Merlin shuddered when he arrived. He had only been in there a few seconds and his presence had already filled the room. She closed her eyes and covered her face with her hands and trembled, "Vincent." She replied, her voice shook and finally one emotion broke through all the rest and took precident, "YOU b*****d!" Was the next two loving words out of her mouth. That was accompanied by a flying lamp. She'd torn the plug from the wall and hurled it at him with frightening speed. Next came the alarm clock, then the bedside table, a few pillows and cushions followed....some shoes, a few with sharp stilleto heels. All the while she ranted at him in Gaelic.

Vincent, being the b*****d that he was, made his ways towards her, dodging the projectiles with slow and seemingly graceful movements until he was right infront of her and grabbed her wrists, his gaze burning into hers. He could have said anything, something kind, a plea for forgiveness or even his own angry diatribe, but he decided merely to stay silent and wait for her rampage to end with only the one said once again, "Merlin." his voice was firm yet gentle, nothing at al like the myths written about him from so long ago. Just a soft reply...Merlin...

Contact was the primary thing that stopped her mid sentence and caused her to inhale sharply, a deep gasp. She hadn't been aware she was crying until that moment, pink tears making tracks on pale skin. Only one with amazing night vision would have caught any of that detail, fortunately Vincent had just that. Merlin swayed in his grasp, pounding on his chest rather ineffectually, there was no force behind the blows that were as weak as a human woman's. Utter relief, tremendous relief, mind boggling relief finally slipped in, replacing her anger in one smooth transition. Her forhead thumped against his chest.
It stayed there while she sobbed her eyes out. In some distant part of her mind she realized that she was embarassing herself. She'd never display this level of emotion to anyone in the gang, not even Monaleth. She went to his door in her mind and pushed it open, her body finally just giving out, going boneless with exubrent joy, seeing that the room which she'd remodeled into a more modern version of itself, was lit up with myriads of candles. The connection was back, her other half was restored and it felt so good. She marveled that she'd even been able to survive while he was gone, marveled she could hold a whole gang together and assist in keeping the city from crumbling in on itself.
"I hate you." She finally said wetly, her voice muffled by his chest.

[Whoa...If I wasn't sitting right now...]
Vincent lowered his gaze for a moment before slowly embracing her, darkness literally embracing darkness. His hand slowly went from her waist to the middle of her back and down again lightly masaging her before his grip tightened almost possessively around her. His lips opened as if to reply, but they merely kissed the top of her head and gave his trademark grin.
His mind gingerly moved within the room and watched her, the candles even here never giving him a shadow. He was the darkness and there was no need for one here.

Moneko's disappearance triggered something in Ashra's mind, forcing him awaken a part of his mind he hadn't used in a long time. His mental image. Two golden eyes slowly opened as he slowly rose within his the plane of his mind and looked towards what could only be described as a see of Cords flowing into and through a large statue that looked oddly like older Ashra but with eight arms. His eyes were closed, but his hands were constantly in motion, one that was slow in the child Leader's mind, but in others it was mind blowingly fast.
A red thread flashed brghtly as he walked towards it followed by a pale blue cord which left the others and circled him in a eternal pattern that never tangled. He smirked as he recognized Quinn's cord, the lack of movement coming from the energy within only clarifying his thoughts. He touched the cord lightly and began to speak, "Quinn...I believe now would be te perfect time for you to experience what a Balancer must do. Go to the park and I shall 'meet' you there if you are ready."

Quinn had been resting inside the clock tower, meditating to clear his mind. He hoped that it would solve part of his confusion. For the most part it had failed, though. He had cleared his mind, and opened it to traveling the other realms. The new pathways brought on many thoughts and questions, and only a few answers. Then Ashra's voice echoed in his mind.
I will be in the park momentarily.
One thing had come out of such a short time meditating, however. Control. The ten-year-old child lifted himself from his seated, Lotus position and stepped on to the clock tower balcony. His gaze shifted to the park in question, or in the direction of it at the very least, and his body simply shimmered out of existence. When it reappeared, Quinn was standing alone in the park.
I am here, Ashra. What test do you have for me?

