Ever been bitten by a kitten?
@Tifa: That's not a bad idea but credit cards are real beneficial when building up your credit rating (Which really helps when you go to buy a car, house, or get a lone of some sort). They key, as you eluded to, is to pay off the bill every month so you don't get charged interest and to use it like cash you already have. For example: When in college I only used my credit card to buy food and class materials (textbooks, paper, etc). These were thing I would have to buy anyway and allow for in my budget; thus I always had enough money to pay off the bill at the end off the month.

Ever milked a cow?
@Cobalt-M5: I'd only get a credit card if I knew for sure that I had that money elsewhere. I'm not one of those people who'd go around spending "invisible" money. What you did was definitely smart. When I actually have a job, I might get one, but only one. I've enjoyed using a debit card (Not so much writing checks, but the debit's linked to my checking account, so it's all good), so that's something I won't stop using. And since it's a Visa check card, it's been accepted everywhere so far.

Have you ever ridden a cow?
@Tifa: Not a bad deal. Thou I have found it to be cheaper to use my credit card than my debit card since I get charged a perchance fee every time I use my debit card. I would advise getting a credit card and using it wisely. I can tell you from experience that having a good credit score when you go to buy a car really pays off. For you to get a good credit score you have to have had credit (i.e. loans, credit cards, etc.) and payed the bills on time. A credit score is based off how long you have had credit, how often you have credit, and wither you pay the bills on time/in full.
