Gasping for air and looking like a drowned rat, Smith stayed at the edge of the portal for a moment to catch his breath and debate whether he wanted to stay and help the others. Raiquen quickly chimed in and told him to save their collective asses and get the hell out of there before another crazy monster appeared. Smith was more than willing to follow his advice and told himself that if a trainee could swim to safety then the others would be fine. And with that he quickly made his way through the portal to safety with the intention of taking a hot shower as soon as possible.

The portal was within view. She was going to make it. She was going to live. She reached out for the portal - or she thought she did, her arms had stopped responding to her, and she floated more than anything. But she could see the night sky, and the glow of the portal nearby, and her legs kicked her in the right direction. Was it a hallucination, or did she swim by a ball with a hand painted on it, and a face on that? Hallucinating from shock, surely. Someone pulled her up, just enough to get near the portal, but she pushed them away. "Not yet." She hissed. Her fingers and lips were blue. "Not yet." HP: 7 Wave 3

Jerry drew in a deep breath before letting go of the board and letting himself sink. He had tied his tie off to the thing at least, so it couldn't drift far or they'd both be screwed. His hand grabbed a hold of dress and he hauled her upright, gasping frantically as he reeled in his flotation device as grabbed a hold. "I... I gotcha!!" HP: 16 Wave: 1 (Saving Glenda) omg I don't understand rules and totally just did a ton of unnecessary wave rolls

She was so close, so close to that stupid and poorly-placed liferaft...
And then Gnat was there, clinging to the side and taking deep, calming breaths.
"C'MON, SHORT STUFF AN' ABS-FOR-DAYS, I AIN'T WAITIN' FOR YA," she hollered.
She was definitely waiting for them.

The three waves threatened to overwhelm him but eventually he got over the third wave and was swimming toward the portal. Jude looked like someone put him in a bag of angry wet rats.

He pulled himself up, his body shivering profusely. "Nnng..Not...B-best thing ever..."

He made sure she was securely on the board, keeping a hold to try to keep his head above water, but it made life more difficult. He coughed and sputtered, shaking violently as a wave thundered down upon them, but he kept a grip on the woman and the makeshift raft. Just head toward the light.... HP: 10 Wave: 2 (saving Glenda)

"Sorry, I have no idea what you're trying to say." She said, spitting out some of the sea water that swept over them both. Finally reaching the portal, she helped the life hunter up, glancing back at the other hunters. Was she even able to do another round of this?
