Never before in his life had Steed a place such as this. He had heard many stories but never once believed that a place of such darkness could actually exist. Watching as the beasts formed from the shadows the ball of ice would float out in front of Steed and become crystal clear. The side of the orb facing Steed was a smooth surfaces that would absorb and focus energy while the other side of the orb, the side facing the Displacers, the ones Sera had just rolled past, was shaped into very small octagons. These would direct and further focus the energy pushed through the orb.

Slowly Steed would land in between Sera and the Displaces a wicked grin on his face. Reaching up with one hand Steed would remove his mask to reveal the his helmet that now hid his face. Now that he was in the heat of battle he did not need to hide behind a mask. No he would show the beasts of the Shadow Realm their prey before their death. Throwing his mask into the air it would shatter into small metal shards that would hover around him as he pointed both of his hands at the orb in front of him.

A bright light would begin to radiate from his hands keeping the two Displacers in front of him at bay. A grin would form behind his helmet as he released the light into his orb. The orb in front of him would glow brightly for a moment before all of the light faded for a moment. Just as quickly as the light faded it came back more potent than before erupting out the front of the ice orb in highly focused beams that easily consumed the shadow beasts in front of him.

Turning to face Sera Steed would throw his cloak into the air as he continued on towards the ominous tower in the distance.

"If this is all these shadow beasts have to offer, then we have nothing to worry about. But I really don't like the what you just said, and what's going to happen as we get closer to the center?"

"This is the traverse, the junction between worlds. When you teleport, you briefly touch the Shadow Realm. This is where all worlds overlap, and everything is possible. I just hope we don't run into anything worse than-"
At that point, Sera shut his jaw and leaped into action. Rounding the corner at the next "street" (if you could call a path of ever shifting shadows that) Sera and Steed encountered a full platoon of Shadow Marines. All 100 of them. Needless to say, both them and Sera were not amused. User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Sera cursed all the way as he sprang into the air, spiralling into a back kick as he aimed for the nearest building. The building quivered, bent, and moaned in no way that any building should have ever, ever done, before finally going down and collapsing on the first tenth of the platoon. Quickly, Sera took off his whole belt of Flashbangs and primed all of them, tossing them over the building and running cross-parallel away from the building.

"Quickly, we need to move. At best, that will only-"
BOOM! Was all the Steed heard, as the simultaneous explosion of Sera's ten remaining Flashbangs rocked the realm.
"And I was hoping to do this undetected"
Sera muttered, knowing by now the Shadow Marines would have radioed in. Even if the Volunteers Sera brought where still alive, 500 Shadow Marines would be more than enough to take on all 10,000 of them. Which means the rest of the Shadow Marines would be doing swe-

As Sara and Steed swerved down the Shadow Roads, the Grimdark nature of the Realm seemed to grow darker, if that was possible. Everything around them was in some twisted ephigee to Morik, Shadow, or-Nightshade. Pure Nightshade. Figures the Rogue would paint the deeper parts in the most vialiest of poiso-

A puddle dropped and steamed it's way into the ground. More and more did. Soon, stopped, Steed and Sera were surround by puddles of Nightshade. Liquid Shadow, made from Morik's blood, and boiling on the ground-Correction, forming liquid based shapes on the ground.

Gritting his death, Sera growled

"This does not bode well."

User ImageAs the Shadow Marines came at them and Sera took down the building Steed only sat and watched waiting for his turn to showoff once again. But as Sera ran, Steed followed keeping to his word of watching his back. When Sera stopped at the sight of a black liquid dripping to the ground in front of them, but before long had them completely surrounded and forming into even more creatures.

When the Warped Wisps formed Steed knew standing between the group would be a very bad idea. Crouching down Steed would jump high into the air and grab hold of Sera's cloak as he did so taking both of them out of the path of the tentacles made of nightshade. Shaking his head Steed would toss Sera to the nearby roof knowing that he would land on his feet with no problem.

