"Would you, Taicho?" Aislinn asked eagerly, very much the eager pup as she settled down by the fire. She drew her knees to her chest, wrapping her arms around her legs before looking back at Auri. She reached out and patted the ground beside her, indicating that he was free to sit down with her. She imagined he would like this story as much as she would, though he would likely look at it from a slightly more scientific standpoint than she.

All the same, she was fascinated by the origins of werewolves. She'd always enjoyed the old Irish folktales her parents had told her when she was young. They had told of fairy sidhes and witchcraft, and, as a little girl, she'd always been entranced. Now a story like this made her feel even more part of the Pack and even more part of a family she so missed.

"Of course we would like to hear it, Mother Evil." Kasen said not realizing how out of it he was since he was exhausted from constant change, so he just blurted out thoughts that he usually never bothered even uttering. But Kasen let anything slip by him so he simply sat at the fire throwing small sticks of dead wood and watched it crackle waiting to hear the origin of werewolves that made them, the Lycans.

The first one to respond showed no hostility towards him but rather acceptance. He was offered a piece of cooked me and gladly took it.

"Thank you."

He moved a bit closer to all feeling a bit comfortable and any potential tension he may have had with the situation was put aside as the Captain spoke. The Captain gave her approval and he began to head over the fire. Ash indicated for him to sit beside her and he calmly sat in the location she had previously patted. With legs now stretched out and a fire's warmth he felt at home here. He waited eagerly now for the story of their origins.

((Excuse the last tiny bit, your RPCs don't have to respond to that, but I felt it was important to put in. ^^ ))

Evil cleared her throat, getting comfortable. This story was long and often took awhile to tell. Then she began, her telepathic voice weaving a powerful tale.

In the beginning, there was only Darkness. A deep, choking nothingness that pervaded everywhere. No Life existed, just the nothing...

Then, one day, a spark appeared in the Darkness. It was small at first, tiny, but glowing with a fierce determination. The spark grew and grew until it began to take shape.

The Nothingness retreated, backing away from this new, bright thing that had invaded it's quietness.

There was a brilliant flash, and the Darkness was momentarily vanished by a white light.

When the glow of this tremendous flash had faded, things were different. There was mass in the Darkness now, little fragmentary rocks floating all about.

In the center of this newly created chaos, there stood a Being.

It was a brilliant she-wolf. She was absolutely magnificent, breathtaking in fact. She had long lustrous dark blue fur. Stars danced all around her, her paws, her coat, everywhere.

Her eyes were the stars themselves, glowing brightly. Around her neck, on an ornamental looking rope, hung a large golden bell, which chimed softly with her every movement. There were intricate shapes etched into her fur, varying in shape and hue of blue.

At first, she was content with this existence, molding the rock fragments into whatever she wished.

After and unknown period of time later, she realized that she had created a huge circular object.

She descended closer to this planet she had made, looking at it closley. It was completley barren, just rock.

At this she began to feel more lonely. So, scooping a piece of her heart out, she molded it into a shape much like herself, but different.

She created a male Wolf. he was handsome, with blood red fur. His eyes glowed with stars, as hers did, but his were blue. Small flames danced around him, and he had a long sword strapped to his side. He had a thick mane of fur along his neck and he was a stunning creature.

The she-wolf was overjoyed, christening him "Nushi" her lover. Nushi in turn, named her Blue, for her beautiful pelt. They loved each other deeply, beyond a level that mere mortals could comprehend.

Nushi was very strong willed, but always gentle and loving around his mate. He did not like the bits of rock that floated all about them, but began to love the barren planets Blue had made, because she loved them.

They decided one day to bring Life to these planets, to make this place less cold and lonely. They created a bright yellow Sun, which shined brightly and provided warmth and light.

They gently placed the planets around the newborn Sun, sending them into orbit around it.

On one planet, Earth, they called it, they formed oceans and shaped continents, filling it with lush plant life.

Then, they created creatures modeled after them.

Wolves, in fact.

They were abundant and happy, living there lives under the guidance of Blue and Nushi. They lived for many years like this.

Then, one day, the Wolves began to wish for creatures other than themselves, and they begged their creators to make more new life.

