Cara glared at Xander and was about to go after him when she heard the Pokemon's cry. She had to choose between going after, whom she now considered her newly developed arch-foe, or going to save the Legendary whose cry tore at her heart. Cara looked at Tiger who nodded in the direction that the heartbreaking call came from and she nodded back. They would go to the aid of this Pokemon. Team Rocket was probably behind whatever trouble the Legendary was in. Cara picked up her cuffs and abandoned her pursuit of Xander and Kotetsu for the time being. She and Tiger then began running towards the area where they heard the cries coming from. They arrived upon the scene of the "abandoned" warehouse and were momentarily stumped until the mystery Pokemon called out again. Sharing a determined look, Cara and Tiger rushed into the facility with everyone else and were shocked at what they saw. Can the depravity of these bastards go no lower?! The duo glared at the operation TR had going on, and Tiger growled. Across the way they spotted the Legendary that had been calling out for help. A Suicune! My initial hunch the other day was right! Cara had thought that the Pokemon calling for help was a Suicune when they saw it at the bottom of the trail a few days ago but she wasn't certain. She saw that the poor Suicune was in chains and she looked at Tiger who gave her a nod and the two took off to the other side of the lake, knocking aside the Rockets who stood in their way. "Out of the way you monsters!" She shouted, quickly making her way to the legendary. Once she reached the Suicune she started pulling on the chains, having Tiger blast them with attacks. "Don't worry Suicune, we're here to help." She said, gently patting the wondrous being. Cara smiled warmly, showing that she was no threat. "I'm Cara, and this is my partner Tiger. We won't let team Rocket or anyone hurt you any more. The other trainers and I will get you out of this, I promise." Cara spoke with as much conviction as possible, her eyes kind and gentle as she talked. Tiger stood next to her, taking a moment to try and reassure the Suicune. "Arcanine, Arc-canine Arc!" Don't worry, we'll get you out of this! Cara always keeps her promises.Cara then went to helping Tiger pull off and break away the chains that were wrapped around Suicune as gently as possible, they didn't want to cause any further harm to it. Cara smiled softly at the Suicune after pulling off one of the chains. Her smile held nothing but friendliness and kindness. "Hey, maybe after this is all over, we can be friends? No one would ever hurt you or trap you again with an officer around you." She said that last part with a small laugh. "I'm sure my other Pokemon friends would love to meet you, and I think Tiger likes you already." Cara grinned as she told Suicune that, after she noticed Tiger fighting feverishly to free it.At that last thought, Tiger looked up and Cara could see a light blush forming on his cheeks as he quickly went back to blasting and working on freeing Suicune from the chains.

Dave ran in between the rockets and the Suicune as he arrived with the other trainers. "Thtop that!" he shouted and tried to stop the machine bottling the water. "Can't you thee that you're hurting it?!" he shouted, His Growlithe bared his teeth at the Rockets and shot Aerial Ace at any that came too close to trainer or Legendary. "Ith not meant to be caged! Pokemon aren't meant to be forthed around!" Dave shouted at the Rockets while he tried to dismantle the machine. "They should be free to travel ath they pleathe. I know I am, I hate being confined and I never do that to Mileth! Pokemon should choothe how they travel and who with! They shouldn't be forthed to do ath you pleathe and thedated! Pokemon aren't meant to be ekthploited, you shouldn't be uthing it to purify water for your own profit when it doethn't even want to it! I'd never do that to Mileth!" he snapped. "Mileth hath the right to hith own choitheth ath much ath I do, and tho doeth thith thuicune!"Miles busied himself with heating the base of the chains, making them weaker and easier to break. He paused for a moment to look at the Suicune. "I'm Miles, and my trainer is Dave, we're here to help you get out so you can make your own choice about who to stay with, even if its not with us. You have a right to freedom." he explained quickly before going back to his job.Dave's pokeball, that he hadn't used on the entire trip, bounced out of his pocket and onto the stand next to the Suicune, rolling to a stop against the Legendary's leg.

"Mm, just a Cubone. Better than coming back empty handed, though. But if I can grab this Suicune too, we'd have a legendary to boot. And being so new, why, even if I was caught, there would be nothing I could tell the authorities about what Team Rocket had been doing here. Goodness me, I'm just so overwhelmed," she said, batting her big blue eyes at Clyde. "In fact, right now, I'm begging you to let that poor pokemon go. And since this mission is clearly a bust, really, you aren't losing much giving the pokemon to a trainer. Spin it right, and you might even get some good press," Fifi said, looking deeply concerned and very earnest despite her more matter-of-fact tone. "But, like you said, we'll have to wait for a higher-up to give the green light, so why don't you tell me to help keep these ruffians away until then? I wouldn't want to lie when I tell them I was ordered to attack," she finished with a hopeful and vapid expression painted across her face, hands clasped in front of her chest.

George had been out in the field recovering from the many battles when he heard the cry. The sadness and helplessness within the cry had struck a chord within him and he took off runing in an attempt to find the source. From the looks of it, he wasn't alone in the search to find the crying pokemon. The group quickly found the building, bursting through the door he scanned it quickly to survey the situation. Seeing the Suicune in that state pushed a button that bypassed any logic path. The look he gave the Team Rocket members were of a restrained and controlled rage. All his officer training screamed at him to regain composure and think clearly. He couldn't let Team Rocket have the Suicune, that was the first priority. If they got it, they could do so much more damage and that was unacceptable. He would first secure Suicune and then arrest any Team Rocket members he could get his hands on. They had better hope he didn't get his hands on any because he sure wasn't going to be gentle in the process. He didn't know what would help but he would have to try something, “ Tyr, use Protect on the Suicune and then use Shadow Ball and hit as many as you can. I want them all running scared like the cowards they are.” When Tyr used Protect on the Suicune he started to approach, his expression softening with every step. He raised his hands in a non threatening way and approached slowly to allay its fears. It looked like the Protect had the desired affect not allowing the Team Rocket members to continue sedating it. No pokemon should be treated like this, he thought to himself. The Rockets caught unaware were quickly dispatched and rendered unconscious. Once the first few went down, the rest of Team Rocket in the building noticed they were being attacked by the group and began to scatter. George smiled seeing them running scared and leaving them to free the Suicune. He wanted nothing more than to chase them down and try to stop the truck hopefully capturing many of them. But the chained and drugged Suicune had to be freed before arresting Team Rocket members, even though it pained him to let them escape after they had done something this cruel. Crouching down in front of the dazed and sluggish Suicune, he began stroking its cheek showing it that he meant no harm. " Don't worry, we will have you out of here before long. And if you want to help me track down the people that did this to you, I would be more than happy to have you on the team." As soon as the majority of the Rockets were scattered Tyr hurried back to George's side and laid down in front of the Suicune facing it. < Everything will be ok now. George is a really good person and he won't let any harm come to you. You don't have anything to fear now.> George smiled looking at Tyr and rubbed his head for a moment, " You did a good job there partner. I couldn't have done it better myself." He pulled out some treats for the Suicune and Tyr, he had both berries and meat chunks ready for them. He laid some of each in front of Tyr and the rest in front of Suicune. He wanted her to see that the food was ok and that they were both her friend. Tyr quickly ate his portion and responded with a content sigh, “ Poochyena.” < He always has the best treats too.>, he smiled as he stood back up and shook some of the dirty off his belly. Tyr sat down next to the Suicune keeping an eye out for any Rocket members while others tried to free it. He knew George needed him to protect them while everyone was trying to free her. Reaching into his jacket pocket George pulled out a lock pic set and grabbed the appropriate tools from the set for the size of the locks. He took a couple of deep breaths to calm his nerves then started to work on the chains attempting to unlock the brace form her leg. After the first few tries, he could tell these were high quality locks but they wouldn’t be able to keep him out indefinitely.

