature just jumped up about 10 degrees.

Mrs. Enlil refocused herself, and nodded back at Luna. Woman to woman, they had just agreed to never spill a word of what had happened. Those memories were private, and they would not leave this room. She admired how Luna and Ialo seem to go perfectly together. She smiled, not only at the prospect of her son finding something outside the family worth fighting for, but at the memories she had picked up from him. She never realized how brutal she could be. And, it was amusing how the wolf boy greeted him on the first day of school, and how he seemed to have a fangirl already on his first class.

Luna softly closed her eyes when she heard Ialo's heartbeat. She smiled. Is it skipping beats? she thought. In an effort to calm it down, her hand tightened around his neck and she pushed slightly against him. She suddenly felt his entire body become hotter within a few seconds. Okay, that doesn't seem to healthy.. she thought as her eys snapped open. She pulled from Ialo and looked up at him, her arm still around him. "Are you okay?" she asked softly. Her red eyes looked almost glossy in the lighting they were in.

Ialo was a bit disappointed when Luna let go, and actually pulled away. Actually, a lot disappointed. Her eyes were very pretty. Everyone in his family had either blue or hazel eyes. He happened to have hazel eyes himself, but Luna's red eyes were so... glittery. Yes, a stupid word, but it was the only thing he could think of. "Huh, what?" He didn't quite hear her question, but assumed it probably had something to do with the change in temperature. He put his hand in front of his mouth, and looked worried. "I'm not breathing fire again, am I?"

Meanwhile, Mrs. Enlil used an intagibility spell to leave the classroom unoticed. She was only on the other side of the wall, of course, but she knew the importance of privacy. She looked at her Blackberry, which had hundreds of missed messages. Most were from potential business deals, only a few were from her family. What have I done? She thought about the riches she had brought to her family. Was it worth it? Is all the money in the world worth it? For once, she turned it off, determined to pay more attention to her family.

((Okay then! It's safe to say we're both -5:00? EDT?))

Luna giggled, "Of course not." she said, hugging him again before fully detaching her from him. "I would be ashes right now if you were." she said softly, but playfully. Luna took a second look at Ialo. The short hair really compliments his facial features.. she thought. She tried to imagine herself cutting off her hair as short as below her earlobes. It probably wouldn't look as good. Her head slightly lowered itself. Maybe it's a dragon thing.. she thought, smiling. Luna looked up to see Ialo again. "Why would you be breathing fire anyway? Are you that thirsty?" she asked, real curiousity in her eyes.

[[Actually, I'm GMT- 5. Not sure if that's the same thing. >.<]]

Ialo had no response. Not right away at least. He didn't quite understand why Luna was staring at him so. Although, her long hair did compliment her soft face. "Actually, I am a little thirsty," he admitted. "But that's besides the point. Fire-breathing is one of primary offensive moves of a dragon. The others being claws and a bull whip for a tail." he added after pausing. "Why, are you thirsty?"

((It's the same thing.))

Luna didn't soak in what Ialo asked. Her mind was too preoccupied with the little dragon lesson he gave her. "Did I offend you?" she asked, her gloved hand raising to slightly touch the corner of her lip. Luna looked worried, she didn't want to be such a bother. She suddenly shook her head. She was blocking his question, how rude is that? She looked back up at him. "I suppose I'm a little thirsty." she said, making it clear that if he didn't want to get anything to drink, that she didn't mind. Then again, Luna needed to be refreshed.

"No, no, you didn't offend me at all!" Ialo lazily waved his hand around, accidentally summoning a few small clouds, but shooed them away. "We could probably go downstairs and get fruit juice cause not everyone thrives on black coffee like I do, or - " And he stopped in midsentence. An idea popped up.

Luna's posture relaxed as he corrected her, and giggled when the clouds appeared. She nodded and watched as his mouth formed his words and suddenly she got an urge go through her. That's never happened... she thought, halfway in alarm. She blinked a few times before catching his next sentence, but then tilted her head when he cut off. "Or what?" Luna asked.

"Or.. or..." Ialo struggled to put his thoughts into words. "Well... what's stopping us from leaving? I mean, leaving this very instant, strolling right out the front door, and going to town, and wasting kilogram after kilogram of pocket change at the arcade or something?"

((DATE!))
PostPosted: Fri Jul 25, 2008 7:39 pm

Luna softly bit her lower lip in thought. Nothing really was stopping them. And Luna would love to cruise the town. Except.. "What about your mom?" Luna asked, instinctively turning her head to the last place she saw her. Her eyebrows pulled back when she had no sight of her. She turned back to Ialo. "Nevermind, I guess." she said, laughing. Her arms raised to softly hug herself. I never noticed how cold it was.. she thought as she looked down to see goosebumps forming on her arms. Her head raised. "Let's go then." Luna said, smiling.

Ialo grinned, and hooked his elbow around hers. After, of course, taking off his glove and stuffing it his pocket, where it promptly disappeared. Ahh, space distortion spells... You never let a dragon down. With his now gloveless and free arm, he gestured towards the door. "I present to you.... method number one of leaving." He made a show of swinging his arm around to point to the windows. "I present method number two." He filled every gesture with confidence that he didn't have ten seconds ago. His own natural body heat prevented him from sensing any dip in the temperature, but he did notice the goosebumps along Luna's arm, and kick up the dragon fire another notch.

((I believe some people call it... fluff?))
((It makes me go AWWWW too.
