Cassandra chuckled softly and nodded as she walked with Lorcan. A small smile spread across her face as she watched Merrick take off, somersaulting and then landing lightly on his feet. It always surprised her just how fast and graceful he could be. "Whenever we come across Damon again, he wont survive long." She said softly. Constance heard Merrick's voice in her head and as she glanced over at him he took off after speaking out loud. She watched him with a grin, her head tilted to the side slightly. "Hmm, show off," she laughed as she followed after him, landing silently next to him. She gave him a slight nudge. "Well it seems to run in the family," Carolyn said with a small laugh as she followed after Kasumi. She pushed a stray strand of hair from her face as she looked around at everyone else.

Lorcán tilted his head with a slight shrug a he walked down the stairs.

Merrick chuckled as Constance landed, sitting casually on a stool with one hand lightly draped over his shoulder. "Cute, though it seems you have a bit of a playful streak in you yourself, Kitsu-tenshi," he said with amusement.

Kasumi shrugged as she half sat on the curving banister. "What do you expect? We're Kitsune, we have to be playful and pranksters," she said with amusement as she let herself slide down the banister to the floor, though she found the position that Merrick and Constance were in rather comical. She knew that Carolyn knew very well how playful she could be, especially in private.

Constance tilted her head slightly as she grinned at Merrick. "I've always had a playful side. Just hasn't had a chance to come out much until recently." Her hand ran lightly over his shoulder as they waited for the others. Carolyn watched as Kasumi slid down the banister and chuckled, shaking her head. She finally made it down the stairs and stood next to Kasumi, running her fingers lightly down her arm. "And I love that you're so playful." Her eyes twinkled and grinned. Amelia walked down the stairs slowly, Nala slightly ahead of her. She could feel Merida's presence right behind her. Absentmindedly she brushed some hair from her face.

Lorcán tilted his head as he pushed off the banister, somersaulting before landing a few feet in front of Merrick, his gaze flickering around as if he were dizzy before his hand flicked up, catching a kunai knife by the hilt a few inches from his head as he glanced at the 'Lynx' masked woman with navy-indigo hair that hung halfway down her back where she slid out of the shadows.

Merrick tilted his head. "I wonder what did that," he observed blandly, his armored hand flicking up as a kunai hit it and shattered on impact, making him flex his hand..

Lynx cocked her head, her head shifting slightly where the unknown ninja leaned against the wall near the door. "Seems they are more skilled than you assumed, nii-chan," she said in a low melodic voice. The unknown ninja, apparently either her brother or cousin, twitched as if annoyed.

Kasumi winked with amusement. "You weren't saying that... or frankly much else, last night," she said with a teasing tone. "Fortunately it seems like we may have a few more 'allies', if Lynx over there is related to whom I suspect," she said blandly. She was almost certain who it was, and if she was, then she was related not only to her and Merrick, but also Naruto.

Cassandra rolled her eyes a little and chuckled softly as she followed at her own pace after Lorcan. She knew that the others were showing off a little bit, but she was content to just walk down normally. Her gaze went to the Lynx masked woman as the kunai were blocked by both Merrick and Lorcan. She gave a little sigh and shook her head as she stopped next to Lorcan. Constance looked between the two ninjas, her head tilted to the side slightly. She wondered if they were related and in what sense. She gave her shoulders a little shrug. "Hmm, I didn't think I need to," Carolyn said with a low chuckle. "I thought my actions were good enough." She smirked at the other woman. "Well this is all very fun," Merida said softly as she and Amelia reached the bottom of the stairs. "Hmm, most interesting," Amelia said with a nod.

Lorcán shifted his weight as he stood, recognizing the language as a dialect of Japanese. "Seems they are cousins, from what I can see," he murmured.

Merrick cocked his head slightly, his gaze shifting slightly as a low crackling sound.

Lynx tilted her head with a slight crackling sound before she frowned as several blank masked ninjas charged into the room, backhanding her cousin aside harshly and sending him over the counter-bar. She grimaced behind her mask, not liking the fact that their auras seemed to flicker between a deep violet and the usual 'human' pale blue. It was obvious they weren't loyal to the head of the village unlike her.

Kasumi snickered. "Oh, they were, trust me, not to mention they were quite 'fun'," she said before she frowned, seeing the new ninjas who were obviously not friendly. She snorted, catching a foul whiff of demonic energy and realized whoever had altered these ninjas had also tainted them into mindless hanyou. "Seems Damon has a contact, if not one of his surviving 'generals', here," she transmitted to all of them. She wasn't all that surprised to see Merrick grin with a look that reminded her of Naruto when someone pissed him off by using one of their friends as a pawn.

