Dylan felt pretty happy as he walked down the stairs with Maura. He knew that he would get it from Aleera and Casper, but that would be later. Suddenly he felt his hand grow cold. Flexing his fingers a few times, it took a while for Dylan's brain to register that Maura had let go of his hand. Looking at her, he smiled lightly. It was obvious she had gotten embarassed somehow. He noticed that her face was flushed with color, and her scent came to him in a hurry. Breathing deeply he smiled. He wondered just how long he was going to be abe to tempt fate.

Maura smiled as she bit her bottom lip. She pushed the thought of being stared at to the back of her mind and grabbed Dylan's hand again. She was willing to risk being teased later to just be with him tonight. Besides, he was her first boyfriend...and most boys thought of her as a freak.

Casper stared at Maxi as he bowed and extended the precious flower to him. It felt like someone had stolen his breath, an ironic fact considering somebody did, but it felt .. good. Like even without oxygen he could survive with Maxi. He couldn't though. Could he? A Vampire with a human? No, that'd never work. Would he be able to restrain himself form hurting what he loved? His heart stuttered a false beat, awakening something within him. Love. He loved Maxi. It seemed kinda silly, he didn't even know the kid, but it seemed as if it stayed with him from when he first met him. Maxi was so .. Intriguing. It's what propelled him to step in front of Maxi when that Jock decided to get his hands dirty. It's what caused his mouth to open now, threaten to reveal the secret he promised to keep for so long- NO! He couldn't. He wouldn't. Couldn't do that to Dylan or Aleera. But .. He could at least do this. At least tonight. Casper reached out for the delicate stem of the rose, but instead of holding it, his fingers curled around Maxi's hands.

Maxi's heart started to beat faster as he felt Casper's cold hand touch his. His bit his lip, failing in trying not to tremble. He was excited and scared at the same time. Flirting with a boy was nothing to him, but actually being able to have a boyfriend was new. His face turned pink as he looked up at the boy in front of him, a small smile played on his face. He didn't know what to do next, or what would even happen after this moment.

Casper could feel Maxi's hand tremble underneath his, but he didn't really have to be touching him to notice the shaking. The rapid pulse of his human heart was music to Casper's ears, and he gently nipped at his bottom lip to suppress his thoughts. He wouldn't focus on the blood flow, wouldn't focus on the tempting perfume of the gorgeous boy. Instead he'd focus on now, and the gorgeous boy standing in front of him, soft hand clasped underneath Casper's. Maxi looked up at him with the cutest blush the Vampire had ever seen, and the smile was mesmerizing. He felt a smile spreading across his own face in return. without realizing it Casper had stepped even closer to Maxi. His mouth suddenly went dry. What was it that was making him so nervous? "Maxi ... " He licked his lips and swallowed, trying to make his voice come out clearer. "C-can I .. kiss you?"

Maxi held in his breath as Casper came closer to him. To him, it seemed like they were the only ones in the house at the moment. Like time was standing still for them. Maxi let out his breath as the boy in front of him asked for a kiss. With the same small smile, and not being able to form words right now, Maxi nodded.

Had Casper imagined the nod? no, he didn't think so. Maxi's face still held that smile. Before he could lecture himself on what he was doing or what he could possibly do considering his species, Casper took another step forward. One hand still sharing the rose with Maxi's, and the two of them standing in the middle of the kitchen, Casper closed the remaining distance as he gingerly cupped Maxi's chin in his free hand and brought his lips to his.

Maxi's trembling stopped as soon as their lips met. He still couldn't believe that this was happening, especially on his birthday. What a great present. He thought as his eyes closed as he made the brave move to deepen the kiss.

So this is what it was like to kiss a boy! Casper had never experimented with the masculine gender, only thought about it from time to time. Waiting all those years for this one moment .. Was completely worth it. and oh! Maxi deepened the kiss to Casper's great satisfaction. Just as he had imagined, this very moment intoxicated him beyond a legal measure. Maxi's very essence was overwhelming him and he was afraid to lose control. Reluctantly Casper broke the kiss, but he didn't dare step back. He held his breath as he tried to regain control within his raging thoughts. Which was very difficult seeing as how every other word was Maxi. The Vampire laughed softly as he tilted his head to look at their entwined hands. "The Rose is very beautiful. Thank you." and so are you. He stopped himself from saying that out loud. It was too dangerous to get involved. What was he talking about?! He just kissed him! obviously it was too late to turn back now. Aleera was going to be furious. But you know what? Casper didn't care at the moment. He stood up straight and forced himself to look at Maxi. "So .. " He gave him the infamous wicked grin. "If I were to ask you if you'd like to be my boyfriend, any chance you'd grace me with a 'yes'?"

