I have exams too, but they're not immensely life-changing, so I'm going to slack off and get about 60% in Biology again cool

Dx I hate you. *pout*
Changing topic, and this'll be totally irrelevant by the end of tonight, but I really hope Diversity wins Britain;s Got Talent, even though Susan Boyle is the hot favourite. Maa... Liani, do you watch it?

Lol I can remember the stress of exams. xd Good thing that at fourth year university level I don't have to do many-it's mostly just research writing.
@Liani: I bet it's easy for you to slack off because you're in year 8 or 9 or something. B&B probably can't afford to slack off since her exams might be the most important she'll ever take.
@B&B: You were right. Diversity won, even though most of the attention was on Susan Boyle. She's like become an international superstar.

I had a feeling Diversity would get it, and I'm so happy for them. I think they deserved it, making three absolutely stunning and innovative dance routines. The fact they only had six days to get that last one so perfect is beyond me. I also love them as people; they're so likeable, the kids are really something, and the leader is really sweet and pure genius. Maa... I'm just pleased. (:
That said, I think Susan did good too. I think she could've done better - she looked really nervous and under pressure, and I'm glad she came second actually, because at least that takes some pressure off her shoulders, and she's still got a great career ahead of her, since she's basically established in the States. I think she was happy too, she lit up for stage after the result (showing her thighs... lol), whereas before, she looked so stressed, poor thing.
And no kidding about my exams... But I'm the Queen of Procrastination, yay...

Hmm. I don't actually watch TV that much, but I watched the semi-final. I didn't manage to catch the final, though, was Diversity the group of dancing people with that tiny kid in the middle?
There's been so much criticism of Susan Boyle in the newspapers that it's no wonder she's cracking from the stress... How on earth they snooped that much information from her I have no idea. The newspapers always have good ways of snooping.
But actually I feel really sorry for that 10 year old girl Holly... She broke down on stage and had to come back later. Seriously, what is her mother doing when she knows her daughter has shaky nerves? And the crowd didn't really do much to help either.

Yup, Diversity was the group of dancers ranging in all sizes, ages, etc., with those two kids at the front.
Apparently Susan Boyle's been taken to the Priory... ): Poor thing.
I sympathised with Hollie, but I also found her really annoying... I thought the audience were really supportive and I don't think there's any point blaming the show, the judges, her parents... At the end of the day, if it had been Hollie's choice - and she had to have at least some input - she would've done it. Anyway, I thought she was good, but she needs a few more years before her voice fully matures; the same for the other ten-year-old in the semis, Natalie Okri.
Personally I thought all the finalists were very good, with some talent. Two Grand were without a doubt the weakest, but they were good nonetheless.

Yeah... Hollie annoyed me too, when she was crying. But her mother annoyed me the most...
But when I first saw Hollie in the newspapers (before I'd seen her perform), she annoyed me so much. And then I saw her ballet thing and she annoyed me even more. When she was crying, she annoyed me, but I still felt sorry for her, because for god's sake she's only 10. But then she hit that really high note at the end of the song and she annoyed me so much I almost threw the TV out.
Yeah Susan's been taken by some mental hospital for stress and exhaustion. But when she was recieving her comments from the judges, she annoyed me too. What is she doing, some kind of sign-language? She didn't speak through the whole thing...
Actually I think that neither of their voices are that great... it's only because Hollie's small and Susan's ugly ¬.¬

Have any of you been following the French Open? Rafa got knocked out in the fourth round!! I guess the way is clear for Federer to win unopposed since Nadal was his only real nemesis.

@Liani: I was praying so hard for Hollie to get through her performance in the finals. It was really difficult to watch her cry the first time... Just made me feel really uncomfortable.
To be honest, Susan Boyle's not been acting the same way ever since the media started to run her over... I do believe Susan has a great voice, and with coaching she could be a very good professional singer. I don't think her talent is affected by her attractiveness (or lack of), but it's certainly helped to propel her into the world's spotlight. They say beauty usually does the trick... oh the irony. Anyway, I just wish people would leave her alone. It makes me sick to see and hear the reports about her now, because I feel so bad on her behalf.
Hollie, I think, got the sympathy vote. -_-;;
@Mini: I haven't followed it but I did notice your FB status. Who beat him? O:

I guess Nadal was playing really poorly or something and the other guy just happened to be playing at 110%.

I've never really enjoyed watching tennis... And I'm awful playing it too. If you asked me who my favourite tennis player is, I don't have one. I'm not particularly fond of any of them... don't know why.

@ B&B: You cannot be worse at tennis than me. I've had tennis lessons out of normal PE lessons for 3 years and I still can't serve. But it still does not beat my friend, who served from one side of the court, and it flew all the way over the court, over our school wall and into the road xD
Actually, I think tennis is quite fun, but watching tennis is just as boring as watching football. The only sports game I enjoy watching is snooker, if that can be counted as a sport.

I used to be hopeless at tennis but nowadays I can at least serve quite competently, although I still can't hit backhands at all. Also, I enjoy watching tennis on tv, since the action moves so fast and sometimes it's easy to fall into the habit of rooting for one player.
@Liani: You like watching people laying snooker? rofl rofl I didn't know you enjoyed seeing middle-aged men pushing cueballs around. blaugh

Oiiii, Mini, I like watching snooker too!!! P: I especially like to watch the Chinese ones. (;
The only sports I can do competently, Liani, are badminton and swimming, and I'm okay at netball, dodgeball and volleyball. I've never been much of a sportswoman, but badminton's fun. (:
I like watching football the most (i.e. soccer). (:
