Holy oasis batman

No 15/9wheaters though sad
It looks like there is some competition in the area but we might be able to snag this first.

(-152|-156)

We can plan the other cities near the oasis goldmine.

Just let me know. I can plant a new village in thirty minutes.

I'd also like to point out the oasis near that spot as well. However, we would have to move, then fund that village like mad to get those oasis before the neighbors do. But we could do it. I really like this spot. If Ellie can't get there fast enough to grab the 15 wheater, I can jump on it ASAP and will eventually make it my capital to max out the fields. But we do need a decision. I don't like holding on to 3 settlers, waiting for someone to stop by.

And, we could still raid.

Rising Pheonix's Granary is now back to L19. The Main Building was rebuilt to L1 to permit the Granary's replacement.

All of my resources will now be shunted to Resplendant Firebird, my capital over in +/+; Rising's fields are all maxed which should provide a solid (if slow) feed to the capital. Given Belrias' belligerence, I'm hesitant to continue development of Firebird Rising... it's also within fast strike distance of his capital. All of FireRis' resources will also be shunted to Resplendant.

The Palace in Resplendant will hit L9 around 9:00 PM Eastern. One more level and I get settlers. My intent is to push it to L15 and plant 2 villages... I've got enough Culture points to do so. I'm going to plant one village in whatever locale is decided on, and one village as far away from everything non-HME as I can.

By tomorrow morning I should be building Settlers. Have we picked a spot for the PowerCluster yet?

This is somewhat out of the way, and in a different quadrant, but before our more recent events happened I was looking at setting up base in this area:

My vote is for this area. There are a lot of oases with little/no competition in the area all around it, and we would still be within easy march of all those little new villages without being too far from the larger ones, where everything is happening. It will be a few more days before I can settle again, but I think I would like a spot there.

I'm tossing a village down in the area I mentioned before, since I really hate sitting around with settlers as easy prey. If we decide on another spot, I can start working on more and move accordingly. But, either way, I know I want to be in that area.

Yey us!!!! heart biggrin

EDIT: I did not take the 15 wheater. I figured if anyone should have that spot, it should be Ellie or someone more capable than myself.

I'm up for that. I'd like both the 6-clay fields right next to you, if nobody minds. I'll be able to start building settlers probably day after tomorrow on that, as well. I've got a palace going to 13 right now, and a residence getting up to 8. tomorrow night I may get up to 15/10 on those, and should be able to get some settlers in before friday.

I'll also defer the 15-wheater it favour of someone who can not only mass a huge offensive army, but has the mind to use it. I have my 15-wheater and 9-wheater over in my first sector, so I would probably do better filling a different role in the new compacted HME headquarters. Though I will still eventually want put a new village beside my 15-wheater to help protect it, and develop the stronghold we have growing in that area.

Can we PLEASE stop inviting useless scrubs? I'm getting really sick and tired of seeing new people invited to the guild that have a pop less then 50.
I agree. We are getting to the point where really new villages will have difficulty being anything more than a farm before the end of the game. Of course, exceptions for special people. smile
Also, maybe we can give a refresher course for our smaller villages on how to grow and not be a farm? Amoshi was farmed earlier today, and I had another new member mention he was going to raise his heroes mansion, palace, and get his stables up before he raised his fields to level two. I adviced him of the value of raising his fields (and crannies) early on, but I wonder for some of the other small players too.

Amoshi's a good friend of mine, and a veteran of quite a few strategy games.
Once he's got his head wrapped around Travian, he should be growing pretty quickly.

I had a word with the guy that farmed him, and it was just the typical welcome to the end of n00b protection attack. He didn't guarantee he wouldn't attack again, but so long as Amo doesn't become inactive and remains unprofitable, he's got nothing to worry about.

Another good spot would be (300|50). It's fairly close to the Y axis, but out far enough that the area is wide open. Decent amount of oases for the area. I've only checked that gridblock, but there's a 9 Wheat valley at (299|49), and a 15 Wheat valley at (297|40).

Sorry to keep suggesting sites so far out, but I'm tired of asshats like Belrias and want to be able to develop without worrying when someone's gonna drop 2000+ troops on my neck.

Arcadian over in the Travian Alliance Forum
Cabbit has sent settlers to 352|46. I've sent settlers to 351|47.

Just in case the s**t hits the fan, we'll still have somewhere to go.

Already got my next city planned out as a support for my two 9c and my 15c, but getting a settlement there is next on my list for expansion.

Meaning likely a week and a half will see me there.

There went Seph.

Shortly after 9am, several waves of attacks hit his capitol, utterly destroying his marketplace, granary and wheat fields.

Time to continue fortifying my defenses, as if he turns his gaze far enough east i'll be one of the next targets.

Mmmm.

Seph gone, no further planned attacks from Belrias....seems that the threat level has downgraded somewhat.

Guess I won't be needing a couple thousand spearmen afterall... lol