Flying high above the abominations below him Steed would hold out both of his hands towards them. From his left a stream of water would rush forth towards the creatures. Not strong enough to wash them away, not that water could wash them away, but with just enough force to reach them and the ground between them.

From his other hand came a surge of Golden Lightning. The lightning would surge through the water. As all the water neared the creatures the water would begin to evaporate as it's molecules were separated into hydrogen and oxygen. Then the lightning would spark the hydrogen and cause a massive explosion, hopefully it was enough to take out the creatures. If nothing else maybe the crater caused by the explosion would slow down the Shadow Marines behind them so they would be able to focus on the ones that were sure to be ahead of them.

"I think we should keep moving before more of those Warped Wisps show up."

"I very much agree wit-"
Sera motioned Steed down as he saw something emerge out of the shadows. A big something. Something at least 4 times as big as the buildings around it, and that was when it was hunched over. He very much did not want it to notice both him and Steed. When Sera saw that it was standing in between Morik's Tower, and them, he very much realized that they had to deal with.

Great. Figures he would keep a Warped Nid as a pet. And by the looks of it, a Titon class one. Go figure.

Acting without thought, Sera ripped off his coat and rummaged through the pieces. In speed that only a super human could manage, he pulled out tiny bits and pieces of something. Those bits and pieces of something began to form together as quickly as Sera's super human speed would allow him. Nuts and bolts formed hammers and chambers, sprockets and springs formed barells, loaders, and triggers. In a little under two minutes, Sera was holding a portable Heavy Bolter. He dug his heels into two notches on the roof, and promptly sat down.

The gun was double barreled, with a side loader on the right side for both barrels. They were handholds jutting out on both side, which indicated that it was meant to be used sitting down. Sera well knew that, because you would cleave yourself in two from the recoil if you tried to use it standing up. It was half the length he was, which really wasn't impressive as far as Heavey Bolters went-But this one was more or less portable, and it was very effective. He slowly and carefully began the process of loading the gun, pulling what looked to be like a belt of grenades from his tattered coat.

Heavy Bolters used Bolter Rounds, which were shaped like small grenades, but performed like bullets. If the Bolter Round was Armor piercing, it would be an inaffective weapon. The reason why was simple eonugh: It would go straight through the target and not leave any damage other than a grenade shaped hole in said target. Instead, they were all purposely blunted as much as possible. This made it so that the round would pierce the target, and get caught on a bone or something. At which point, the round would explode from the inside of the target and everything else would be a bloody mess.

Sera slapped the first 10,000 Bolter Rounds in. It was the reason why he was a bit sluggish-Carrying all of those had weighed him down severely. At a rate of 3,000 rounds a minute, Sera knew that he would not be heavily armed for long. Especially since he only had another 500 rounds as back up. Quickly, he braced himself and took aim at the Nid's head, and even quicker, gained the thing's attention.

"Quickly! Think of something!"
He screamed at Steed, although it was mostly pointless. The only thing he could hear was the clink clink clink of his mask against his skull, and that was only due to the reverberation of sound traveling through bone, and not actual hearing. The whole sky was bathed in light as he fired, and with every tenth round being a tracer, there was a stream of light directing the Nid from wear the bolter rounds were being aimed at to Sera.

Can't wait to ask what Dom did. 'O, I got in another fight.' Really? I got to deal with a pissed of Nid Titon...

As the Nid Titon began coming their way through all of the rounds being fired at it staying still and letting Sera handle it himself sounded good, but where would the fun in that be. Steed would pick up his speed as he began to fly towards the Nid circling around the bolter rounds. The shards of his mask were growing in size at an incredible rate. But they weren't only increasing in size, but in mass as well.

As he neared the Nid he would fly away from the bolter rounds and upwards at a diagonal angle that would take him above the Nid. That's when it happened, the moment Steed changed direction he looked like a stealth bomber dropping it's bombs before flying up higher to get away from the blast. His bombs? The still ever growing pieces of metal. Each of the fifty or so shards were now the size of small cars and still growing.

