Hi everybody, I'm Zal. And, I'm not actually a member of the guild. Just wanted to say that I understand what you're trying to do, and that you have my support.
BUT, since I'm terrible at checking guilds. and also since Gaia seems to care less and less, if I couldn't get three invites in a week, that would be awesome.
Again, understand what you're doing. Support it. Not really looking to join. Just came back after a three-year hiatus. Allow me to get my mind wrapped around what the hell happened to my favorite website, then I'll think about it. The inflation is still hard to wrap my head around.
I mean, I've run a business before, I understand the need to make money, but... I'm tired of having Gcash announcements, and flash sales shoved down my throat. Not to mention the decline of active members of the gaian community. I actually almost cried when I looked and there were less than 10k people online. ... ... Okay, nevermind, I'll join. >.>;;

axoIotl hello. i'm just a member of gaia teetering towards inactivity... i've signed few petitions here and there. i've been on gaia for about three years now? just around about when the inflation was getting worse, i heard. As the guild mods already responded, that's about right. There was a slight increase, just slight, when Evolving Items were introduced for sale with Gaia Cash, followed by the odd re-colour of select items and an occasional RIG. It wasn't a huge deal economy-wise at first, but it did stir controversy as some people were getting very Gaia-wealthy buying these items with cash and selling them for gold, which is ostensibly against Gaia's rules. Go figure. At some point after this, before the cash shop became La Victoire, and Rococo and Mecha Neko came into being, I took a break.
I came back to Gaia probably a bit before you joined based on what you wrote and like many returnees was *stunned* at the changes. I was freaked because I left with what was (at the time) a lot of gold in my account and now it was bollocks. Fortunately I am a trader, and had lots of rare investment items squirreled away whose value was now sky-high, so I recovered very quickly and quite nicely, but a lot of people did not and left in disgust. I've coached a lot of my friends in the art of the trade to help them recover, and anyone can do it. Making gold through the Marketplace without spending cash is not difficult, but it does take patience. If you're teetering on inactivity due to prices and want help raising gold, I'll be happy to work with you. I find buying and selling to be loads of fun, especially when I score a huge profit. 3nodding

I actually almost cried when I looked and there were less than 10k people online. ... ... Okay, nevermind, I'll join. >.>;; Apparently you got more than 1 invite from us. I only sent one I promise. Sorry if it multiplied somehow eek Its at this point we need to build back up a group of people who can help express to Gaia how much we cherish our site and want things to go well, rather than give up on it. Since inflation started 3 years ago, I have become a different Gaian than I was the previous 10 years. Probably more active because I want changes for the better. I no longer covet items but rather sell them in an attempt to sink some of the gold. Glad you joined, though. I'm the GM of two businesses of the same genre, also in charge of everything, near the point of ownership. I know how important marketing is and the way Gaia has gone about it is just too aggressive. We won't ask too much of you here though, maybe sign a few petitions, give a bit of feedback on topics, have some fun, you know, easy stuff.

Lycanthropos Kaitorubel Hi everyone i've been a member of gaia for what feels like for ever. I think i joined gaia about a year or so since it started though i take so many breaks from the site that it feels different every time i come back. anyway i dunno what else to talk about if you liked to get to know me just send me a random message or whatever and i'll happily respond even if it's just something like "potatoes" rofl Potatoes to you! I have one of those dragon-type things on your wish list I have never ever used and never will, so I'm sending it to you. I love dragon stuff too, just this one isn't my thing. Glad to find someone who can eventually use it.
and carrots to you lol and thank you so much for the dragon item I'll be sure to use it here and there.

Adorable avi! Welcome to the guild, inflation has been a growing issue for years but it's really gotten out of hand during the past three or four years. Hopefully we can persuade Gaia to cool it with the gold generators. gonk thank you! i've noticed that they've been on and off with gold generators before, but for some reason they've now continued at it with gold generators again? i wonder what's up with that.

Pwnder axoIotl hello. i'm just a member of gaia teetering towards inactivity... i've signed few petitions here and there. i've been on gaia for about three years now? just around about when the inflation was getting worse, i heard. HI. That was about the time inflation was introduced, it's constantly getting worse at anytime. confused Like Dogoda said, if they would stop selling gold generating items, forever, we might get somewhere if enough attention was focused on gold sinks to funnel a lot of it out. I miss the days when we had to play games and post in the forums to grind for gold. Everyone was on an even playing field then rofl Right now my campaign is to keep suggesting ways to reduce sales announcements. I'll become annoying if I have to, lol Welcome to the guild! Always glad to find new people that share our concern. If you need assistance with anything let us know, we like to help. If you can ever find the time, Tuesday nights the ATS is a great place to let the staff know how you feel and get questions answered.and suggestions noticed. It's what we always try to do thank you! biggrin and i hope that your efforts will come into fruitation, seems like you guys have been working hard on this stuff.

oh, i see... i understand a little more about the past of what's going on with the inflation now. i've started become a little inactive in gaia not because of money, but because i feel like there hardly is anything to do, ever since zomg went away. it was really easy to make friends while gaming in teams, but now we can't do that anymore... thank you for the offer. everyone's so nice :'D

Ayy!! Y'all can call me Kai. I am sure I'll be an old person compared to a lot of people around here (27 as of 11/07)... at least that is how it usually turns out. Currently living in Texas, originally from Ohio. Pretty much accepted the invite because the profile of a particular feminist who is a democrat voting heathen from Texas amused me. I think the people around here (Texas Fort-arlington area) are rude and don't know how to drive for crap (there are so many accidents here all the time compared to where I came from!), I think the new president has fueled hate, and (quite unrelated to our lackluster American Joke, er, President, obviously) I miss how Gaia used to be when I first joined the site.
If y'all feel curious about somethin' then go ahead and ask me whatever. heart

I just thought that was funny when I read your intro. And I surely know what'cha mean about being older than the typical Gaian. I'm a child of the '60s, or was at the time. whee
I also miss how Gaia was back in the day, but hopefully as a group we'll grow and get some changes made that will reign in some of the craziness and make the site more fun.

I do miss having lots of options for just about everything, and winter here bites, but I'm willing to deal with it for the slower smaller community. I've lived in several urban areas so this was a nice change. Where in Texas do you live?

Yeah, I miss that chill (not the weather) of Ohio. Everyone around here is in too much of a hurry to get nowhere important. Also I was scared of the city roads around here. It's just road and curb, no in between space! Arlington area. xP Fairly close to Dallas. Close to the stadium in the Arlington area actually.

Hey there! My name is Kaia I started playing Gaia way back in 08. I was fairly well established before my attention drew me elsewhere. Teenagers tend not to have the best attention span to be honest. I have returned again as a 26 year old house wife and mother to relive the nostalgia of my teens... unfortunately I didn't find much of that at all.
I don't need to tell you of all the things that have changed for the worse I'm sure you all are very well aware. I just hope by my being a part of this guild, and being active within this small community that we as a collective can make a change for the better!
EDIT: I also do lots of graphics design work and would love to be of help however I can in this capacity. Not sure who would be in charge of this, but siggy buttons, advertising banners, headers whatever you want I can at least attempt to help.
