`~also shrugs~` Yeah, I suppose. You know, I've been with this role play longer than I've been at my current (but ending) job. Today's my last day and I started at my new job last week. Last weekend was soooo hectic, I had to be up at 6 am, then to work at 8 am, done at 2 pm and at my next job by 3 pm... It sucked...

This sucks. Every time I type an angry rant I feel bad about how angry I am and can't be angry anymore. My anger is justified, dammit!
I'm going to play my version of Match, and if anyone decides they want to play the canon Match I expect you to tell them no, because I'm already playing Match, even if it is my version. No one would even know this character existed if I hadn't decided I wanted to play him. Absolutely everyone has had to look him up, and absolutely everyone has been surprised that I DIDN'T just make him up!
It's ridiculous that I've had to say this in so many different ways, and I'm done. Match is a canon character, and Match is my character too. This rp is all about playing characters the way we want them. I found a character I like and he's going to be how I'd like him to be.

I've argued with walls better than this... and Slag, your Bane is totally different from this situation, but forget it, I've got DotM on Xbox Live, I'm going to chill and leave this pointless argument with a resounding

This was not an argument. This was you banging your head against a wall. You've tried to bash your way through a wall of sound logic over and over, and now you're trying to drag your shattered opinions away with some semblance of style while flipping me off and calling it your victory.
I never needed to prove anything to you, this wasn't a debate. I was humoring you by making an attempt to explain the character. Now I realize I have wasted my time. You really weren't making an earnest attempt at understanding him, you just wanted to d**k around with me.
:: This whole thing started because I plan on having Match make the crossover from Young Justice into the DCU rp.

No hun, the argument started as "we already have a Superboy" Stray pointed out that I was wrong and proved his point, Match isn't Superboy. However when I brought up the point from research that Match was Bizarro Superboy, Stray bugged out.
I said Bizarro Superboy, Stray countered with bowling shoes.

I tried explaining to you that calling him Bizarro Superboy is wrong. If he were Bizarro Superboy he would be CALLED Bizarro Superboy. This is what you're not getting. MATCH IS NOT BIZARRO SUPERBOY! This is Bizarro Superboy. Look at him very closely and realize this is NOT Match. This is a completely different character. The latest Match in the DC continuity was only superficially like a Bizarro, and was only made to be that way some time after his initial introduction. Match was never actually a Bizarro. Do you get it?

Soooo much for not bickering...
So I'm gonna have Jericho either go to Baskin robins and run into Kara or have her run into Raven....

>< And here we are, yet again. Both of you stopped reading after the phrase 'bickering like children' and ignored the rest. Now stop arguing over whether or not this is an argument and LISTEN.
If you two are going to have this conversation about a YOUNG JUSTICE CHARACTER, please take it to the YOUNG JUSTICE CHAT. If you do not wish to do so, then the discussion ends here.

Ok, Eric? Just now, in that entire post I just made, not once was I referring to my version of the character. You're acting like the canon Match is Bizarro Superboy when what I'm telling you is that you're completely wrong in every way. I'm referring to the canon Match right now, the one you just linked to; he is not and never was Bizarro Superboy. The two characters are not the same and they never were. I'm trying to take this back to the very core because the entire foundation of your viewpoint is based on incorrect information. My character, my version of Match, is based on the canon Match. The canon Match is not Bizarro Superboy. There was already a Bizarro Superboy and he is not the canon Match. The canon Bizarro Superboy looked like this. The canon Match looked like this. This is a conversation about a character that is going to be entering the DC Universe rp, making him more relevant than My Little Pony, Transformers, of half of the other random crap that seems to get discussed here. This is where the conversation began and this is where it needs to end, because THIS is where it belongs. Match is a part of Young Justice already, I don't need to explain why he belongs there. I'm trying to show how Match belongs in our DCU as a whole, how he fits, and I'm doing this all for Eric's sake. Anyone else could just accept it, anyone else could just smile and nod because it's my character and I damn well know exactly what I'm doing, but Eric is not anyone else. He makes me feel like I need to justify my character even though I KNOW I don't. And quite frankly I did stop reading after the phrase 'bickering like children' because that's exactly the position you take for EVERY disagreement, like it's just a petty squabble. Do you think calling anyone childish is instantly going to make everything go away? There's no point in interjecting unless you have something constructive to say, and it seems like you never do. I'm not convinced you even tried to examine our positions before declaring it childish.

I read every word, but as far as I could tell this was an argument about a purely YJ character, as half of the conversation was about him being the Superboy of that RP. If I didn't interpret it clearly or missed something, I apologize.
And you are right. I understood Match's position right away, just by your original description. You don't need to justify him at all. Eric is being an a** about this, plain and simple. Unfortunately he's too much of a douche to admit it, and when I side with you in an argument, such as now, he acts like a five year old and gives me the silent treatment. I expect to get the first complaining text within 20 seconds of posting it, but I don't care. Stray, you are completely in the right about this, and Eric has no right to question the legitimacy of your character-- especially when he hates it so much when you question his.
The reason I chalk up every argument you two have to petty squabbling is that often times that's what it is. You two intentionally push each others buttons JUST to get an inflammatory response out the other. Its a behavior I would expect from 5 year olds-- NOT 20+ year old men!
Take this argument, for example. Stray made a comment about Match, and Eric started questioning, over-analyzing, and generally ripping your character to shreds, just to make Stray look stupid/silly. It goes the other way, too. Eric will say something, and Stray will make an over-the top, know-it-all like comment about it, just to make Eric sound stupid/silly. Rinse and repeat.
What does this all boil down to:
1: "Why did the chicken cross the road?" 2: "Who let out the chicken?" 1: "That's not the point, just answer the question" 2: "No, I want to know every little detail leading up to the moment the chicken crossed the road, with the exception of the reason it crossed in the first place" 1: "Why?" 2: "Because" 1: "Because, why?" 2: "Because, because." 1: "Well, I don't know all that, I just know why it crossed the road." 2: "Well then maybe you should have thought this through and done some research before you went around asking stupid questions like 'why the chicken crossed the road', you dumbass." 1: "Oh you're calling ME a dumbass, dumbass?" 2: "As a matter of fact I am, dumbass!" 1: "Am not!" 2: "Are too!" 1: "Am not!" 2: "Are too!"
......and so on and so forth. That's pretty much the general format for most of the arguments you two have. Maybe if you two stopped trying to troll the s**t out of each other I wouldn't constantly chalk it up to just you two acting like children, but you won't, and you don't, so I can't. It just frustrates me that you two keep getting into this cycle over and over again.

I'd like to say that all of the trolling and name calling and rudeness is reserved to his side of our arguments, but I don't really know because I can't be anyone but me. I don't think I was ever being childish, and if I was then I think it was because I was dragged into it.
I'd like to say this, but I don't really know because I can't be neutral. If that's what you really think then I have to accept it because it's coming from someone I can only assume is being neutral, but I have to tell you it feels like you're just trying to convince me that I was being childish. I'm going to hold to my belief because I go out of my way to treat everyone with respect and courtesy. There are more than a few words I'd like to say, that I would have said if I hadn't gone back and deleted them in order to start over to speak to Eric as an adult. When I do this is, when I take so much care NOT to do any of the things you say that I do then it's difficult to believe that I'm doing them.