Snowbelle Thundara Look for the piece with Cara and Tiger bolded in the blue sections, that's the only part you NEED to read of my mini novel Covered in a film of sweat, blood and dirt and colored by various aged bruises Cadence was looking quite the mess. Branimir wasn't faring much better, his fur was matted in places and covered with blood and dirt as well. They had fallen back from the battles to recuperate and Cadence was leaned against a tree rummaging through her bag for potions and berries for her arcanine and some antiseptic and gauze for herself. After a few minutes of searching she dug the supplies out of the bottom of her pack and set to work on healing up Branimir's wounds before tending her own.
She winced as she poured the antiseptic onto her cuts and scrapes but she knew the burning sensation was a lot better than what she would be feeling if they got infected. Just as she finished bandaging up her last cut the strange cry she had heard before reached her ears. It echoed through the mountains but it couldn't be too far away if the volume was any indication. Quickly she shoved everything back in her bag and looked at Branimir who crouched down so she could climb onto his back.
Once she was settled she grabbed two fistfuls of fur and urged Branimir to follow the sound. Some of the other trainers were already on their way there and she slowed Branimir down just a bit so they wouldn't trample anyone. As the warehouse came into view the woman's first thought was that it was an abandoned research station of some sort but she didn't have much time to think about it because another cry went off as they reached the door. She hung back out of the way as some of the other trainers got the door open and rushed in but she was quick to follow once the initial crowd had pushed through.
Inside the warehouse she blinked trying to adjust to the light difference. After a few moments her eyes acclimated and she surveyed her surroundings. A dirt floor, a lake, a hose that lead to a machine in the corner that was bottling water, and then she paused and gasped in awe. A Suicune! A real, living, breathing, Suicune. She could hardly believe her eyes. As a small child her mother had always told her stories of the legendary pokemon. Cadence had enjoyed the stories about Mew and Mewtwo, Jirachi, and Ho-oh and Lugia; but her absolute favorite was the one about the three legendary dog pokemon. She had always been amazed by their powers, their speed, their story. In particular she had felt very attached to Suicune. She imagined it to be a lonely beast, always searching for someone who would accept and understand it and treat it with the respect it deserved. She felt deep inside her heart that they were kindred spirits. Misfits, moving through the world alone and wishing for companions who would understand and welcome them. As awed as she was by the fact that she was in the vicinity of her all-time favorite legendary pokemon Cadence was called back to reality when she noticed the chains holding it captive and the rockets that were trying to sedate it.
She urged Branimir forward and the arcanine raced towards the bound pokemon. They stopped next to Cara and her arcanine Tiger. "Hey, how's it going over here? I can't believe Team Rocket would do something this low. Well, I can, sort of, but really? Using a suicune for a bottled water operation?! Aren't there easier ways to get clean water?!" Sliding down from Branimir's back Cadence slid her backpack onto the ground and rummaged through it for something she could use to pick the locks. Coming out with some bobby pins, her utility knife, and two metal kebab skewers she sighed. This was definitely going to take some work. "Branimir, help Tiger and the others with the chains, if any of the rockets get too close... roast them."Branimir nodded his understanding and went to work using aerial ace on the chains. It worked against steel type pokemon so it should be effective against some metal chains. During the process he kept an eye on the rockets that were milling around and one eye on his trainer, he didn't want to see her get hurt any more this trip she had been through enough. While he was working he decided to strike up a conversation with the Suicune. It's okay. We are all here to help you. We have come a long way because we heard your cries. My trainer Cadence has hardly managed to sleep since we first heard you calling out. Once we get you free from here do you think you might like to meet her? She is a very compassionate girl and she has always talked about meeting a Suicune. While Branimir was working on cutting through the chains Cadence was bent over a lock doing her best to pick it with the items at her disposal. Her bobby pins had bent and she had moved on to her skewers hoping that she could release the lock before they bent or broke too. In the midst of her work she was talking to the Suicune doing her best to reassure it that she was there to help. She had tried to help wild pokemon before and ended up worse for wear at the end of the encounter and she could only imagine what would happen if the Suicune perceived her as a threat. "It's alright now Suicune. We will get you out of here. We came all this way to see you after we heard you crying out. We won't leave here until you are free from Team Rocket. I've heard of some pretty bad things they've done but I never believed they would go this far. I'm so sorry you've been trapped here this long."
Cadence just kept talking trying to reassure the Suicune as well as herself that the situation would turn out alright. She smiled brightly when the lock she was working on clicked and released, she hurried to remove the chain from one of the Suicune's legs. "It's ok, I'm just going to slip this off of you, please stay calm until we can get the rest off." her voice was calm, steady, and reassuring and once the chain was on the ground she went to work on another and instead encountered one of the rockets who was trying to sedate the beast. Her eyes narrowed, she had had enough of these Rockets to last her a lifetime. Not even bothering to speak she raised a fist and punched the man in the stomach as hard as she could. She grabbed his syringe and emptied the sedative onto the ground, at least there was one more Rocket out of the way.
Seeing that quite a few others were working to free the Suicune she felt hope that they would succeed. They may have been through the wringer the last few days but when push came to shove many people had more left in them than they realized. Moving towards the front of the pokemon so she could look it in the eye Cadence reached into her coat pocket and withdrew her safari ball. "Suicune, I know you are used to being free, running unbound and untamed, but I thought maybe you could use a companion. Someone who will stay by your side when you need them and always look out for you. Once we free you from these chains you can leave here and continue life as you were, or, if you'd rather. You could join Brainimir and I and our other companions. We would love to have you with us but it is all up to you. I respect your right to choose your fate, no one, human or pokemon, should be forced to do anything they don't want to do." As she finished speaking Cadence set her safari ball down in front of the Suicune, gently stroked the side of it's face, and went back to work on the chains.Branimir saw and heard the exchange that Cadence had with the Suicune and he was anxious to see what the legendary pokemon would decide. He knew that Cadence was true to her word, she would never try to catch the Suicune. She would rather not have it than know she only had it because she had forced it into captivity. The woman speaks the truth, none of us were caught in the traditional sense. We chose to become her companions and let her capture us. You would still have a lot of freedom with Cadence, she would never make you do anything you didn't want to do. After speaking his piece Branimir quieted down and surveyed his work, He had managed to break two chains so far but there were still a few to go.((Holy Arceus! Almost 1500 words... totally didn't even realize that when I was writing it))