The shards would fly downward and upon impact with the Nid Titon would burst and cover a large area of the Nid before hardening into an almost indestructible metal. The steel that landed on his torso would prove to be no help in stopping it, but the steel that landed on its legs and feet would attach onto the beast and harden stopping it's movement cold.

Flying up high above the Nid Steed would hold his hands up and smirk as more lightning would form above him. Large, golden lettering would form above Steed and the Nid. The lettering read 'FINISH IT!' in all capital letters. The letters would only remain for a moment before flashing downward and striking the Nid adding in even more paralysis.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 21, 2010 10:35 pm

Seeing the Nid as incapacitated as it was, Sera seized his opportunity. Ejecting the last remaining spent rounds, Sera slapped in his emergency 500 rounds. Ten seconds worth of firing, but ten seconds was all he needed. He hoisted the gun up to his waist as he stood up, and began running full bore at the edge of the building. Jumping off, he deftly avoided the spikes on the Nid's body and landed on the things head. Hoisting the Bolter up, he slammed it into things eye, pulled the trigger, hopped on it like a jackhammer, and prepared for the ride of his life.

When his ten seconds where up, Sera jumped and spun off the things head and at the Tower of Shadows. Using the momentum from his spingning, he tossed the now empty, dead weigh Heavy Bolter at Steed. Knowing that his partner was a metal shifter, he figured Steed could think of something to do with the metal from the bolter. Besides, the more pressing matter of a tower made of Hardend Shadow-Substance rapidly was rapidly approaching. He did what he could in that sort of situation-He braced himself for a hard landing.

All of the metal that had held the beast in place would fly in two separate directions. Most of it would fly towards Steel and catch the bolter within it and form a platform beneath his feet as the bolter was assimilated and turned into more steel. The fraction of the steel that didn't go to steel flew at Sera at speeds faster than anyone ever imagined.

The steel formed a wall in front of Sera that when he hit it would give way like rubber, but felt as soft as snow. This would probably puzzle Sera, but Steed was sure he wouldn't mind. Slowly the steel took shape as it became a solid plate like Steed was standing on top of. Slowly and gently the two would land on the ground in front of the Tower of Shadows.

All of the steel would form up in front of Steed and form what seemed to be a drill. The drill would begin spinning at speeds far faster than any normal drill would ever be able to reach. If the drill began to spin any faster than what it was sonic booms would begin to emanate from the drill as it broke the sound barrier.

"You may want to cover your eyes and ears. Sparks are going to start flying and who knows how loud things will get."

When he finished talking Steed began to utter an unholy chant knowing that he may need something ready once inside of the tower. While he continued to chant he would thrust the drill into the door. Sparks flew and the noise was enough that the very realm itself began to shake. With each passing second the drill made it further and further into the door before finally the entire door was gone and the drill was slowing down to a stop before flowing back beneath the feet of Steed just as he finished his chant.

"I can't hold this spell long so why don't we find the throne and get rid of it."

"Well, allow me to say thanks."
He handed his partner a little laser pointer, one about as thick as a rope, but only as big as his thumb. He pulled one out for himself too.
"If truth be told, not all of the volunteers will probably die tonight."
He smirked, and turned his laser pointer on.
"I had asked if any of them knew how to fly, and about 100 stepped forward. I took the ten best, and told them what they had to do. "
With that, he motioned for Steed to shine his laser at the Tower along with Sera.

"Now I would recomend that you shield us some how, unless you want to see a bunker buster bomb up close and personal..."
Smuggly, he smirked as he waited for Steed's reaction. By now, it was too late to run and too late to turn off the laser.

Ha. I win. Let's see you beat that one, partner.

Bunker Buster Bomb.... Those words just seemed to repeat through his mind endlessly and he knew he had to act fast. He planned to one up a massive bomb, and he had the tools to do it all ready. Once again his steel split into two sections, the majority of it formed a dome around Sera taking his laser pointer and holding it on the outside still pointing at the building.

