Rhiannon smirked.
"That's more like it." She said, and she let him fall back onto the bed.
She'd never forget that night and neither would he.
"Well, goodnight." She said, eyes glinting maliciously. Fionna must've been seriously knocked out if she had slept through this whole entire ordeal. Still she looked asleep, so Rhiannon didn't care. Even if she had heard, now she'd know a bit more about Lucas and could dwell on that. Lucas obviously had only told her he was a werewolf, perhaps he or the Headmaster had just told her how he saw his friends ripped apart. No gruesome details, huh? Well that's no fun. They made the story the most memorable, didn't they. Anyways, as she shut the door closed, she smiled a bit to herself. Something good would come of this, right? Hey, this was pretty darn nice for her.
She walked back down into the dungeons to her common room, yawning. She could use some sleep herself.

Fionna awoken when Lucas made a major shift when somebody entered the great hall. For some reason though she feigned sleeping not wanting to invade upon this moment. She realized it was Rhi and wanted to let Lucas handle it himself. It was easy to fake since she was still half asleep. Most of what was said confused her and she didn't realize most of what was going on until it was over.
Before anything could even really be realized and thought of, Lucas was laying back down, Rhi was gone, and Fionna had fallen into a slumber again next to Lucas. Some images of what had been said snuck their way into her dreams but she couldn't place the thoughts.
Morning came and Fionna slowly rose to consciousness. She sat up and rubbed her eyes confused for a moment before recalling yesterday and all the events. Including the early morning visitor. Now was not the time to think about that though for her stirring was sure to have woken up Lucas. "Morning Lucas." She said as she watched his eyes flutter open. "Feeling better this morning?" She asked hoping most of the cold had finally been replaced by warmth.

Lucas was already awake, he's barely slept. Too many images were swirling in his mind right now.
"Yeah...better." He said to Fionna, staring off into space a bit. He looked down at her after a moment and smiled, kissed her forehead and tried to act normally. He was still a bit cold, but not too much. Just like he'd just come inside from the snow, not anything too major. So yes, he was feeling better in that regard.
But emotionally right now, he wasn't doing too well. He was distracted and feeling a bit light-headed. All he could think about was that night. Why did she have to describe it so vividly? His friends...all gone...all attacked... He'd gotten over this ages ago, but the way it felt right now- it was like it had happened all over again. He'd woken up a few hours after Rhiannon came with wet cheeks whispering, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. And he hadn't fallen asleep since then. It was all his fault...why didn't he stop them...they were so foolish...he was so stupid..

Fionna smiled and kissed Lucas back on the nose. "That's good! Though I was hoping to snuggle with you all day to keep you warm." She said the last part only slightly joking. Fionna was glad Lucas was fine and that nothing was going to be permanent.
Her thoughts then crossed to Christmas. Realizing she hadn't sent letters home like she had promised she wasn't sure if she was staying at the castle or going back home for break. "So what are you doing for Christmas? Going home or staying at the castle?" She asked Lucas thinking if he was staying she might stay as well or invite him over since she really wanted to spend Christmas with him.
His gifts were almost all done she just had to work out a few more kinks and wrap them up. A smile played on her lips as she thought about it. She sure hoped he would enjoy this Christmas. She couldn't help but wonder what holidays had been like at his home.

Lucas closed his eyes for a moment as Fionna's train of thought changed. He still just couldn't quite get over what Rhiannon had said, his mind was spinning and he was even sweating a bit. He would be covered in a feverish-cold sweat if he hadn't gotten frostbite, he was sure of it. THen she asked the question he wasn't quite sure how to answer, and his eyes flickered open.
"I think my parents want me to go home...but fullmoon's right before we return to school...if you want..." He spoke slow, a bit hesitant. He wasn't sure of what Fionna would say. "...maybe you can come visit for a day or two...or three." He grinned weakly. "Don't think I can handle them one my own" He laughed, but it was a bit grimly, because it was the truth. He already knew his parents were not about to get him anything for Christmas, he knew he'd be treated the same as ever, a muzzle, begging...everything, the whole bit, and there was bound to be new rules enforced. He didn't want to be at home without anyone anymore, he had hated it, and now that he'd had a taste of what freedom was like, he wanted to keep a small part of it.