Sunny had been taking care of her wounded Duskull that when she heard the cry she quickly got up. It was the Sound that she had heard before she had set out on this crazy little trip not that she would have had gone even if she had known how crazy it would have turned out. Getting up Sunny ran to fallow the other trainers. She gasped as she saw the building she could already feel the darkness inside the building. Sunny clenched her teeth as she moved her way into the building were she saw the beutiful suicune seruounded by rockets. Her Anger rose, "DUNSKULL SHADOW BALL ALL OF THEM." she screamed as she Ran twords the wounded pokemon. Dunskull attacked the other Rockets distracting them as Sunny pulled out any of the Tranqullizers that were still in the majestic pokemon. "It is ok now I will not let them hurt you anymore." She said as she tried to stroke the pokemons mane though she was getting pushed away by the pokemon. She then went into her bag she thought she remembered having a lum berry her bag. At the the time that she had first seen it she thought it was odd but now it seemed to be the perfect thing for this situation. "Here eat this it will help you if you are feeling bad." The Suicune moved it head from the berry not trust Sunny that it was good for it and not posion. "Not going to trust me ok then..." sunny took the berry at took a small bite from it and showed that it was in her mouth and then she ate it infront of the suicune before offereing it back to the pokemon. The dog pokemon took it from her and ate it slowly watching sunny as she pulled out a lock pick set out of a side pouch she chose her tools with care and then started to work at the locks around the ankles. Suicune growled at her as it saw sunny take out the tools. "I am not going to hurt you I am just trying to undo these chains." she said as she rubbed the pokemons head behind the ears. before she went back to working on the chains. As she worked she talked to Suicune "You are very beutiful you know that? I think you will loook even better once you get out into the fresh air out side of this old building. " she had gotten two of the chains off. "See isn't that a lot better I bet your paws are feelling better. I know how it feels to be caught and not be able to do anything. It is always nice to have some one on your side." She Finialy got the last two "There you go." she could feel the pokemon nuzzling. "Do you want to come with me I could protect you." Sunny said as she offered a oran berry to the wounded pokemon.

Shaun was not a fighter, despite as much of it as he'd been doing today. So when they burst into the building to see a bunch of Rockets with a chained Suicune and an established operation, he did what he did best: take pictures. They could be useful to the police later, and he could possibly sell some to the press. Though he'd make sure to check with the police first to make sure that was ok with them, since he wouldn't want to get in trouble. Especially since at least one of them had his contact information now.
He whipped out his camera and started rapidly photographing everything in sight. The struggling Suicine with Rockets trying to sedate it was first, followed by the Rockets at the truck and bottling machine, trying to catch them all before they could leave. Then all the Rockets who'd been mixed with the trip and had come in with the travelers. After that, the bottling operation and building in general, in case they were destroyed before evidence could be collected. He made sure to use more than one camera, just in case the pictures on one got corrupted or damaged, or the camera lost or stolen. If there was any time to be extra sure that the photos would come out properly, this was it.

Clyde nodded, a cubone; not bad, and it was much better than coming back with nothing at all. The guys in the lab might want it. The alizarin-haired man looked up and soaked in what Fifi was saying, Fifi of all people! She was intelligent after all. The batting of her eyes made him slightly uncomfortable, but he was more than willing to admit that she was putting on a good act.
He had been thinking about publicity recently, good publicity in their favor. If they could do this right, it could be a good platform for their campaign. He nodded again, "Yeah if you can get the green light from ones of the other guys, then you're good to go," The Executive replied, slowly standing up.
The click of a camera was start to give him a headache, however - a camera? That wasn't good. He looked across the warehouse and spotted some boy with a camera. No good. If Fifi could successfully get the Suicune out and make it look like Team Rocket freed the thing or really had nothing to do with the whole water bottle operation, the pictures that boy was taking could ruin the whole thing. "I guess I'll take care of the kid with the camera then. Good luck," He said to Fifi and strode across the warehouse towards Shaun. Hades should be done by now, he could paralyze the kid and they could take his camera. Or cameras. If he was smart enough to start clicking away, he was probably smart enough to know they didn't want this event immortalized in photographs.