"You have got to be kidding me," Merida growled as her eyes narrowed at the ninjas who had come charging into the room. Her head tilted to the side as she heard Kasumi's assumption. "Well then it really sucks to be these guys," she said as flames surrounded her hands. "I am getting tired of being attacked every two damn minutes.""I am inclined to agree with Merida," Cassandra said with a nod as a small spark of lightening flickered up and down her right arm. "This is getting quite old. You would think he would learn already."Nala darted forward, growling and hissing at the ninjas. Her tail slashed from side to side as her hair stood up on end. For the moment the ninjas didn't seem to know what to do about the feline in front of them. "Well why don't we get this finished, yes?" Amelia sighed as she stepped forward.

Lorcán drew and flicked his kusari-gama in one fluid movement before he frowned as one of the ninjas twisted and caught the chain. "Hadō Jūichi - Tsuzuri Raiden," he murmured as a surge of electrical energy shot down the chain, crackling around the ninja and paralyzing him.

Merrick rolled his eyes. "You think a demon as desperate for a woman as him is really thinking with his large head?" he said with a deadpan tone. He deflected a couple of shuriken aimed at him, drawing the nodaichi. He shot forward low to the ground, the nodaichi flickering with golden amber flames where it rested over his shoulders before he kicked a kunai out of the air, snatching it out of the air before he twisted, hurling it at a hanyo-nin that had been about to stomp on Nala, hitting him in a place NO male wanted to be hit. Simultaneously, he kicked the one directly in front of him with a straight vertical kick that sent the half demon high into the air.

Lynx was using her own family style, a blend of Tai Chi and Akido, against the strange ninjas. She paused momentarily, seeming interested in Merrick's actions before she kept moving, evading several shuriken before she sent one of the ninjas flying through the window with a crash as she released a chakra burst that acted much like a cannonball upon impact with the man's chest as it sent him flying backwards hard.

Kasumi winked as she drew her katana, deflecting attacks at high speed with a startling fluidity and speed that seemed more like flowing water than physical muscle. She glanced at Lynx, recognizing the fighting style she was using immediately. So she is, she thought.

Amelia moved forward swiftly, her steps in perfect sync with Nala's movements. She ducked underneath a swing from one of the ninja's, lashing out at his leg with her foot and taking him down. As he fell on his back with a loud thump the ground crackled underneath him. The floor surrounded him, keeping him pinned down so he wouldn't be able to move. Merida stalked forward, moving her head from side to side as a ninja ran her way. She smirked at him and rolled her shoulders. When he was mere feet in front of her she lashed out with her hands sending flames into his face. He fell back with a started scream, trying to protect his face. The fire wasn't meant to hurt, just to distract him. Merida darted forward quickly, kicking the ninja just behind the knee. She heard the snap of bone as he went down. Constance moved her hand swiftly, sending a ninja slamming into a wall with a gust of wind. He had been ready to cut down Merrick while he was distracted by another of the ninjas. "I don't think so," she muttered as she swung her hand again and he flew into another wall. Cassandra pulled out her bow, fitting an arrow into it. She stayed back, keeping her eyes trained on the enemy. She had to be careful not to hit anyone of her own party. A ninja was closing in fast behind Lorcan and Cassandra's eyes narrowed. She let the arrow fly, electricity flowing all around it. It struck the ninja in the shoulder, sending him crashing to the floor, withering in agony.

Lorcán jerked the chain taut suddenly and wasn't surprised when the ninja stumbled before jerking it back, apparently aiming to reel him in. Lorcan, however, shot forward as if fired from a cannon, driving both feet with a loud snapping crunch into the man's chest, sending him rolling backwards with a crushed chest.

Merrick shifted his weight suddenly, the nodaichi flashing past Constance in a blazing arc. A headless body fell behind Constance, the head rolling almost to Merrick's feet

Lynx lightly tapped one ninja's chest, sending him to the ground in convulsions before he went still and limp; his heart had exploded in his chest.

Kasumi cocked her head slightly as she shifted her weight, deflecting two katanas and a kunai in one fluid movement as she left a deep gash running from sternum to collarbone on one ninja and left the sword arm useless on the other in one fluid strike. "Gonna have to do better than that boys... not that you'll have a chance to regret it," she said as she inhaled before exhaling a blast of white hot flames that incinerated the duo into little more than scorched armor and bones. She coughed for a moment, tendrils of smoke trailing from the corners of her lips. "That blast is killer on my throat," she muttered, her voice slightly gruff and hoarse.

