Trigram Attack "I'm usually not the one that digs them up," said Jude. "There are lots of little paws and claws that do that work for me. And when the owners of those paws and claws find out they can't eat that shiny green thing they dug up, they leave it laying around." A pensive pause. "Usually." Those finds were the long and messy stories he cared not to recount. "You basically rely on whatever wild life did their digging for whatever intention and you just scavenge after they're done. Am I reading into that right?" I asked. That seemed...well...off to me.

"Most of the time," said Jude, as though there were nothing wrong with it. "Sometimes I get a lead on more special shinies. Usually it's for a museum, trinkets with some historic significance, and in turn resident archaeologists will point me toward more esoteric finds that don't fit in a museum."
Now, he grinned a grin with the sort of mischief Tails would recognize. "And when it comes to adding to my collection, I don't mind shedding, well...anything, come to think of it."

Lykas sat out in the cave outside HQ, a small fire burning on the stone floor. It had taken some work to find a dry enough spot to make said fire but he had decided it was worth it. Odd sat beside him with Al across from the two. All three were enjoying s'mores.
"Life is good." Odd intoned before stuffing one of the gooey treats into his mouth.
Lykas laughed lightly at this as Al smiled at the two. He was right. Life was pretty good.

I also recognized that grin; a grin that forewarn trouble for the one grinning. "So, where do you plan to go exactly on this mountain?" I asked.

"I've never been around here, and I haven't had the opportunity to so much as scout," said Jude, and the grin faded behind his naturally pleasant demeanor. "If you're offering, I think I'd like a tour. Tails has offered, but whenever he's out here, it's au natural and he's not exactly modest."

"If you only knew Tails, you'd understand exactly why his demeanor is the way it is." I said to him. "It's a tale that's a little painful to tell. I sought out to kill someone because of it, actually, believe it or not, long story short. At any rate, this mountain region is not exactly a tourist spot. This place is loaded with very powerful Pokemon, ranging from Ursaring to Tyrannitar. I think it's pretty much the reason why Sub set a headquarters here, because I have to admit: I think someone would have to think twice to tread and search here."

"Yeech. I'm not gonna annoy papa bird for a story then," said Jude. He continued along, but glanced back to see if Blizz would follow. "But this place, it's no wonder I haven't come out, you know? I'm surprised Tails-boy gets along so well out here. He says he's got a Weavile partner around out here, but I've never seen it..."
One of his ears quirked. "But that means it's doing its job, nei?"

Incidentally, enough, that same Weavile tried to kill Tails when they first met, but now they are the best of friends as well as the best hunting partners." I said to him. I crossed my arms, and a thought came to mind, then gave a sigh. I may as well go with him for the time being. Last thing I need to find out is that a Steelix or something mauled him when he got his nose in somewhere he didn't need to have it. Not to mention, at last check, he didn't have really much of anything other than his wits to defend him. I went on to follow the Furret hybrid. "At this point, personally, it doesn't surprise me at all that Tails can adapt so well out here, despite there is quite a bit that can get the better of him."

"Hunting partners...I bet they still fight over the fatter Raticate," Jude mused. "The Faticate."
He giggled that fay giggle of his, and covered his mouth because it was poor form to laugh or even smile at such a terrible display of wordplay. Finally he shook his head and pressed on.
"I just hope he knows that discretion is the better part of valor. He really is an endearing kid, and he seems to charm everyone he meets. I bet that's all part of his master plan."

Jude shrugged. "He's a Vulpix. Vulpix are both cunning and keenly aware of just how adorable they are," he said. "I understand your training has been very effective with him, and that this Miles guy has also taught him some things, and I've heard our Dear Dark Leader has wanted to teach him the shenanigans of his people. Thus, it's only certain he's meant to take over the world."

Unless he done so without my knowing so, which if he does anything to make Tails even more of a wild child than he already is, I might ensure he never has children himself." I said. "It might sound like I'm a over protective, probably borderline obsessed parent, but well...eh...lets just say its been one serious crash course lesson and it makes me nervous if something goes awry. In fact I'm paranoid. I care too much for Tails." I then thought for a moment. "Then again, I'm probably more lax than opposed to 'normal' parents. Normal parents wouldn't allow their kids to roam a mountain range like this without them taking on the gyms and the Elite Four first, or for that matter, have said kid go out on dangerous, fate of the world missions either." I said.

"Or associate with known criminals," Night added, grinning as she appeared just behind Blizz, "Cause, you know. Most parents would wanna protect their kids from people such as myself."

"Oh, my," said Jude and subconsciously his tail wrapped around to his front. He knew that was not a threat against one person, but a promise to anyone. "Though, apart from all that serious stuff, you let him play with a, ah...very exuberant Muk. A Muk which he has tried to get me to meet."
He drew a tight breath through his teeth.
"It's one of the one of the biggest blobs of Muk I've seen."

"I was wondering when you were going to come out of hiding." I said, looking back at Night. "You've yet to hide from me yet, fox girl."
"At any rate, yea, that Muk is pretty...um...unique. I believe Tails somehow deliberately detoxed that Muk and now its more akin to a big mud blob. Sure it might still have its general purple coloration, but thats about all that's true anymore. I find it kind of astounding. Hell, I have to remind myself every now and then that its not truly a poison type anymore. Probably more akin to...something like...let me think...maybe a ground type? Water type? Both, like Quagsire or Swampert?" I suggested. "I'm also left to question myself; is that even healthy for a Muk? Oh I'm going on a whole exposition, aren't I? Sorry about that."