Milan watched as Ashra let out a deep sigh the faint tang of magic surrounfing him until all that as left was his body sleeping soundly. She closed her eyes and smiled slightly as she sensed where his mental self went. "Take good care of him Quinn..." she murmured not caring that she was speaking to about another 'child', "He's weaker than he says..."
Ashra slowly slipped inside Quinn's mind with the help of his Cord, "Interesting how you phrased that..." he replied looking at him in amusement, "It is not a test, more like a lesson. Yes...that is what it will be called for you can't teach yourself such a power like did. I'm special." for once he looked almost like a smug child at those words that either was a joke at his own expense or Quinn's.
Just as it came, the smugness disappeared and those golden eyes flashed, "First things first, you will have to learn how to summon Life's Flow own your own, but since that will take time, I will help you. Have you any experience in casting multiple spells with one breath? It is what you saw me do before, but now that I am here to help you, your spells will be slightly different." he slowly began to walk towards Quinn, his own golden cord slowly circling around him and twining itself around Quinn's, "This will be a form of possession you will have to be willing to give in to. It's the only way you will learn without a millenia of training and I don't have the patience or the time for that." his hand lifted and offered itself to Quinn, "Shall we begin?"

Physically, Merlin relaxed into the embrace, melting against him putting her almost as close as she could possibly get to him. Forget female independence, it felt so good having a man back in her life, her man back in her life. She turned her head sideways so she was tucked easily under his chin and began purring with enthusiasm.
Mentally, her image turned and she gave him a jubilant, but wet smile, "I missed you." That could have easily been nominated understatement of the century, "Welcome back." She added. She then looked away from him, sweeping her gaze around the room again, "I did a bit of spring cleaning....modernized it a bit....like it?"

Merlin smiled, "That was you, actually, when you came back they sort of just appeared." She glided over to him, turned him around and steered him out, closing the door, "Time to get you all caught up..." She came back to herself and lifted her head from her chest only to tilt her head to the side, sweeping her hair away, baring her neck. It was easier for her to shift the memories to him while he took blood since there were so many of them, "Brace yourself." She warned quietly.

"I always do." Vincent answered, his fangs slowly lengthening as he leaned slightly the side and pierced her neck. Not a drop of blood was spilled as he drank from her, his eyes closing as images came in flashes in his head. Most things involving the Ten he knew only because of what was said within the Lotus base through Moneko, but things that happened outside of the Lotus territory, the the incident with the Anullan brothers, he had no clue of.
After a few moments, he released Merlin and shook his head lightly as the information was sorted in his head, "Interesting..." he murmured as he took a few small steps backwards, stopping when he had reached what could have been a desk, "Very interesting indeed."

Merlin made a small mewling noise as his fangs punctured her neck. She hooked her hands up under his arms, grasping his shoulders, trying to keep her breathing even as she floated on a cloud of well being and pleasure. She sighed when he pulled back and nodded, "Mmm, that all?" She murmered. Letting hre arms slid down she grabbed the front of his shirt, "Now for part two of your catch up regimen." She lifted him effortlessly and proceeded to toss him on the bed, "And you're over dressed" She growled and pounced on him.

Some.....time later, they indulged in a little hiatus, Merlin nesteled against his side, pillowing her head on his shoulder, "You've grown rusty." She informed him, fiddling with a few strands of his hair, "Looks like you'll need a refresher course." She added wistfully.
The bed impressed slightly under a soft weight and Ossyrus appeared in in their field of vision, climbing up on Vincent's chest and settling there. Merlin laughed, "Only room enough for one of us." She gave him a little push. He gave a purring chirp and licked her hand then stood and stretched jumping off.
The other four soon joined them, greeting Vincent one by one before jumping off the bed to offer more privacy.

"Well I've been out of practice for only six millenia, but I'm sure Tyr couldn't have done better" Vincent answered with a chuckle.
An eyebrow arched slightly as Ossyrus settled on top of him,] and became a smirk as the others greeted him as well, "They are still here after all this time...how am I not surprised..." he muttered as he returned his gaze to enchanting female at his side, "Alot of things have remained the within this city. Perhaps that is the biggest surprise of all."

She chuckled, "I was wondering when you were going to comment on that. Hmm, he was rather delicious, I wish I could have had you both. That would have been phenomenal." She lifted herself up to nibble at his ear. She glanced back in the direction the cats had taken, "They've been keeping an eye on me for you." She replied and settled back down, "I'm a bit surprised myself. It has gotten increasingly exciting since the ten of you started awakening, I'm sure Aurora is happy, sopping up all that chaos. She's settled a bit, though, maybe she'll give Lotan less grief." She murmered.