Constance stepped to the side as the ninja's head rolled past her, stopping close to Merrick's feet. "Thanks," she said with a grin as she spun around, a blast of water hitting a ninja and freezing him to the spot. Her head tilted to the side and beneath the ice she knew that the ninja's blood and frozen as well. She moved forward and lashed forward with her foot, pushing him over. He shattered into pieces. "Holy crap..."Merida turned to see one of the ninjas going to where they had knocked the other ninja over the counter. She hadn't seen the man resurface, so she figured they may have knocked them out. "Oh no you don't," she said as she stepped up behind the ninja. As he turned to face her she rested her fiery hands on his chest, sending the potent stream into his chest. He began to scream, smoke pouring from his ears and mouth. Soon he was burned to a pile of ash. Merida shuddered as she leaned against the counter slightly. She took a deep breath, standing up straight despite the wave of dizziness that went through her. "Hmm, makes you sound kinda sexy," Carolyn said with a slight grin as she swept past Kasumi, ramming a katana through the chest of another ninja.

Lorcán panted softly, his gaze shifting around cautiously before he blinked, seeing Merrick leaping towards Kasumi from behind.

Merrick shifted his weight, instinctively dashing forward towards another ninja rearing back his katana at both Carolyn and his mother's backs.

Lynx cocked her head cautiously, her gaze locking onto Merrick though her eyes widened behind the mask when his form dissolved into dull smoke before phasing through and around the final ninja, who dropped his sword in surprise where it impaled itself in the floor with a crack.

Kasumi shrugged, not sure how to respond when she heard a crack behind her and saw Merrick next to her as she glanced back to see a stunned hanyo-nin. She saw Merrick shift and exhale facing him and saw what seemed to be heated air escape, though to her surprise the ninja's skin started sizzling and burning away. "He seems to instinctively know how to meld his affinities into a rare talent known as Futton, known for its acidic mist or fog," she murmured, unconsciously transmitting it to Carolyn.

"Now that is very interesting," Carolyn said softly as she watched as the ninja's skin began to burn away. She had not seen anyone do what Merrick had just done. It was definitely something very intriguing. Amelia walked over to where Merida stood. "You should be careful with that," she said softly as she stopped next to the other witch. "It is not an easy power to control, and it takes a lot of your energy from you. You will wear yourself down if you do not allow your body the time it needs to recuperate." Merida sighed as she glanced over at Amelia. "Yes, I know that." She gave a small shrug. "It's kind of instinctive now. It gets rid of them quickly when there are too many."Cassandra let out a soft sigh of relief as she moved to Lorcan's side. "That was over quickly thank goodness."

Lorcán tilted his head as he walked towards Kasumi. "It's interesting, but I've never seen anything like what Merrick just did; I noticed some ripples of what seemed to be water, flickers of flame, and the wind itself moving through whatever attack he just used," he said quietly with some surprise to Cassandra.

Merrick straightened, cocking his head as the man's muscles dissolved, followed shortly by his bones. Interesting, he thought.

Lynx cocked her head, well aware that the technique the gauntleted fighter had just used was one that was known to the current Mizukage, who had inherited it from one of her ancestors several generations back.

Kasumi tilted his head. "Indeed; different talents for different affinities can create secondary affinities, like that," she said, tilting her head towards Constance; she had noticed that the girl's natural affinity for water and wind had merged into the secondary element of ice, very uncommon to rare in the area where they were. She cocked her head at Merida's words, noticing faint arcs of electricity flickering over the elder witch's skin. "There may be a way you can learn to do something similar to that with less energy with your affinities," she said with a small smirk.

"Neither have I," Cassandra said with a shake of her head as she followed Lorcan over to the others. "That is strange," Constance muttered as she stood by Merrick's side, watching the man dissolve. When he was gone she looked up at everyone else. She was glad to see everyone okay. Although Merida looked like she was a little out of breath and shaky. Merida looked over at Kasumi and smiled a little, nodding her head. "Good. I will be glad to learn it." She pushed her hair behind her ears, taking another deep breath. Amelia gave a small tilt of her head and the ninja she had trapped with the floor gave one last shuddering breath as the wood crushed him. It folded over, burying him underneath the floor before it went back to normal.
