Maerad was sleepy, as it was getting late, but she just wanted to go to the party. All students were encouraged to attend, but she had spent most of the night practicing on her harp. She slithered down to the party, the loud music making her wince and cover her ears. The Naga was used to something more traditional, and the rolling mass of bodies that made up the dance floor made her feel somewhat sick. The young girl wondered if she'd ever want to make up a part of that mass.
Her eyes scanned over prize tables, games, and people socializing for a while before she realized her curiosity was sated. Maerad was mildly disappointed that she had come all the way down here and found nothing she had liked. She let out a little sigh, holding her plush close to her chest, and feeling utterly  isolated. It had been hard enough to connect to others since she came to school, but when the young Nightmare attended a social event to feel anything but social, it made her feel more pushed to the edge. She should have asked someone to come with her at the end of classes today, or something.
Just when she turned to leave, though, she felt a little nudge at the tip of her tail, and then a soft rubbing. Appalled, Maerad turned, only to see a little red vespercat purring up against her side, narrowing its eyes at her. "I don't have any treats," she told it softly, as it came closer and swished its tail at the hem of her sweater. The Naga hesitated, then reached down with a gentle hand and pet it behind the ears. "Would you... like to come home with me?" she asked gently, leaning down a bit closer to the vespercat. Maerad knew she was technically allowed to have pets in her dorm, and one from an event would surely be allowed.
The familiar didn't respond to her question, of course, but it followed her as she began to leave the hall. Perhaps it wasn't such a bad idea to come to this party, after all.

Jeanette had already been in bed for about an hour, but when she felt her stomach grumble she knew it was time to go to the party. When she padded in on her small feet, the party was already winding down, fellow students gathering up their prizes and leaving. Some of them had come with friends. Jeanette had willingly chosen to stay in her dorm, feeling tired after a long day, but the fact that people were leaving made her worry about the availability of food.
She toddled up to a food booth, and she was almost too short to see the vendor. Placing her paws on the counter, the Neko used them to leverage herself onto her tiptoes. The vendor noticed her after a few moments, and broke into a warm smile. Anything I can get you, sweetie? they asked.
"Do you have any chocolate left?" Jeanette responded, almost mewling out her answer. The vendor searched around behind the counter, and returned with a small package.
Just a few chocolate covered strawberries left! Hope you enjoy, and Happy Hunter's Jubilee, the older student said with a wink, handing Jeanette her own little prize. It wasn't themed or perfect or anything, but she was glad she had come down here. As she popped a treat into her mouth, her face glowed with delight. It was the perfect midnight snack.

 'Lilah played one last game, and won the final Fennekit plush of this year's series, before she left.Claiming 13 RP points and 1 Teal Fennekit Plush. Kama noticed a lonely looking purple vespercat sitting in a corner. He walked over and knelt besides it. He held out his fingers, and it calmly walked over, and nuzzled him. He pet it for a bit, then stood, and it followed him as he headed to leave the festival.Claiming 5 RP points and a Purple Vespercat. Lazarus blushed brightly at her pecking his cheek, giving a nod to her asking about fireworks. She had kissed his cheek! She had actually kissed his cheek!!! All words were nonexistent now, only the feeling of immense joy he felt boiling inside his heart. There was no doubt in his heart now that she really did like him back, and there truly was no other feeling as amazing as this. From this day forward, he would make sure Odessa felt like the most important and special person to him, because she was.
