"Hmmm." He thought. He rose, the tea gone. He rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Wolves would only run if their leader died, they are pack animals. I doubt they will return, unless one or two are haphazardly Beta." He looked around the clearing. "But a bear may actually come with the blood all around, not to mention mountain lions and the like. I say we should at least take the Valteran with us. She can do as she pleases."

Issildia looked down, "You're to bloody kind-hearted Archer....it's going to get you killed someday." she muttered just loud enough for him to hear.
As she said this Sylph removed her mahogany colored cloak and set it over the unconscious Valtera. All the while weighing her options...it was some time before she spoke.
"I want to came as well...even if it's only as far a Meradea." she said knowing well that Issildia was fuming from her decision.

Archer smiled lightly at Issildia. "But kindness leads to the gates of Silmataurea,"He whispered. but, at hearing Sylph's comment. "What? But you're a woman, and you don't fight! Knives can be used by street urchins, so they dont count!"

Issildia only arched an eyebrow at the mention of Silmataurea the place that those of Anier had believed to be the utopia of the afterlife.
But her expression hardened at his comment targeted at Sylph.
"Being a woman should not define one as being useless in battle Archer." said Issildia sharply.
"And unless you want to test that theory against me then I advise that you simply go with the fact that the Lady Zitara here, simply has no fighting experience ,nor is she accustomed to travel."
Sylph looked at Issildia with an expression of subdued rage but left it to them as to if she should be allowed to come.

Khastur had walked away from the group, leaving them to their squabble-
he swung his sword along on branches, clearing a path towards the nose he heard earlier; he was moving faster now, practically sprinting as he hacked his way through foliage. Suddenly Khastur felt a searing hot pain rip through the flesh of his left leg, looking down he saw a wolf; and upon falling to the ground saw five more. Khastur kicked the wolf that bit him in the jaw, sending him sprawling. Khastur managed to make it to his knees, and brought up his sword ready for a fight.
But the wolves had stopped moving, except for one-- one with rich silver fur and eyes cloudy and raging like a storm. The wolf looked at Khastur, his eyes piercing like arrows. "The one in gray...Do these eyes decieve?" came a slow raspy voice. "Who are you?" spat Khastur tightening the grip on his sword. "You do not... remember me?" Khastur shook his head "I see sadness in your eyes...I must have been important to you, though I can't imagine why. But I apoligize, I lost my memories some time ago dear beast." The wolves ears came up again "You may call me Flaus-- it was the name you gave me." The wolf shrunk back in embarrassment. "You raised me, when you lived with the blacksmith..Oh, I wish you could remember..." Khastur sat down and pet the wolf's head "I remember those eyes..In a dream I remember seeing them, coming at me in the dark.."
Flaus looked up to Khastur "You have come back, one of gray-- but why? You have been gone so long, a return must have been brought by something important." Khastur nodded, "Yes, I am here to find the blacksmith Marley, I need him to make me a sword-- I need to kill someone." Flaus backed up slightly, afraid "You have taken life, Khastur?" Khastur sighed "I cannot imagine me ever being a pacifist, I'm sorry if it seems I have changed so...But yes, there is black blood on my hands-- and I must dip them one last time in that fountain before I can wash my hands clean.." Flaus licked Khastur's left hand "If you must, I know you would have good reason...I can take you to Marley, but be warned-- he has changed as well.."
Khastur nodded, "Thank you Flaus, I will call my party, I have not gone this trek alone." Khastur whistled loud and shouted "Archer! Streak! Issildia!"

Issildia heard Khastur's shout and glanced back at Sylph, Archer, and the wounded Valtera. "Wait here if you would, I will be back in a moment." Issildia stated with utter calmness as she departed from the immediate area on foot.
It was a number of minutes before she came upon Khastur as well as what seemed to be a pack of wolves. There was a hiss of steel as Issildia began to draw her weapon but she ceased in this movement upon realizing that the creatures had yet to attack Khastur.
"Khastur...what is going on." she asked carefully, as not to anger the beasts into attacking.

"This wolf here, Flaus, knows the way to Marley's cabin-- and will help us." Flaus bent her head low to Issildia. Khastur put away his sword, and motioned Issildia to do the same. "Excuse me for leaving earlier, but-- what exactly was going on back there? Where are the others?"

Issildia allowed her blade to slide back into the sheath as Khastur explained the situation, she merely nodded at his words.
"Good, we could use a guide." she said tiredly while inclining her head at the wolf in a gesture of respect.
"But as to what happened," Issildia added a moment later, "A turncoat of Keirdon entered the forest and we came up on her during the storm. She was attacked by wolves after we sent her onwards..." Issildia said suspiciously while looked at the creatures gathered there, but she continued on nonetheless.
"And a valtera intervened and rescued her, he is unconcious presently...anyway, when I departed to find you we were debating as to if we should allow her to accompany us to at least Meradea."
Issildia then looked at him darkly, the tone of her next words implied the seriousness of the situation.
"The woman's name is Sylph Zitara...she was a member of Keirdon's high council before she turned coward and ran when my father's army arrived at Faltora's gates. She is actually one of the council members that wished to deny aid to Anier...so I'm sure you can guess my opinion on the matter Khastur." she said gravely.
"But after you meet her you can decide for yourself...Shall we go?" she asked, glancing briefly at the wolf Flaus then returning her gaze to Khastur.

Khastur nodded, and followed Issildia to the rest of the group; his eyes instantly meeting with Sylph. "I certainly can guess your opinion-- and Archer's...I say we leave her to the wolves.." Flaus laughed, "She is a coward Khastur, I would not let my pups feast on yellow blood.." Khastur shrugged, "It doesn't like she could do much now-- I guess we may as well take her, she will get her just desserts."

Sylph looked at Khastur with a sour expression at his first comment, a similar expression was wrought at the words of the wolf.
But unlike her previous conversations with Archer or Issildia, Sylph choose to remain silent as she turned her bitter gaze from them to the still unconscious valtera at her feet.
As she did so Issildia looked at the valtera's still form, "This is the one that intervened when she was attacked, we should at least get him to Meradea, or keep him with us until he has regained enough strength to survive on his own." she stated flatly.

Khastur stood arms akimbo, looking at the Valtera's crumpled form, catching out the corner of his eye Flaus snarl for a quick flash. "Whatever we do, we have to get moving-- we have the way to Marley; and once we have gotten our new weapons we will be one step closer to killing your father, Luin, and Adenia; and this whold mess can be over with."

Friends stop friends from doing foolish things. And if you want I'll go have a chat with the a** that got you kicked off Gaia for those few days. I take quite a bit of pleasure in dealing with people like that.

Issildia only nodded and turned as if to leave, "I'll go get the horses so we can get moving." Issildia then stepped back into the surrounding forest, disappearing for a number of minutes before returning with the lead ropes of the two desert horses in her hand and the two steeds following behind. "I suppose someone will need to ride with the valtera." she said while looked at Sylph with a sarcastic expression, obviously implying that she would be riding with him. Sylph clambered to her feet, still favoring the leg that had been nipped by the wolves from earlier and mounted the first of the horses, sitting as to make room for the valtera to sit in front of her as they rode. "Here, can you help me get him up Khastur." said Issildia as she went over to the valtera.
