Kederaji grunted at her comment about the death along the borderlands. "I'd much rather die in battle than die an old man." Then, when the Aes Sedai asked to bond him, he looked over at her and arched his eyebrow quizzically. The quizzical look quickly changed to thoughtfulness as he considered the idea. Here he was, trapped in a land so familiar yet so foreign, with no purpose and no mission. He'd spent his life as a guard, a slave and protector of his empress, may she live forever, willing to kill or die without remorse in her service. Then, in one disconcerting moment, that purpose was ripped away from him. It would be nice to have something worth fighting for again.
He turned to face the Aes Sedai and laid the tin cup down. Okay. I agree. He took two steps back, then drew his sword with a flourish and a twirl, and brought the blade to his lips. "By my honor, my sword and life belong to you. As long as I live, I will kill in your service. If required, I will die in your place. I am the sword in my Aes Sedai's hand, and the shield on her arm. My life and blade belong to you." He twirled the sword once more, taking it by the blade and offering the grip to her, kneeling, and thus finishing the oath given by a Deathwatch Guard to the Empress.

Mercuryangel " If it helps any, he has dark red hair, and blue eyes. I heard one of them call him Mog I think. Since no one had attacked him..I figured he was friendly. Do you recall him?
No sleep eh? Don''t you start ending up like me; the Yellows are to chase after me and me alone. The title of the stubborn insomniac shall remain mine and mine alone."
She teased and shot a grin in her friend''s direction.
"Strange about the Grays though...it''s somewhat contrary..you''d think that they''d attempt to fix the break with whoever offended them..or not..I''ll leave that to the Whites to figure out, though it IS amusing. I''ll have some eyes and ears look into the Daughter Heir. Want me to appoint a sister for her protection as well? Perhaps someone newly raised...they won''t be too entangled in the shawl to maintain respect & peace.
I''m fine. I don''t see a lot of you; you''re right. Things have changed. I slightly miss the comparable lack of pressure and work...sometimes I even miss being able to play pranks..not the pots though. I was thinking on it this morning. Have you eaten? I was going to call a novice to bring some food." "Mog?" Clarissa laughs "I just bonded him as my Warder." Clarissa thought that she would have think it through before she told anyone that she too had been bonded. Clarissa smiles back and says "A sister protecting the daughterheir would be helpful. No I have not eaten I was also about to call for food. Lets eat here."

As the man arched his brow, Lacy was sure he was going to tell her that he would rather not be bonded to a Green or her inparticular. She had irritated the man the night before about his mysterious past. Of course she vowed to herself if he did say yes she would ask not more questions about his past. As the look changed to one of thoughtfulness, Lacy smiled slightly. If he was considering it then the answer was as likely to be yes as no.
When he agreed, Lacy's smile softened. Aes Sedai were often happy when bonding a new Gaidin, Greens more than most. Of course the fact that he was her first Warder was even a greater reason to be happy. Reaching for Saidar she was schocked as the man steped back and brought the blade to his lips in a very showy fashion. As he spoke his oath and turned the hilt of the sword to her Lacy grabbed the hilt, in a silent way accepting his pledge and becoming his Aes Sedai, he her Gaidin.
As she was grabbing the hilt Lacy was weaving the intricate weaves of Spirit and looped them around Kederaji and herself. As the weaves settled his feelings popped into her head. A small ball of emotions. There was discust and determination and pain. The discust was something she could not figure out. The pain she figured out quickly as she looked down at his hands.

She got up a moment and signaled to the novice on duty to bring up two trays of breakfast, along with some tea and water. The girl curtsied and opened the door, and in trying to walk out, nearly collided with Hawk. Startled, and blinking, she paused and then dodged around him.
Mercury looked up and saw him; she was going to be in for it now.
"Hello Hawk. I was talking with the Amyrlin. You may need to hear this...just let me check if she'll allow it or not."
She stuck her head back into Clarissa's study. "Um, Mother, would you mind if Hawk came and joined us for the talk about Mog? It's better that the other Warders or sisters don't go attacking him, thinking him to be an enemy...or would you rather we kept this between as few people as possible?"