While this happened the small amount that was still below Steed rocketed upwards at a speed greater than the speed of sound. The pressure that was pushing on Steed forced him down to one knee on his steel where he turned on his laser pointer and pushed it through the bottom of the steel to be pointing directly downwards from his platform. The platform would stop once it was higher than the tower and would move above it so that his laser was pointing at the direct center of the tower. Now he would only have to wait until he saw the bomb to act.

As the bomb fell through the building and hit the bottom floor and started it's explosions the steel platform would dissipate leaving Steed flying above the Tower of Shadows his laser pointer falling into the blast. Pointing his palms down at the building Steed would only smirk as he decided to fire a blast of energy that would rip through Sera's bombs explosion.

"DEMON'S BAPTISM!"

As Steed shouted those two simple words as loud as he could so that Sera would be able to hear him even at the base of the tower a ball of pitch black energy formed in front of his hands as the blast came flying upwards at him. The baseball sized orb erupt into a massive beam of chaos energy that was flying down at the already half destroyed tower. The beam was ten meters in diameter which gave it a circumference of seventy eight and a half meters. The beam wasn't big enough to engulf the tower but the resulting explosion when the chaos beam hit the ground would shake the foundation of the realm itself.

The beam would cut through the Bunker Buster Bombs explosion with ease destroying everything it came in contact with. When the beam hit the ground the resulting explosion would not only throw Steed higher into the air but would throw Sera and the steel dome protecting him across the realm. It wasn't a singular explosion that destroyed the tower but a joint effort of the two, but it was done. The Tower of Shadows was obliterated and the Shadow Realm had been freed.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 22, 2010 12:43 am

Light emenated from the tower, a light that sprung forth long after the dust from the blasts had settled. It sprung forth and burned brightly, radiating throughout the whole Shadow Realm. Or what had been the Shadow Realm.

As quick as the blasts had been, the haze of the realm lifted, the eternal shadow's ceased to exist, and shadow beast dissapated as another light shined from above. A type of light that had not been in the realm for over a millenia. Sunlight.

From all across the quaint town, Sera heard cheering. Estatic cheering. They subjects of Morik Draven where finally, absolutely, and totally free. They no longer heard his voice in their ears at all times, no longer felt the cold stairs of his Shadow Marines that patrolled the streets, and no longer where compelled to treat him as a God. They were free. Free at last, and that was all that mattered.

Underneath Sera's mask, he was smiling. He turned towards Steed and just shrugged. Despite the work only being half done, all and all, the had done a great job, and a great service to these people. Truly, this was what salvation was about.

Before walking away from the tower, Sera leaned over and grabbed a handful of Shadow Dust and put it in a small pouch. Shadow Dust from Morik's tower was rare before the events of tonight, but now, it would be nearly impossible to get. Which means that it could be sold for a pretty penny, if one desired, or used in some mighty powerful rituals. Either way, it was always good to have on hand.

On their way out to full fill the second part of freeing the former Shadow Realm, Steed and Sera ran into the Chapter of Shadow Marines that were, up until this point, defending the Shadow Realm.

"Well, now what?"
Sera indignantly muttered. After having spent the whole night freeing the Realms, it was apparent that they could not catch a break.

Until now. One of the men, by the looks of it, one of the Tech-PRiests of the chapter, stepped forward. We wish to thank you for the services you have rendered on our people. For thousands of years, we have lived to protect them. Until Morik showed up and subjected us to be his personal guard. You have done a great service, by freeing everyone here. For that, we shall thank you with not only words, but deeds. Allow us to join you. Name one of you to be our Chapter Leader, and we shall follow you till death and beyond. It is the least we can do for the freeing of our loved ones

Sera shrugged and looked over at Steed. he then left Steed to his own devices, as he walked from Marine to Marine and handed out pouches of a white, semi-solid, grimy substance. One way or another, the Marines would help sped up the process of the Shadow Realms total Salvation: Dimensional Sealing.