 Aleera didn't trust these human relationships that were forming... even the one that had been forming between her and Sam. He tempted her... in both human and vampire desires. She turned back to Mysti and nodded, "I'm fine... no worries." She had a sick feeling in her stomach... she had a horrible feeling about how this would all turn out.
Alex smiled into the kiss, allowing himself to melt as well. She would forever remain his, no matter what... and he would make sure of that. He knew they were both very... jealous creatures... most vampires were. With vampire blood came strength and speed, but it also came with aggression and jealousy. He would try his best not to make her jealous, but he feed in a certain way and he wasn't about to change that... he was hungry, since he had shared basically every meal with someone... he hoped this one would be all his. He pulled her in a little closer, biting her lip playfully before they released. He smiled at her, "Anytime, my love... thank you..." He took her hand and gave it squeeze before heading to the party.
Kristi smiled up at Sam and nodded... she stood and rushed through the door and to her bike. She might be staying over night after the party, but she didn't know. She put her helmet on and waited for him before she took off.(sorry I haven't posted! I'm back... and we need more boys, since two girls well be left out of the love feast. Unless we change their information to bi instead of straight)

Mysti nodded slowly. Aleera didn't look alright, but if there was anything her hippie parents had taught her, it was that no one was ever alright. And if they were, they were just very clever on how to hide what was wrong. Deep words for such isolated beings. She looked back up the stairs where Maura and Dylan were holding hands and she grinned again, spinning in a circle so her sparkles dazzled in the light as they fall in rainbow waves. "Let's get this party started!!! Where is everyone?"
[ Those two girls can go on a wild rampage of jealousy and kill everyone at the party. xDDD fun fun fun!!!! ]
Kristan knew exactly what that night had in store for them. Hopefully, she'd be so drunk off Maura's blood she wouldn't notice him feeding. She was predatory even as a human, being a Vampire only made it worse. What was her territory was her territory, which is why she had come back for Casper. A menacing snarl grew in her throat as her thoughts wandered, but she choked it back and hoped Alex hadn't heard a thing as she smiled back at his retreating figure. "Let's party hard Cherie!" Kristan spun in her revealing outfit as she danced from tree limb to tree limb. finally she jumped off the tree and landed gracefully on the cement below. The killer smile of a lioness spread hungrily across her lips as she stared down the house of the birthday cousins.

Aleera smiled at Mysti, she was trying to make the party funner for everyone... at least she was sweet and trying. She decided to try and help... before she could get to Mysti, she closed her eyes... she could smell them... Kristan and Alex. Great... they were here. She had a feeling Casper and Dylan were busy and they would protect Maxi and Maura... so Aleera would probably have three to protect... Kristi, Sam, and Mysti... She smiled, even though she was on the defensive in her mind. So Aleera has to be the mature vampire didn't fall in with love and such.
Alex looked at Kristan and hoped he be too busy to notice her flirting with a boy... or girl, to get their blood. His hand curled into tights fists at the thought of her with another... He knew she'd get jealous... and he knew that he'd get jealous... hopefully they'd get over it. She was too important to him now to lose her, like he did the last time. He calmed himself and smiled back at her. "The night is young my love... party hard and feast well." He chuckled and then watched her jump and ran after her, stopping right beside her. He examined the house and smiled... he could smell their blood from here. He was going to calm this Sam at some point, but his attention was also on Mysti... He made the first move and started to walk towards the house.

((I'm glad your back and well. I didn't know you were sick until sunday when Shawn told me =/ I was worried.
oh, I'm currently caught in a wave of anxiety after reading a really good book, which is in a series. Summer can't come soon enough to end my wait for the fourth book. I'm going to go crazy. The series is called The Immortals By Allison Noel. The first book is called Evermore, the second is Blue Moon, and I literally just finished the third one about fifteen minutes ago called Shaldowlands...now i have to wait for the fourth, Dark Flame))
After Casper ended the kiss, Maxi felt a bit disappointed that it ended so soon. Though, when Casper began asking if he would consider dating the boy infront of him, Maxi felt like he could have fainted. Blushing deeply and spreading his usualy sexy grin at to the boy in front of him, Maxi felt like lunging at him with another kiss. But instead he stood his ground and gazed at their touching hands and the rose. There was no way he was going to deny Casper of his request. Looking up slowly, his grin fading to a shy smile, the boy nodded, hoping that he would be rewarded with another kiss so wonderfulas their previous first kiss.

Sam jumped on his bike and headed after her. As they reached the party he parked in front of the house. He headed for the door, presents in hand. He looked at his watch, man were they late!

Kristi hurried, they were late... on their best friends' birthday! They were soon there and she noticed Kristan and the handsome Alex were coming too... she bit her lip as she turned away. She rang the doorbell, holding her gifts in hand.
(yeah, I'm alright now... I think. I'm still have pains in my lower abdomen, that's what my mom calls it. I got sick on Thursday and Monday was the first time I truly got out of bed and outside since Wednesday XD oh wow, I'd read it, but I have to read these certain book for my teacher. He's got us reading 500 pages a week at least and I'm going insane XD)