Blue and Nushi agreed, making Man. In the beginning of their lives, Man was clumsy and dumb. The Wolves looked after them, helping them grow and gain intelligence.

But Man, grew cunning, and began to dislike the Wolves. They resented the fact that the Wolves were created first.

One day, a group of them snuck into Blue's and Nushi's home as they slept. They stole Blue's Golden Bell, which had given Life to Man.

With it, the fled from their home, ringing the Bell loudly. From it issued all manner of beasts, sending the Earth into chaos.

The beasts attacked one another, causing a bloodbath, and made a great fire and danced around it, joyous that they had deceived the Wolves.

Blue and Nushi looked on with dismay as their world was put into choas by the folly of Man. They descended to Earth, determined to destroy Man. They struck down many Men, until the Wolves begged them to stop, asking for the gods to forgive them.

They did, but the damage the beasts had done to the Earth couldn't be undone, so Blue and Nushi conceived an order with which all the creatures would live.

They brought Man and Wolf together, hoping to stop this jealously by combining a few of the two; thus, they created the Werewolf, a creature that could go in either form.

For some time this contented Man, and they lived in coexistence for a long time. But, once again, Man became jealous of this new breed, and they sought to destroy them.

This is how it's been up until the present day, where the Werewolves number dwindle, and all are dead in the Mortal World. Now, Evil is the only true Werewolf left, with various fledglings come from her, and other Werewolf type creatures have arisen. But, in truth, the species is practically extinct, and Evil mourns their loss every day of her life.

Kinsetsu sat attentively through it all. The beginning of the story quickly sparked something within him. Before true existence their was perceived to be nothing but in reality he knew there was something. His research tied directly with this component of the story. He with his hidden lab would demonstrate that despite appearances of nothing their is existence. Particles are the foundation of each existence and through specific movements, transfers of energies they can become actual beings or objects.

It was quite eary to think that the story actually tied so greatly with his research, It would impact it greatly and he wondered if the she-wolf was a particle manipulist. He would soon himself be doing such manipulations and creating stuff but he would keep this too himself otherwise he may be villified for the perceived attempt to be a god. He was not doing this research to become a god but to demonstrate the unity bond that everyone shared inherently. We all come from the same source!

"I'm quite saddened by the nature of mankind. I am glad you shared this story with me as it will prove of great importance for my current project. Hopefully throught it I can stop the hatred that breeds through our perceived differences."

Yes he would do this and he would demonstrate we all really are the same. Soon everyone would see with more clarity.

Evil gave herself a little shake, dispelling the effect the story always had on her. It is an old story. I was told it when I was just a pup and now I'm telling it to you. I just don't want it to be lost to the passage of time... She said softly. Now though, she knew how their kind had really come into existence, but the story still comforted her in a nostalgic sort of way. At the moment she really didn't want to tell them what had really happened, because she could still see that the story still held them in it's magic. She smiled, glad she could share it with them.

Kasen smiled a bit at the story and wondered something that humans say about the werewolves that puzzled him now that this story was told to him. "Evil-taicho, you are a wonderful storyteller.." He answered his thoughts with another as he watched the flames dance as he could watch the story within the flames which were said to be a gift from the Creator to its creations. "So what ever happen to Blue and Nushi after the extinction of your kind?" Kasen asked as Evil knew as well as them, they were only half werewolves, evolved from modern day humans into what some people call, Lycans.

Aislinn had rested the side of her head on one knee, eyes closed as she let Evil's voice wash through her. It was a fascinating story, made all the more powerful by Evil's telepathic rumble. That Man had been created by Wolves and then turned on their creators-- such myths may have been apocrypha, but the theme of disastrous rebellion was an interesting one. Objectively, it could be seen as a warning to follow providence and religion while it discouraging questions and self-discovery. On the other hand, it was a lesson in love-- to love those you've born despite their transgressions.

Ash could hear sorrow ringing in Evil's tones as she concluded the story and, for the first time, she got a sense of just how lonely her captain was. She was the last of her kind. The werewolf breed was all but extinct save for those to whom Evil granted her blood. She could see more clearly how much Evil treasured the Pack and, like a mother, loved her band of misfit children. It made Ash proud to carry that blood in her veins and call herself Pack.

