Wow, I don't know what temperature in Fahrenheit I was when I first had Dengue Fever. Here, it's measured in Celsius and I forgot how to convert. User Image Anyway, mine was milling around 39-41 while I had Dengue. I had my temperature checked like every 2-3 hours or something while I was in the hospital. That was pretty annoying because I'd get awakened in the middle of the night or like veeeery early in the morning for it. xp Being hooked up to an IV for that entire week was no fun either. Early in that week, they fricken DID IT WRONG with my left hand and it got all swollen. stressed Fortunately, they got it right with my right hand. They said it was hard to find my veins. sweatdrop

Sure, it's there's no epidemic of it, but I felt seriously epicly worse when I had Dengue than any kind of flu. Before that, I had not thrown up in 14 years because I generally hate the feeling that come with throwing up. But Dengue made me for the first time in 14 years...and it turned out to be blood. D:

I'm immensely grateful it didn't turn into Dengue Shock Syndrome...now that has more of a potential for being fatal. o_o;; OTL

That sounds like possibly the worst experience one could ever have....on a side note, I can understand why it might be hard to find a vein..your skin IS blue. XD

The Indestructible Izzy
That or kill you. I'unno about it giving you brain damage, but that kind of heat would be like...

If you touched that, your hand would be crispy
.

Ooookay, 120 degrees F will not make your hand crispy. I live in Texas, where it has gotten that hot...which dooooes suck, but it didn't make my hand crispy...

IRL, silly. xp They say it's because I'm...chunky. lol

I forgot to mention that I also had to get my blood drawn once a day to check my platelet count, which meant MORE NEEDLES. ARGH. mad

yeah, I'm not a big fan of needles either...or wasps...or anything with a stinger or barb that remotely resembles a needle...

I now have a paranoia of mosquitoes, since the virus is mainly passed around that way. User Image

Yeah, I also hate bees, wasps, and anything with stingers. Getting stung is not a good feeling either. D:

But most of all...I have a phobia of freaking COCKROACHES. gonk gonk gonk I will scream the loudest I will ever scream if I see one nearby. @_@;;

I knooooow. gonk Back home, when there was a long power outage after a typhoon, I had taken to sleeping on a futon on the floor in the living room, because there was a window across from it that would let a cool wind in at night. I would wake up in the morning with a few round welts on my legs, and I'm pretty sure they were cockroach bites because they were three times larger than mosquito bites. crying

Wow, Azura. I didn't know you and I had this much in common.

Last time I went to the hospital (For Pneumonia), the nurse had a hard time finding my veins too. Took her seven effing tries! God dammit, and worst of all, she was stretching my skin from the inside trying to look for one. You should have seen the looks on my face lmao. Her excuse: My veins are too small. WTF! I'm 6'5, 190 pounds and my veins are too small?! Grr!

Also, I don't know if I ever told you this before, but I only have one phobia in life: COCKROACHES. I freeze up whenever I see them, and I have many bad stories to tell of them crawling over my body...*Shivers uncontrollably* I will...NEVER live in a basement again.

A friend of mine once dared me to eat a cockroach for 30 bucks. Easiest 30 bucks I ever made, XD

Thats gross. Even for my liking. e.e;;

And you're probably right. I'm probably thinking celsius or overeacting. Still, you'd think it'd do somthing.

Back to cockroaches.

Have you ever set one of fire? They explode.

Fun.

'Course, its gutrs got all over me. D:

@Izzy: I've always wanted to set one on fire, but after you said they explode and fling guts all over, I don't think I want to anymore. xp
