Actually no you do not if you watch closely right when Cloud goes to the Forgotten City in his flashbacks you will notice Tifa is wearing a sort of engagement ring. (now it might not be an engagement ring but it looks like one) So it points out that Tifa is the one he probably loves.

Well I did say I wasn't sure about the ring thing, but I agree with you that it could come out differently since we all had different points of view on AC.

Actually, with the wolf thing, it symbolizes how Cloud is in the movie. A LONE WOLF. Remember how he moved out of the orphanage and lived in the church?

I think the only reason why he lived there was because he felt guilty over Aerith's death. That's one reason why he keeps seeing her.
She's trying to tell him it's alright, and move on, and I'll see you in the after life and what-not.

I think Tifa and Barret have the rings only because of friendship with Cloud. Think about it. When you were a kid you gave your best friend a friendship bracelet or necklace, right?
I think it's the same thing here.

No, no, I honestly think Cloud isn't going to end up with anyone. And if he does, it would be Tifa. I mean, Aerith isn't going to come back from the dead. Besides, Aerith will always live in Cloud's heart now and forever.

So...in the end...Cloud gets both of them. Heh heh heh. Two-timer.

Alright. I have got to agree with the fact that there IS a life after death. There is a way that the people we love protect us in their spiritual form.
It's the same with Aerith.
She protects EVERYONE-even Tifa and especially Cloud-after she dies.

It's about Aerith in the planet. She's there protecting everyone and meeting all the people who have died during the game. i.e. Jessie, Wedge, and Biggs. Dyne....

It tells how Aerith was there with Tifa-spiritually-while Cloud had mako poisoning. She got to know the real Cloud because of that and loved him even more.
She got her wish.

Exactly when did Aerith give Cloud and Tifa a BLESSING? O_o

Oh, yes. The fact that she's jealous that Tifa's alive and CAN take care of him, and wishes she could, too, automatically makes her giving them a "father's blessing."

It never said a "motherly" gaze, either. You want motherly gazes?

Nomura has also stated in an interview that Tifa has a "maternal bond" with Cloud...

P.S. - You seem to be leaving Barret out of the equation here. BARRET is Marlene's father. BARRET is living with Cloud and Tifa, too. Cloud and Tifa don't get along very well in Case of Tifa...Barret seems to make them a bit happier, though.

Yeah Aeris was jealous because it was Tifa that was in Cloud deepest most privet thoughts and not her. And who said anything about a fathers blessing? You don't have to be a father to give your blessing to a couple.

Aeris is giving her blessing to Tifa. It's not a fatherly blessing, it's a blessing from one friend to another.


And so, Tifa accomplished the task. Collating her own memories with that of Cloud's, she looked for the things that only the real Cloud could know. Proofing it all, the closed door was opened. Not leaving Soldier allowed Jenova's power that was implanted in Cloud to copy the Soldier traits of his close friend, Zacks. Drawing out the deep memories that were firmly clammed up inside all of that, she reconstructed his original character instead of the fake character he created to protect himself.

"You did it, Tifa. Thank you... I'm a little jealous of you but, do take care of Cloud and the upper world."

Tifa embraced Cloud tightly as he returned to his senses. Aerith watched as both of them returned to the surface while smiling like an affectionate mother.


This followed Cloud calling her mother in the Life Stream and Aeris calling him a big child confirms how they feel about each other. Tifa never calls Cloud a child and Cloud never calls Tifa mother.

I mean just look at the dialog between Aeris and Cloud in AC. He hasn't seen or talked to Aeris in two years and then when he finally does she asks. "So why did you come?" and all he says is "I want to be forgiven." not "I wanted to see you" or "I wish you could be here with me."



Oh a motherly "smile" then. Like that’s a big difference.



Oh please, this is clearly overanalyzing and grasping at straws. It's a 'fact' that Tifa is in love with Cloud. She has been since she was a child. Her whole story line and characterization revolves around her relationship with Cloud, through the game, In The Case of Tifa, and AC. It's the whole reason why she's there. So you're telling me, that Nomura suddenly decided to throw all of that away and turn her feelings for Cloud into something maternal. That's just ridicules! Tifa's love for Cloud isn't even debatable. Tifa is in love with Cloud. It's a huge part of her character. Nomura would not take that away from her because Tifa wouldn't be Tifa with out it.

Also, so what if Tifa had feelings "similar" (key word) to the feelings a mother. Girlfriends and boyfriends, husbands and wives, often act and feel 'slightly' parental toward each other every 'now and then'. It's a natural part of any romantic relationship.

Aeris on the other hand calls him a big child and then sends him back to Tifa while 'Zack is there'



You know I have heard lots of Cleris say this but they can never produce the actual quotation. You know why? Because it's most likely a dumb Cleris rumor to combat the "mother" and "big Child" remarks made by Cloud and Aeris in AC. So Aeris isn't the mother it's Tifa.



Oh P.P.S - 'BARRET' only stayed for a year. After that he left Cloud and Tifa alone with Marleen for several months. That's more then half a year. And guess what, THEY WERE HAPPY!. Cloud only became depressed after he kept receiving flower from Aeris foster mother. I mean hell, if I had to keep going to my dead friends grave, I would start feeling guilty to. Also Nomura said that Cloud has only been living in Aeris's church "recently."

Cloud always loved Aerith. Him and Tifa will always be good friends, and anyone who thinks cloud could have ever gotten with yuffie is a complete retard