Going by instinct, Ash phased into her lycan form, rose and shook out her glossy fur. Padding over to Evil's dark form, she pressed up against her side like a small silvery shadow, riffling her nose through the fur at Evil's neck as a small gesture of comfort. She wasn't sure how keen Evil was to talk about the extinction of her kind and, though Kasen's words stemmed not from a desire to wound but from curiosity, there was no telling how their captain would take them.

Well color me very impressed, she thought to her Alpha. Sure can spin a tale, can't ya? Given me goosebumps, you 'ave,

(There's nothing sexual in this gesture, of course XD)

Kinsetsu watched as Kasen posed the question he may have asked. As a recent acquaintance he did not wish to pursue further such a disturbing topic but was glad someone else had brought forth the question. He watched the scene unfold awaiting what would come next. How would Evil respond to the question? He wasn't sure.

A certainty that came forth from this story was his need to begin his facility now. He knew his intentioned discovery would cause quite the uproar but also present the clear view of the balance within the universe. Possibly he could mention certain details to Evil in order for her to understand all is not lost. He would wait for the right moment though if he chose to take this action.

((Of course. ^^ Wolves like to rub against each other, it's a Pack thing. ))

Evil's nose twitched a little bit, her eyes still looking a little sad. When Ash came up to her and rubbed against her comfortingly. She tilted her head down a little bit and rubbed her back for a moment, showing she appreciated her consideration. She cleared her throat, though she didn't really need to since she didn't use it to speak in this form. Old habits die hard she supposed.

Blue and Nushi went back to the stars. They wander there to this day, looking down on the humans as well. Though their presence isn't acknowledged, they're there. She said automatically. She had asked practically the same thing when she was younger, although her Pack was still alive then. Her parents had said they watched over them and the humans as well.

Kasen smiled as he stood up from the flames and threw in an arrow that had a concentrate of his reiatsu that will fuel the fire until someone grabs the arrow and it will simply vanish. The story had made him quite happy, for he felt Evil hadn't shared this with anyone since there was nobody to share, but hopefully this pack that she created, half-human though, will be her family."I wish I could say something, but it seems my time to be conscious is gone." Kasen said as he sat at the base of a tree and fell unconscious from the day's activities and he needed to dream for a while.

Fire scorned the area that appeared to be trees, or what used to be tree's that were fueling the destruction that somehow caused this disaster. A large wolf lied on the ground with wounds surrounding herself, the bell on her necklace didn't move as the pure werewolf was met by a shadow. Kasen stood above her as he knelt down and said ,"You think you're so great, you're pride left you without your body, but left those you wished to protect safe..."

Ash looked at Kasen and ran at him with her teeth bared at him as she struck his left arm as he was in human form, stripped of powers given from Evil as she lied at his feet, but without a devious strike as she pierce his right leg's tendon. "You are a traitor!" Kasen
looked at them with a dark stare as he laughed.

Kasen woke up from that nightmare as he looked to see the others still by the fire. "What was that?" he whispered as he knew Evil could sense people's emotions as she knew what was wrong with her pack, plus he knew if he ever went sad, he would experience creepy and strange effects. "Evil-sama?..." Kasen asked scared.

Evil's nose twitched when Kasen passed out and then awoke again. His body gave off a fear scent. This worried her, so she stood and padded over to him, sniffing him over. She looked confused. Did you overexert yourself? She asked, wondering if he was sick. He didn't smell particularly sick to her...

Kinsetsu watched all this activity between them in silence. He was analyzing the shift in energies displayed by the particles they all possessed. He saw a calmness within them and also the actions by each displayed compassion, and respect towards each other. He figured it was his time to leave.

"I thank you all for your hospitality and hopefully this will not be our last encounter. I think its time for me to depart but Evil I'd like to possibly speak to you at some point in the Sereitei in due time."

He did not know how he should demonstrate his departure gesture as it was clear he would not be nuzzling them as they have done. He simply stood up raised a hand and gave a small wave as he began to turn around to exit the area.

Evil looked up briefly at Kinsetsu as he said his goodbyes. She nodded to him before she nuzzled Kasen, trying to calm him. She flicked her tail at Kinsetsu to wave goodbye in her own way. It was nice to see you. Just let me know when you need to talk. She said softly.
