MysticfawN dA fUnKy mOnKeY Also i had the same tummy troubles the best thing i found was gatorade or propel water and saltines. I lived on em for months xD but hey it's worth it not to feel so icky. Hope it helps. Oh yeah duh i just remebered if you take vernors ginger ale and cut it with cranberry juice it's an awesome tummy fixer and good for the urinary tract! (the cranberry juice takes the bite out of the gingerale too. I know sometimes GA is so strong drinking it can make you feel worse.) I used to drink Propel water all the time until I got pregnant, and then it made me sick. I haven't bought it again since, although I should see if I can get back into it again! I especially liked the Melon flavor.. dA fUnKy mOnKeY MysticfawN kmaritza I miss getting to take ibuprofen. Yeah, I totally needed ibuprofen for headaches and when I got the flu and ached all over! What a pain not being able to take it! Agreed and plain strength tylenol doesn't touch that pain. Exactly! Tylenol doesn't help me at all for anything but fevers.. neutral Same here. And i'm allergic to ALL narcotics. I had a hard time with the spinal and epidural i was miserable and itchy and had to be monitored. Even novacane (sp?) at the doctors office makes me sick (ie puking the rest of the day, itching ect). Tylenol barely even touches my fevers i usually turn to IB for that. Advil rocks xD I still drink propel. My life is gogogo. Half the time i forget to eat or drink so i keep em in the trunk so i atleast stay hydrated if nothing else. stressed

RaiRai Junior has started kicking my ribs!
xd
Just over 9 weeks to go.
3nodding
I had my baby shower on Sunday. Very overwhelming, so tired. I got to hold a little girl who was only a month old. She fell asleep on my chest, gave her mom a break for a while! And there was an adorable little boy who seemed to like me, so that was nice. Your getting so close. Hopeful the gifts were good enough to offset the ...for lack of better word misery. lol.

Haha, every time I've gone to a baby shower, that was one of the awful games they played, I always got out of it because of my weak stomach though razz

dA fUnKy mOnKeY valkyrie_lisa dA fUnKy mOnKeY If you spent a day here you'd understand @_@ They were both sick this weekend and i was never so happy to see Eric get on his bus as i was this morning. XD I bought them each a sippy that THEY picked out and 2 minutes into the hour car ride they started going at it. I swear i wish there was a way to get them to be nice to eachother. They were beating eachother up with fake tools too. The baby is the instigator. He'll stand all cute against something and when his brother walks by he lunges at him and takes him down or his new thing is to launch anything he can get his hands on in the car at his brother. Be it a bottle, shoe sock, he even tore the shade of the window >.o . People keep calling him Stewie from family guy. His new running nickname is Damien for obvious reasons. Seriously though, how do you disipline a 10 and a half month old! We've tried time out, removing him, distracting him, explaing it to him but he just giggles and goes right back to it. gonk The other day while attacking his brother he missed and somehow got his thumb on the entertainment center. Iheard it make a wierd noise and slide ..turns out he actually tore his fingernail. While i'm trying to clean it and his brother is trying to be nice and give him a hug he kicked him in the head. My mom just says welcome to sibling rivalry but i refuse to believe that they CANT get along. I'm tellin ya i'm at my witt's end. >.>;; sorry i prolly shoulda posted this somewhere else but not sure where. Wow, it sounds like you're having some real trials with the young one. I wish I had some worth-while advice (you know, besides tying him up twisted ). We figured out why he has so much anger and frustration. I posted it in the main forum under my thread "moms and parents ect of special kids" or something of those lines. But the jist of it is that he may have cp. He's angry and frustrated because his brother can run and do stuff but he can't crawl/cruise without his right arm and leg spasming and sending him falling onto his head sweatdrop So when he see's his brother or us moving so freely he gets upset. plus there may be an "spectrum disorder" in play which the aggression seems to fit. I'm not sure why i was so suprosed since it all runs heavy in our family but sadly anymore babies for me is a big no. I'm a carrier so it will repeat in all my kids. And yes tieing him up has crossed our minds xd Oh my gosh. I'm really sorry to hear that. Well, at least you know what's going on now. Can they treat cp and spectrum disorder in someone so young?

There is no treatment persay. Just lots of therapy and hope for the best. We start evals on the 20th.

Hmmm.. no, I don't think there are any non-humilating baby shower games. I try to avoid baby showers in general though razz

I had three baby showers with Zoe-two when I was pregnant and one after she was born. We didn't play games at any of them which was really nice. They were couples showers where we just ate, opened gifts, and talked to our friends.

eek We did games at my shower and none of them were humiliating for me. We were thinking about measuring my belly and having people guess the measurement but that was the worst one. We did word games mostly--word scrambles, baby animal names, and then the 'baby' game where everyone started with one bracelet and if you said the word 'baby' and were caught, the other person would take your bracelet.
crying I really wanted a couples shower...maybe with number two in the near-ish future I can have one.

My sister and I hosted a couples shower for my cousin where we did play games. They were not humiliating though. One was a game where you wrote a baby related question on one side of an index card. Then the cards were mixed up and passed back out and everyone wrote the answers to their questions on the back of the cards. It didn't turn out very well because somehow most people ended up with their own card again.
The other game we played was fun though. We had a onesie design contest. we drew our designs on regular white paper and then the expectant parents picked their favorite design. My sister scanned in the winning design and cleaned it up and had it printed for them using cafepress.com

I only had one shower, but hearing all these games, I'm SO glad they didn't do any of that stuff. Just sat around chatting, lots of my favorite cake, and torturing me by taking my picture. xd I adored mine, but to be honest, I don't know much about how showers/weddings/traditional things are supposed to go. sweatdrop