By the end of tonight, no one, no matter how strong, would be allowed to enter the Shadow Realm ever again. The exception, of course, being Sera, Dom, Steed, and An. The four leaders of Cruxis-This was done to ensure, that is the Shadow Realms ever needed assistance, it could come.

Those born in their would be welcomed to leave, but even they could not return should they choose to go exploring. The reign of Morik's grimdark shadows was gone, forever and for always. The work of Sera and Steed had ensured that, even if the rest of the world should go to hell, the Shadow Realm would always be the perfect sanctuary for those who lived there.

A new chant became popular among those who witnessed the freeing of the Shadow Realm from the Rogue's Rule.

Salvation has come, for one of these lands-

Shout with glee! The Shadow Realm is free!

Forever and For Always,

As Sera shrugged off the offer from the Shadow Marines Steed would step forward and look at the Tech-Preist that had addressed them.

"Please excuse my partner. It has been a long night but that does not excuse his attitude. I would be honored to take you up on your offer as Chapter Leader."

Giving a low bow his cloak and mask would reappear on him before he stood back up. The metallic clicking sounds could once again be heard as his black armor recceded back to it's dormant form, granted that was hidden by his cloak.

"I am Steed. One of the four leaders of Cruxis. I lead the path of Love."

The Tech-Priest would return the bow to Steed before approaching him with a smile on his face.

"Please come with me. We must prepare for the celebration of our new Chapter Leader. Do not worry about your friend he will be fine."

Steed would only nod to the Tech-Preist before turning to Sera.

"I leave the rest to you partner, and do not worry when the time comes I will be at the Tower when I am needed."

With that he would give Sera a nod and turn around to follow the Tech-Preist so that they could plan and prepare for the celebration.

Devil-Steel
User ImageOni just watched as the beast came after him in a divebomb. He could only laugh as he brought up his arms preparing himself for the upcoming impact. His tail would thrust itself into the ground providing him with a tripod stance to lessen the blow on his two legs alone but Oni wasn't done there with his preparations. The bottom set of two spikes on his back were not just for show but something of extra apendages that were about to come into play. They would thrust down into the ground behind Oni as well providing him with even more stability. Now with his feet firmly planted along with his tail and four spikes thrust deep into the ground he would be able to stay standing from this divebomb technique.

Upon impact a gust of wind would errupt from the two beasts clashing. The ground beneath Oni would cave in and form a crater like a meteor had just struck the ice realm, which is what had happened for the most part. Even with all the force pushing down on him Oni refused to give an inch of leway on this beast. This rapid summon. And once the downward force was all but eliminated Oni would tighten his grip around the waist of the beast as the remaining four spikes came around from his back to trap and crush Deathwing.

"Nishi, Asa return home!"

With such a simple phrase both Nishi and Asa would fade into thin air causing a twisted grin to form on Oni's face. He wasn't going to allow Roy the chance to run, at least not without being pursued sooner this time.

"Gin, Shiro chase down Roy and show him the power you possess!"

Unlike before it seemed that Oni's command had gone unanswered, but the truth would show itself to Roy in only a matter of seconds as the two spirits formed in front of him out of their respective elements. First on the list was Gin who formed out of the ground in front of Roy. It would be obvious that Gin was Oni's Summon Spirit of Earth. And a few feet above Gin would be Shiro who formed out of thin air. Although robotic looking Shiro was far from being a robot. His appearance was for nothing more than looks as Roy would soon find out against the Summon Spirit of Wind. The two would only look at Roy as they began to speak in unison.

"We will not let you pass. Just as our master is dealing with your summon you shall deal with us."

