Hawk_McKrakken I know. And I was addressing the fact that you found abjads (writing without vowels) dumb by countering it with the fact that I found syllabaries (writing with too damn many vowel sounds) much inferior. Where did you leave your comprehensive listening skills this morning, old boy? Sheesh. rolleyes (Sorry Eccentroclast, I must. Smite me if you will.) Not everyone has the same train of thought as you. Sheesh! rolleyes I'll tack it up to a lapse of self-centeredness. You made a comment about your dislike of syllbaries right after I was talking about the Greek alphabet, leading me to think that you were saying something related to that. If you wanted the context of what you were saying to be more clear, you shouldn't have quoted that part of what I was saying, since it had nothing to do with what you were talking about.

If you are a learner of Japanese and if you do not know what the word is in Japanese, you katakanize that word from your language (such as English...if I did not know what sleep was, I would say it suripu yet again, it can sound like slip)

OH MY GWAD! The worst one I just imagined!!!
You use the foreign language to cheat on tests or assignment. Like writing the stuff in your arm in Japanese, Chinese, Cyrillic and if people see it, you can say it is a tattoo.
Wow, the power of foreign languages...can be used for good and evil.
I'm so evil ninja

When you find yourself teaching a native speaker about their language. Actually, I only ever studied the basics of Arabic, so I'm not quite sure how that happened. sweatdrop