Fionna's face fell when Lucas mentioned that his family wanted him home for break. Why'd they have to go and ruin all of her plans and make it impossible for them to be together on Christmas. It just wasn't fair to them.
Her eyes then lit up at the mention of her coming to visit. "I'd love to! I really want to spend Christmas with you though Lucas." She said hoping that would be possible. The full moon was more than three days away from Christmas. Maybe she would have to choose. If she had to it would definitely be the full moon. She couldn't leave him alone again. Not after what just happened.
Then she thought about meeting his parents and sister. What would they think of her? Would they think of her as some tramp or somebody not worthy to be with Lucas? She then remembered the letter he had gotten back after writing to his parents. No, they would probably think her an idiot for being in love with a werewolf, but what did she care what others thought.

Lucas smiled a bit at the look of nervousness he saw on Fionna's face. She seemed to be thinking hard after what she said, and Lucas knew she was wondering about what her visit would be like. Well, he knew she'd see things that were inhumane, that she never wanted or expected. Probably. If his parents behaved normally, at least. He could remember one christmas they bought him a leash and his sister dragged him around the house in it. He was about 12. Of course, it had snagged on a chair and tightened, and they laughed at him squirming around, pulling the thing off. In the end, he grabbed the scissors they had been using to cut open larger presents that were mercifully close, and cut the leash. His father beat him within and inch f his life for 'ruining a perfectly good leash that had cost them at least ten perfectly good sickles.'
"I'm sure they'll like you. Positive." He said. It wasn't a lie, they would. They reserved so much hatred, took out so much anger on him, that they couldn't possibly have any left.

██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ "Did I just hear someone say 'positive and NOT refer to me first?" A girly British accent echoed through the room. She had heard the voice from outside. She wasn't sure whose voice it was...her ears still had water in them from the bath in the perfect's bathroom she had previously taken. Oh how she loved the perfect's bathroom! It was much better then those other bathrooms around Hogwarts and the one that Myrtle haunted. The brunette still hadn't forgiven the sadist ghost for almost ruining a pair of her new Mary Janes by dropping them in the toilet. But thanks to the Headmistress her shoes were restored to their natural glory again. Rose was trying to find the headmistress. She needed to catch up on those damned healing lessons if she ever really wanted to start healing. Well, professional healing that is.
She burst through the door just as the clock struck the next hour and chroused cheerfully "Headmistress I am here for m-." Rose stopped and stared her mouth wide open in a perfect lipglossed o. There was Lucas...And Fionna....together....laying down in a hospital bed. Rose's first instinct was to spew profanity everywhere loudly and wonder what the bloody hell they were doing together in a bed. But then she realized. It was super cute. They looked adorable all snuggled up like that, though Lucas appeared a bit blue. She didn't mind.
Rose could not stop the flow of words from her mouth fast enough. " "Oh.M.Gee. WHAT IN MERLIN'S NAME ARE YOU TWO DOING?" She paused a a sweet smile came across her pretty face "YOU GUYS ARE SOOO CUTE TOGETHER!! <3. I just wanna pinch you cheeks..." She covered her mouth in confusion. God, now she sounded bipolar. Smooth move Rose. She hadn't meant to say all that. Her face was bright red and she put her hand to her cheek. She looked at the floor...She sounded like a grandmother. Pinch your cheeks? Really Rose? Of all the things that you could have said...you chose PINCH YOUR CHEEKS!? Wow...Pathetic. She looked back up at them trying to be less awkward. "Sorry to interrupt you guys,. Might you guys know where...uhmm...the Headmistress might be? " She said nervously playing with her perfect brown hair and running it through her fingers. ██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████