The ball of emotions that popped into his head was completely unexpected, and took the blademaster by surprise. He knew at once that the power had been used on him, and was reflexively disgusted. To be touched by marath'damane in this way... A marath'damane that he swore his life to. He pushed the disgust down as far as he could. She seemed excited, but unsure, and curious as always. It was... strange, having another's emotions in his head. He also seemed to know exactly how she was feeling, that she was still a little tired. Definitely something he'd need to get used to.
Kederaji took the sword back when it was offered and Folded the Fan, fluidly sheathing it. He then pulled a dagger from his belt and sliced a strip of cloth from his cloak, wrapping it around his right hand. He'd gripped down on the sword, which was part of the oath he'd given, sworn, as always, with blood and blade. The cut wasn't deep, but he'd let it scar as a reminder of his oath.

As discust flared for an instand then she could tell he was pushing it down. She realized it was because he had been touched by the Power. Lacy laughed very softly. "I swear that is the last time I will use the One Power on you unless it is a life or death situation. By the Three Oaths you know it to be true." Lacy was curious about the cuts on his hands but she felt she had no call to question his oath. He had made it and she knew he'd keep it. The determination through the Bond told her that much.
The Bond was something new to her and she could tell it was for him as well. The small amount of suprise running through the Bond told her that. She could tell that he was not as tired as she was even though he had ran and sparred slightly. That suprised her. Her eyes widdened slightly with that revelation. "We will both have to get used to the Bond. If ever you wish to mask the Bond, put it to where I can not feel it you must think about tieing the ball of emotions in a cloth. With out the Bond masked I can tell where you are in any direction and can feel your emotions. If there is a great distance between us I can point you out in a general direction and the emotions are not as clear." Lacy paused. "Do you have any questions?"

*The man dodges to his left, and begins trying to bring the staff down on Skiiy, but in the typical fashion of his style, Skiiy has another move ready. He redirects the thrusting sword downwards into the ground, planting it firmly, then pushes off of it, sending the bulk of his body flying at the man's legs, his left sword held out in front of him, and the right blade he had used to push up near his head.*

Lacy smiled slightly at his question then became quite serious. "At the moment nothing. But when we are in the field I need your advise on danger and on what you would do in my situation and for you to guard my back. Even if you do not think I am doing a wise thing. If you disagree with me then tell me so. I'll know through the bond if you do. All I ask is you tell me why." Lacy's serious face remained so.. "Is there anything you need from me?"

As Kakashi fell, however, he threw his body weight forward to send him rolling. After one roll, he was on his feet again and spun, bringin his staff towards Skiiy's head in a downward arc. He knew enough to remember that this was training and wouldnt let the attack land on Skiiy, but he also knew enough to not let up until the very last second.

*Since his momentum is already going in that direction, Skiiy allows himself to roll, which takes him away from Kakashi to stop on the other side of the field. He stands back up and brings his two swords up in a defensive stance, allowing Kakashi to take the offensive, since he had attacked last.*

Nariah jumped slightly as the light suddenlt appeared and the Aes Sedai thanked her warder. Well, why hadn't she done that herself? Nariah didn't think she'd ever understand Aes Sedai. And daylight was still the best time to read anyway.

Kederaji nodded when she asked him to offer tactical advice. He always had, even when he had been a low ranking Deathwatch, he had been asked for his advice. Her next command made him frown, since questioning orders was a completely foreign concept to him. He had often disagreed, but never verbally. Those in power were there for a reason, and it was not his place to question that. The blademaster closed his eyes for a few moments, then nodded. "I... will try."
Kederaji took the dagger, which was still in his left hand, and slid the blade underneath the ribbon around his sword sheath. Now that he was a gaidin, there was no need to conceal his skill. He cut the top few wraps of the ribbon, and it fell free, revealing an ornately lacquered sheath. The majority was green, a green so dark it was nearly black, with a heron outlined in crimson. For the first time in his life, Kederaji was glad his weapon did not have the Imperial sigil on it.
