Oh? Ashili said, laughing as she was quite surprised by his reaction. What might that be, providing you were interested in something else? she asked, interested in what he potentially had in mind.

Sneering, he dipped his head into where he could fee her breath, letting his eyes flutter closed. They weren't any use in this particular situation. "MAyeb something you can give me, maybe something I' rather take maybe neither, I don't know yet. Just ... don't ... push me."

Ashili lowered her voice as she felt him quite close. I'm not pushing, Lucius, she said lowly, but politely. She decided to wait for him to make a move, lest she annoy him, or better yet, anger him.

His eyes snapped open, boring into her for a long, long moment, before he leered suddenly, and swept an arm around her waist and then ... pushing her down. "Don't play games with me. I don't know why you wanted to come with me, but I'm tired of feeling that little string you've got around my wrist."

I'm... not doing anything, Ashili said, swallowing as she pushed her slight uncomfortable feeling aside. I have no string around your wrist, and I am playing no games... she said. What... is going on? she wondered, confused, and a bit worried.

He sneered down at her sliding his hands into his pockets, spilling his words out coldly, "You were thinking something coming out here, but I don't know what. Something you didn't want me to know about." He grinned slightly manically, tapping his temple with one index finger. "I can feel it. I'm not as ******** stupid as everyone thinks I am."

I don't think you're stupid, Ashili said, half-hissing, but not angrily. I wasn't thinking anything, quite honestly. Maybe I'm stupider than everyone thinks I am, she commented cooly, still gazing up at him, wondering why he was acting so paranoid.

He rolled his eyes in contempt, snapping, "I don't want to hear it. I don't believe anyone who doesn't think they have potential. It's nonsense. Women who say they're dumb, or they're fat, or they're ugly, they're trying to get attention, that's all. It makes them victims and weak like that pitiful creature." He pointed to the heap of misused flesh in the grass and made a sound of incredulity and swiped a bloody palm through his hair, staining the green with red. "Fine then, if you weren't eager to come with me for any reason, it won't make any difference if I go."

Ashili sat up, narrowing her eyes at him. What makes you think I'm questioning my potential? I know who I am, and I'm everything I want to be, and tough luck to whoever doesn't like that, she said before rolling onto her knees, coming to a stand. She brushed off her delicate kimono before speaking once more. Maybe you're right to question why I came with you... It's because I care for you. And don't question that.

Luc's eyes narrowed in utter cold contempt, after staring at her, blankly for a moment. He stalked forward again, gripping her face in one hand, "That is a sick, twisted, black little lie that people tell themselves to make them feel better. Caring is an illusion. In the end, I don't need you to care about me, so it doesn't matter whether you do or not."

Don't mess with me, Ashili hissed, knocking him backwards against the tree with her mind. I don't give a ******** if you need me to care for you or not, it unfortunately is a sick, twisted, black little UNFORTUNATE trait that I tend to carry, she spat, turning her head, hurt and upset. She started to walk towards the cemetary gates.

It was suddenly as if someone had dangled the proverbial ribbon in front of a cat. Lucius was in front of her again, edging her back against a tree, a wild, but benignly curious look on his face. "Why? For ******** sake, why? I'm not your blood, and I've given you no reason whatsoever to think I'm good, or good enough to waste your time on. So for god's sakes, woman WHY?"

I don't know!!! Ashili cried, feeling defeated, upset, and confused. Her heart was racing, her vision becoming spotted. I... don't know... she repeated, her intense gaze falling to the cold floor as she grasped for the tree. Lucius... she whispered, rather pathetically, as she fell against him instead, her fingers gripping at his clothing.

He groaned, catching her and rolling his eyes, irritatedly, "Oh, for God's sake, woman what is it now?" He held her up nonetheless, sneering as though she'd puked on his shoes.

Ashili began shuddering violently, her skin paling more than it was usually, if possible. She gasped for breath, her eyes falling shut as she pressed her black lips together tightly. As if he predicted with his sneering, she leaned forward more, vomitting on the grass in front of him.
