Lin had been silent for most of this time, not even hardly noticing her professor had arrived. Danni was the other Rinaldi child that the Rinaldi parents had warned her about. She was the child that was full of black magic. But... she didn't feel it radiating out of Danni.
"Is... is your first name, Isadora?"

Danni took an automatic step back, but then straightened her spine, clenching her jaw. So, her parents had gotten to her too...typical. It shouldn't have surprised her, but still. Anger passed through her, a powerful dark wave that had dark magic radiating off her in one huge wave before suddenly disappearing as she reined it in, taking a deep breath. "Only if you ask other Rinaldis. To the rest of the world, I'm Danni." She said, shrugging and wondering what Lin Yin would say next.

With that Night appeared at Danni's side. "howdy elf! remember me?" He chuckled as he simply floated on his stomach beside Danni as if he were on an invisible ledge. "I don't know about you but I am ecstatic to see you again." If he had a face you would know he was be smiling. "By the way Danni you still OK? your powers kinda popped a bit."

Her face paled even more, not in the porcelain, perfect skin way that elves possessed, but in a sickening way. The dark NOW emanated off of her. In a large wave. She could practically see it. It actually made her feel quite sick. No, she couldn't get ill, but the darkness was a poison to her. Too much of it would slowly kill her.
Her pendant flashed brilliantly and formed a type of shell around her, keeping the lightness inside and the darkness outside. "So you are dark."

Danni looked up at Night, sighing. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks." Then she turned back to Lin Yin and stuffed her hands in her pockets, a gesture she always made when she was uneasy. "You could put it that way...Or you could say I practice black magic...dark arts...whatever you want to call it. I'm sorry, though. I know black magic isn't good for elves...I can leave if you want." She offered, shrugging as though it didn't really matter. "I guess my folks already talked to you. Guess they said I was...a monster who consorted with demons, or something along those lines. It's up to you whether or not you believe them." Danni said, studying Night instead of looking at Lin Yin. It was easier if you didn't look at people who's first instinct was to get away from you as fast as they could...

Danni's wave of dark power did nothing to Ophiuchus, but he did grimace slightly, but not because of the magic. Hopefully, a fight wouldn't break out. He quickly relaxed though, when no bombs or anything of the sort went off.
Meanwhile, Maggie went wide-eyed when she almost felt Danni's anger. She backed away slightly, into Ophiuchus. Not that she had anything against darkness, but her powers being what they were, she was in a similar boat to Lin. Prolonged periods of darkness could make her ill. But, Maggie reminded herself, that doesn't make Danni a bad person. So instead, she blurted out the next thing that came into her mind. "How did you DO that?"

"Do what?" Danni asked, confused. She didn't remember accidently pulling off any spell during her little anger management moment...had she gone and turned someone into a frog again? God, please say no.

Lin didn't know what to think. Her body was telling her one thing. Her past was echoing in her mind, her people and school telling her how dangerous dark magic was. But then, Dymetri's words from that night came to the forefront of her mind. He was dark, used dark magic, but she liked being around him. That was the first time she admitted it, but she liked being around him! Oh she didn't know what to think.
"No. Don't leave. You shouldn't have to leave. I on the other hand... I have homework. And I'm not feeling very well."
She muttered a Latin word, which caused the shield to disappear from around her, and she started walking back toward the entrance of the school. As she did this, she unscrewed the top of her pendant and drank some of the spring water, quickly feeling better.

"Yeah, sure. Bye." She didn't say 'see ya around' or 'later', or any of the usual things she said. Because, if she guessed right, that was one girl who'd make it her new found mission to ignore a certain black magic user...Great, just perfect. Nice job, self, she thought sarcastically, you're getting this whole 'making nice with potential friends' thing down...Not.

Ophiuchus glanced at Lin, watching her leave. Leaving Maggie, he followed Lin. He had a pretty good idea what might be going through her head. "Lin Yin," he called after her. "How would you like to play teacher's assistant for a bit?"
Maggie popped right back up and nearly jumped Danni. "That thing you did, duh! You got all angry and there was this little bit of dark magic that I actually saw! Can you teach me dark magic? Oh, bye Lin!!" The cheerful fairy waved at the elf.

"Bah! she hates everything to do with dark magic. Did you know she was friends with her roommate and actually let a little thing like her being a demon cloud that? ... I personally don't like her ... then again I don't like allot of things." His feet touched the ground lightly as he looked back at lin heading towards the school.
"I only wish there was some way we could make her see that not everything with dark magic is bad." He shrugged then turned his attention to Maggie. "hey a fairy!"

Lin's eyes widened at her professor's words. She didn't know how she felt about him. He loved a vampire. But, she was quickly developing a new perspective on at least vampires. Well, maybe in small steps she was.
Besides, being a teacher's assistant was incredible! She had been one at Bai Ching, and she had learned so much. So, she smiled and bowed politely. "Yes, sir. I would like that very much. Thank you."

"Yes, Night, that is a fairy. Very nice observation skills," Danni said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. Then she turned her attention back to Maggie, scratching the back of her head. "Oh...that. That's called a moment of poor self control. I haven't been using my powers for the past few hours, so when I got mad, they found an outlet of release and...boom." She made an explosion gesture with her hands, then raised a brow.
"Teach you black magic? Aren't you a...you know, white magic, flower kinda fairy. Not the kind of person who has a dark mark on her back, I wouldn't think," She said, frowning slightly. "You could always learn spells, I guess, that draw energy from negative feelings. But demons and all that...you'd get eaten alive without a mark." She said, her brows furrowing.

Athena, tired of waiting and finished with her homework, was growing worried. Where was Lin? Was the elf really avoiding her? Oh, please, please no... Hurriedly, Athena opened the dorm door (she didn't bother to grab her key, as she had it hanging from a necklace around her neck so that she'd never forget it) and walked outside. There, she paused for a moment, sniffing the air for Lin's scent.
It took a moment, but she found the scent--it was coming from the garden, so its flowery-ness was masked slightly. Turning her eyes in that direction, Athena took off running, leaping over objects in her way without thinking. Her nose led her about as the crow flies, and her ears listened carefully for Lin's voice. Soon she'd reached the gardens, and sure enough, there was Lin.
However, she didn't approach Lin just yet--she stepped through some bushes and just watched; it seemed the elf was in a conversation, and Athena knew (after a breif Google search) that elves had a thing for politeness, which you tended to ignore in a family of fourteen. So, instead, she stood about three meters away, which left her closer to the other people--one of whom was Danni, followed by Night.

Ophiuchus smiled back at Lin. "I guess this school must be a bit of a culture shock to you and everything. Maybe a few private lessons would help you out a bit."
Maggie crossed her arms and stared defiantly at Danni, though the fairy honestly wasn't that tall, just under five feet. "It's not in stone, so I don't give a damn. I just want you to teach me about the stuff and maybe a few useful curses is all."
