Sapphire paused a moment and turned back to Vandal. Really they shouldn't be anywhere. She wasn't sure why she was even still standing here.
"Because he looks like gramps but he's not gramps."
"I thought you were leaving..."
"I will if it comes to the point that I need to. Seriously."
"Seriously...go egg a house or something."
"Wow, you're actually giving me permission to be rotten?"
"I haven't heard very much about you..." Sapphire replied, trying to think of something to say...and change the subject.
"Caveman...remember?"

Savage shrugged and said, "Well, I'm not much of one for gloating on the deeds of the past, as they rarely have much effect on the minds of the listener. I usually prefer to look to the future. But if you insist, I suppose I could give you a brief overview of my work."

Also, I've personally known Erik the Red, Napoleon Bonaparte, Otto von Bismarck, and Adolf Hitler, once again, to only name a few." There was no hint of lying, or of joking, in his voice. Why would there be? It was the truth.

Sapphire paused a moment. "So...you weren't making that up?"
"Duh. I'm not that creative." she replied, then paused a second herself. "I mean I am, just not about other people like that."
"Quite a rep for not being one to brag. People don't believe you I take it?" Sapphire asked. Honestly if the girl hadn't brought it up beforehand, she probably wouldn't have herself.

Oh boy...so he looked like Blackstone, sounded like him, and had a rather lengthy lifespan apparently. Wonder if she had a little double running around from another universe.
The bit about him having been Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, and all those others were a little hard to believe, but he was from another universe...who knows what history was like where he's from. And if he really was a 'caveman' as Elizabeth had said, then it's more than possible that he was at all of those events.
If she hadn't known an immortal herself, this probably would have been harder to grasp. Though Blackstone wasn't that old. Maybe fifteenth century?
His universe, he knew Supergirl, probably from Batman's world. Might have to try and find him later and ask about all this.
About that time her stomach growled again.

Savage's face became an expression of amusement at the sound of her stomach's protesting of the lack of a meal. "It would seem your stomach wishes to cut this short in favor of some food. A hotel WOULD mean room service..."

(( Well, he has his reasons: as long as he's uninjured, he's fine, but if he recieves a mortal wound, he needs to eat of his own flesh and blood, i.e. his children, to heal. A child of his in another Universe would be a major assett should he end up in that Universe for an extended period of time for whatever reason ))
