Hey LF, how exactly do Choice items work?
I Had a choice scarf on my Brumak, and your Garchomp just out-sped it like a joke. xd
I know it boosts speed, but how much does it increase by?
Edit: I've never been interested in Chatot. neutral
Maybe a Pidgeot would do. 3nodding

They provide a boost to stats, at the expense of locking you into only choosing one attack...
I'm not sure how much they boost though...It's a significant amount though, I'm sure.
You know Sai, I don't think most of us would mind if you just spelled out your curse words...

Well if he's EV'd and Natured Right Infernape can easily outspeed Garchomp so ScarfTar wouldn't be a problem you'd think

Lin- the only problem is when you use a Chatot on the wifi it stays with the default sound instead
Jerz-Choice Items boost stats by 2 or 3 stages I believe but with the downside of being limited to one move until you switch out and do it again. If a pokemon has a lower base speed then even with a scarf it speed wont go up enough to outrun a pokemon with a much higher speed stat.
So for example to make sure my Scarf'd Tar is fast enough I EVd in speed as well to give it the best boost I can get.

I was wanting to slap on a Choice Scarf on one of my faster guys.
Also, I'm debating on retraining my Dragonite, to try and get Extremespeed. blaugh

I was outsped by a Friggin' Aggron today D:<
After a good Rock polish... But.. it outsped my Weavile and my Starmie. I found this.. unfathomable..
But the dude explained to me that when you raise a stat by one "stage" it's by 50%. Rock Polish raises 2 stages..
his Aggron's original speed was 188 so he raised his speed to 376.
Is that right? Which would be reasonable because my Weavile's speed is less than that..
But is "One stage" really 50%?

If I remember correctly, it's around 1.5x the Speed Stat. It's not actually a stage increase, because it's still technically possible to pass 3 Agilities to a Choice Scarfed Pokémon. Bulbapedia The six stages of increase are x1.5, x2.0, x2.5, x3.0, x3.5, and x4.0. The six stages of decrease are 2/3, 1/2, 2/5, 1/3, 2/7, and 1/4.

Does anyone know how the WiFi Tower Ranks are determined? I'm so confused by them. I just went from rank 1 to rank 2
Also the wifi tower is so hacked >.<