((You and Dante did an excellent job last night. Thank you both. I will reply and talk to you both later on Aim. With that done, this filler part of the fight is over with. It's time to finish things with Oni and Roy. I need to get with Light because he has one more part to do before the filler. As far as I know this is the ONLY part for Oni to complete before filler. And I know all of the members of Cruix have one more gathering, this will end the arc and the new leaders may begin the filler titled "Recruitment". Rather or not Takehitsu takes up the responsibility of running the filler is yet to be determined, but this filler will be no where near as long as the ones in the past. It will be a short one lasting at most maybe a month and a half. This should be enough time for the new recruits to get involved and introduce themselves in the story. Giving both Heaven and Hell enough time to build up their strengths. Spring time comes, the final arc, the grand finale of all the Heaven vs Hell's will begin! The end of the world? Or the way of Salvation? We will all find out. smile ))

To Oni's surprise, Deathwing would seem to slow down, and weaken. After the divebomb, while fighting with Oni the massive dragon was clearly being overpowered but not because of Oni's powers. Because it was dying, it would begin to turn to a washed out color as it's body began to age and fall about til there was nothing but bones and ash hitting the ground. What had happened, the summoning technique used wasn't enough to bring the beast to their world fully powered and not enough to sustain it's lifeforce for very long. Meanwhile Roy would be stopped by the two spirits. He would stand there breathing heavy as he had used up most of Kikyo's power, it didn't help that he didn't have control over her power nor the fact that he almost trapped both Oni and himself in the shadow realm. It had taken out of him, this much fighting was the most Roy had ever done. He didn't even put this much of a fight up with his father. Roy bring his halberd out yet again as he prepare himself. His Halberd would ignite in a raging flame as he would take a slash at both of the spirits.

User ImageAs Deathwing faded away Oni would only shake his head as he began to shift back to his hybrid form. Once again he looked like a tiger covered in scales, but there was one major difference from before. This time he had his dragon wings and tail out.

"Rest easy Deathwing."

With that said Oni would take to the skies and fly towards Roy as fast as his wings would take him. It was time that he and Roy settled this fight once and for all.

As Roy swung his weapon at the two spirits before him they would each move backwards using their respective elements. Then they began their counter assault on Roy. First up was Shiro who would point his gun looking arm at Roy and fired out a baseball sized beam of highly compressed air. If this beam of air made contact with Roy it would act like a high pressured vacuum and would suck in everything in front of it ripping a hole through Roy.

Gin on the other hand was playing the defensive side of the assualt by creating a large stone wall behind Roy. The wall rose up fifty feet high and wasn't just directly behind him, but would also block his escape route on his sides leaving him only one direction to move. Towards the beam flying towards him.

The celebration was over and Steed had a few things weighing on his mind that he needed to take care of. The first was making sure that Blood didn't screw up his mission, and the second was finding both a Chaplain and a Librarian for his new realm. That's when a thought crossed his mind and a twisted smile formed on his face, although hidden by his mask which was a good thing. He didn't need his people thinking that he was anything like Morik.

"Thank you for everything. I will return, and when I do I will have a Chaplain. I don't know how long it will take until I find the Librarian but I shall find one."

With that said Steed would leave the Steel Realm and appear in a dense forest on Earth. He would erect one of the barriers that only Cruxis members could pass through. Yes the soul spring took a hit by doing so, but it needed to be done to ensure that he wasn't interrupted in his conversation with his old friend.

Sitting down on a tree stump Steed would pull out the the black marble that Blood had given him in their last encounter and just stare at it for a few minutes blinking occasionally.

"Of course he would give me something like this and forget the instructions. DAMNIT BLOOD!"

Letting out a long sigh Steed would continue to stare at the black marble not blinking anymore as he seemed to fall into a trance.

"Desolation...."

The icy winds were whipping at the corners of his cloak as Blood just stared across the arctic waste strewn out before him, nothing exciting had happened since his departure from his makeshift home. Suddenly an irritating buzzing began ringing in the back of his head, "I knew it wouldn't be long..."

Rolling his eyes he crossed his arms over his chest to ward off the cold as he slipped into a mentally induced slumber. He awakened in a circular room with nothing but a golden orb floating in the middle to shed some light to the shadows. He looked around for the one who summoned him and noticed a familiar figure standing half asleep in the corner. Snapping his fingers to shy away the drowsiness he addressed the man in a gruff voice,

"So...what brings you to my corner of the world?"
