*sigh* I'm so glad I'm not working Pirates todnight. Three shows sold out. Now to see if I can get tickets for myself and my mom for a weekend show. Probably not from what it looks like with my managers.
Oh, and speeking of which, my managers all said the movie sucks. But what do they know?

I saw Pirates last night at 8:30 showing. Overall I liked it, it has a decent amount of twists to the story xd . I wish there was martial arts combat in there sad .

I saw Pirates too! I thought it was awesome. It kept me guessing through out the whole thing which I liked, or maybe I'm just slow. I got confused at a couple parts at first. But I still liked it. ^^

I still haven't seen the second Pirates movie. sweatdrop I'd like to, but meh, I'll just wait until the third one's on DVD. That way I can watch them all at once at home (no noisy idiots around me) for nearly half the price.

The 100th DI? Is that June's? Good thing I just got another graduation present because now I think I may be able to afford them - IF they're good.

I saw Poc3, and here is the skinny *clears throat*
*There were scenes that should have been left out, all together shortening the film without actually damaging the storyline. This would include the majority of first hour of the film altogether >.>, especially the scene where they hanged the kid. (Didnt go with the overall theme of the movie)
*Beckets(sp?) death was dramatic yet boring to watch.
*Tia Dalma's transformation to Calypso *cringe*. Her becoming the 50ft woman and screaming some inaudible non-since was overly dramatic without the payoff. They should have also made better closure of her & Davy. I wasnt at all satisfied with what they did with that part of the storyline. Their story explained a few things & helped to tie in certain aspects of the story but wasnt fully exploited to its fullest potential.
*Mind numbing plot holes like the maelstrom. They gave no noticeable reasoning as to how or why it was created in the first place so it makes the audience believe that it was simply forced into the story to make a major visual affect for the 40min battle scene.
*Didn't get to see the "mark" Jack left on Becket, or find out how or why they became enimies(?) in the first place.
*The witty dialogue that made the first film awesome was cut out completely, and replaced with slapstick humor and one-liners.
*They damn near ruined Jack's character by making him a nit-wit obsessed with his multiple personalities.
etc etc etc. There are too many terrible attributes to list. Don't get me wrong, there were several aspects of the film that I though were awesome. I liked the fact that they each character had their own agenda which varied the plot and kept you guessing how it would all end. I like the conclusion of Will's story (he always showed promise as a captain.) Even the conclusion of Barbosa and Jack's story was befitting (not to mention leaving open a possibility of a 4th PoC.) Well, I think Ive spoiled the story just enough (Not to mention complained more than a mouthfull.)
Overall, I give the movie a C+.

That kinda gives you the idea there might be the possiblility of a spoiler. Not to mention you arent required to read it stare . But if it makes you feel better, there are still many details and scenes that I didnt write about, hell, Ill even white out the para anyway, and you can develop temporary amnesia and forget you read anything wink .