(continuing from this battle) Shaun had sent Salvo out defensively when the Rocket had advanced on him, but his Tropius was swiftly taken down by his opponent's Volcarona. Now there was nothing but his pokemon's inert bulk between himself and the Rocket with a large, angry pokemon. He clung to his cell phone in a white-knuckled grip, desperately looking around for anyone who might be able to help. Were any of the other trainers nearby? It seemed a slim hope that they weren't busy with problems of their own. He started to back away, feeling quite helpless and not knowing what else to do.

Clyde felt the tinniest bit of remorse about sicking Hades on the kid after he wiped out his Tropius. But he had to stuff down those feelings. This was for the glory of Team Rocket. He had earned his spot in the higher ranks, and he wasn't about to let some kid with a camera and a phone further blacken the name of Team Rocket. "Gimme the phone, and your camera, and whatever else you've got in your bag there with pictures on it, and I won't have to hurt you," Clyde glared at the kid with a fiery gaze. This day wasn't going how he pictured it. He didn't want trainers getting up the mountain, any of his team members hurt, didn't want to be reduced to bullying kids for their cameras.

Cadence had just finished picking another lock when she heard the commotion of a battle and something about cameras. Looking to the source she saw a trainer, she couldn't recall his name, and his tropius who had just been knocked unconscious. She also noted one of the rockets, a higher level one it seemed, and a volcanrola. Whatever was happening it wasn't good. That's when she noted the cell phone in the trainer's hand. There was no way he could have service this far up the mountain, so what was he doing? A moment later and it clicked, that was the man who had all the fancy camera equipment. He must've been taking pictures for evidence. She couldn't let anything happen to the man, not only because the evidence would be lost and the rockets responsible for this mess wouldn't be caught; but also because it was not in her nature to let someone who was innocent get hurt while she stood by watching.
"Branimir, let the others deal with the rest of the chains, we have work to do." she called and she started running towards the two. Branimir was right behind her. When she reached Shaun she stopped and Branimir moved to stand so he could intercept any attacks that may be aimed at the trainers.
"Get out of here, we aren't giving you the cameras. You all deserve to rot in a jail cell for what you've done to this Suicune!" Cadence was irate about the whole situation and she would gladly take out her anger on this rocket if he was so bold as to push the issue.((Yay, Cadence and her arcanine to the rescue?))

Keria shot up as she heard the cry of the pokemon again. Grabbing voltron for the nth time she ran off to find the source of the noise. arriving at what appeared to be an abandoned building she slowed down and entered caussouly. She was filled with horror when she saw the Suicune in chains and people milling around trying to sedate it. She started to rush towards it when she felt and heard a thud. Turning she noticed Shaun's Tropius had fainted and a Rocket seemed to be going towards him She wasn't sure who she should help, the legendary or Shaun. Seeing that a bunch of trainers had made their way over the the pokemon and where freeing its of its chains she tried to get closer to Shaun.

Shaun eyed the Volcarona nervously, considering running as a last-ditch attempt to get away from the Rocket and save his stuff. But he didn't think he could get away without recalling Salvo first, and he refused to leave his pokemon behind. The choice was taken away when someone he wasn't too familiar with ran up to him, and her Arcanine put himself between them and the Rockets. Thankfully, her words made it quite obvious that she was on his side. Taking the chance, Shaun recalled Salvo and tucked away the pokeball. That was one less thing on his mind. But the Volcarona was tough. Could the Arcanine defend against it well enough?

Keria managed to push her way though the crowed and get a clear line of site to Shaun. "Hey!" She called Hoping to distract the rocket long enough for shaun to ger away. Voltron's tail twitched angrily and the little pokemon had to keep himself from accidentally hurting keria with his electricity, He would not let the villein win! The arcanine seemed to have the volcrona for now so he awaited keria's command.

Wow, these trainers were persistant little buggers. Clyde smirked at the one girl's remark; they wouldn't give him the camera, "Don't worry, I'll just take them," He lunged at Shaun, pushing him to the ground, and willing to punch him to make this easier if need be. "Hades, use Fire Spin to trap those trainers and their pokemon. Fight them and paralyze the humans if need be," He said in between his struggle for the cameras.
The Executive made a grab for the phone in the boy's hand first, as that was easiest to reach. Or maybe his bag would be. He couldn't see any of the other cameras on his person, so while trying to distract the boy by grabbing at his phone, he attempted to remove the bag from his person. Hopefully one of the other Rockets in the area would give him a hand...
