Nina had explored the vast majority of the island, and in truth was rather bored of it. "There's nothing to do here!" she said to Anna and Angel. "I can't go in the gym because it's locked, there's ridiculously strong Pokemon in that burned-out building, and I don't have any fossils to give to that old coot in the research laboratory..." She let out a frustrated sigh. "Do you think Kilik would mind if I went back to the mainland?"
Angel tilted her head and gave Nina a look while Anna replied, "He may, Nina. After all, you both just got here awhile ago..." Anna had a somewhat unsure look on her face.
"Well... it won't be the first time that I''ll have abandoned my friends," she said, looking aside. Anna tilted her head a little. "Whatever you want to do," she said. Nina nodded.
"Let's see... who can I catch up with? Kilik is here with me, and Mitsu and Mike are in Hoenn..." She smiled a little as she took out her PokeNav. "I'll call Kasiya!" Angel wobbled back and forth and giggled as Anna replied, "Oh yes... Kasiya; we haven't seen her since Pokemon Tower."
Nina dialed Kasiya's number and awaited an answer.

Having arrived in Pallet town, the starting place of so many other trainers and researchers, Jenna headed at once to Professor Oaks' lab. The long low building lay near the center of town and was easy to find.
Entering through the double glass doors, she spoke to the receptionist and made a request to see Professor Oak.
'I'd like to speak to Professor Oak, please." Jenna said confidently. The receptionist looked up from her computer and smiled.
"Another trainer here for a pokedex I assume? We see so many of you nowadays, it's hard to keep track of you all!"
"Well, I'm not trying to become a trainer, actually." Jenna blushed a bit. "I'm going to travel and study a trainers's relationship with their pokemon, not just the pokemon themselves. I've worked for a long time at the Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town, and it seems to me that pokemon are much more than just a battle tool or even a pet." she finished in a rush ,excited to be talking about her quest. A deep man's voice spoke up from behind her.
"That's an interesting quest you've given yourself, miss."
Jenna whirled around in time to see Professor Oak smiling down at her, as usual, wearing is long white lab coat and his hair cut professionally short. She sketched a quick bow, caught off guard and flustered.
"My name is Jenna, sir. I hope it's not too much of a bother that I'm here to see you..." she trailed off as Professor Oak laughed.
"A bother? Oh no, Jenna, it's always the best part of my day when a young lady, or man for that matter, comes to see me and learn about Pokemon. Come into my office, I think I have a Pokedex for you, and perhaps, something else." He winked and went past the receptionist's desk and into his office, Jenna a few steps behind.

The trio finished their lunch and the Pokemon continued to play. "Maybe he didn't see it." She sighed.

Walking over to the front desk, still half asleep, Mike clawed at the table-top for a few seconds before Nurse Joy handed him Mitsu's note.
He sat down, leaning against the desk and read it, shaking his head to wake up a bit more. Then, a lightbulb went off, and he got up and walked over to Shiver, who was winning the fight between sleep and arousal.
"Shiver! Splash my face with water will ya? I need to wake up."
The doors of the Pokemon Center flew open as a wave of water propelled Mike out of the building. Sliding across the ground, Mike lied face down, not moving. The wave dissipated as if it was never there.
"SHIVERR!"

At that moment a large wave could be seen and a boy on top of it. "That must be Mike." Mitsu said with a chuckle. She got up walked over to him and stuck her hand out waiting to help him up, just like the first time they met.

"Eh rifroo" muffled Mike, still face down in the dirt. He looked up, covered in mud, and grabbing her hand. "Thanks...again." He said with a nervous laugh, scratching the backof his head.
Titanium had released itself from it's ball, and coiled itself around the two trainers, playfully growling.
Mike looked around at the Onix when it hit him. "Mitsu...I need to find a Metal Coat."

Wearing a strange expression on her face, Nina hung up her PokeNav. "That's strange," she said to Anna and Angel, "I didn't get an answer... Maybe she's on a train or something." She shrugged. "I'll try back later."
Nina thought for a moment and then said, "Hmm... I could always go to Pallet Town and get myself a Pokedex. It would be a fun challenge trying to catch every single Pokemon known to man..." A smile flashed on her face, and she dashed into the Pokemon Center, her Pokemon chasing her. She told Kilik where she was going to be, and gave him and Flareon a hug good-bye.
Going back outside, Nina boarded a train that was almost ready to leave. She found a seat away from the tiny crowd of people, and she looked out the window as the train started to depart.

Titanium colied around the two trainers. "Huh? I think the Rustboro store may have it." Mitsu replied. After a short pause she asked "Now how are we susposed to visit the store if Onix isn't going to let us out?" She laughed softly.

Mike grabbed Mitsu's hand, smiling, as Titanium lowered his head. He helped her up onto his head and hung onto his horn. He pointed to the Pokemart and said "Titanium, time to give you an upgrade!"
At that moment, the Onix charged off, racing towards the store, curious about what his master means,

As his two Pokemon finished eating, Kevin stood up.
"Ok guys, time to go" he said holding his arm out to Caterpie. "Come on up little guy" he added, seeing his new Pokemon's hesitant look. Caterpie slowly approched and climbed up Kevin's arm, resting on his shoulder.
"There we go. Come on Squirtle" Kevin said heading for the door.

She was on top on Onix's head before she knew it. She quickly returned all her Pokemon before they were too far along. Luckily she still had her pack with her. "So Mike who are you going to trade with?" she asked just incase he had someone other than her in mind.

"Hm..." He pondered. "I don't think that there is any reason for me to not trade with you, unless I remember anyone else I promised."
As he finished the sentance, Titanium stopped in front of the Pokemart, lowering his head slowly. Mike helped Mitsu off, carefully holding her hand the whole way down. He smiled to her as he let go, as he turned to go into the store, his face turned as read as a Voltorb.
