Raolain winced as Cookie shrieked in pain as the fire washed over her. She plummeted to the ground, smoke rising from her in thin wisps as she whimpered and writhed on the ground. As horrible as her sacrifice was, Raolain couldn't help but chuckle as the distracted chameleon attacked his fairy, apparently having forgotten about the sphere of fire that had streaked towards him...if he managed to dodge it this late, Raolain would give up his aspirations and go home...

Yes, finally... Oh, crap...
Spio cried out in pain inside Haytes mind as the sphere of fire collided with him, searing his body and charring his scales.
I can't believe I forgot about that thing. I thought it had dissipated...
Hayte asked his blackened partner.
Spio responded semi-hysterically.
"Well, I'm going to head on in and get some rest. Night, Kin." Sai said to his friend. He walked rest of the short distance back to his inn and entered the common room. Vilya and Damiano were right where he had left them. He walked to their table and sat down next to Damiano. "Hey, guys, I miss anything?" ((Alright, Raistlin, now I'm directly waiting on you. If you and/or Griffin don't have anything interesting planned then maybe we should all say our goodnights and get started on the morning.))

Raolain let out a long breath and let the fire sphere dissipate. He could feel his limbs trembling with the strain of so much spellcasting at once, but refused to lose to this simpleton outright. Cookie had fallen into the mud after the surprising blast of fire from the chameleons mouth.

"Care to give up yet Duhl? My little friend tells me shes got alot more left and won't stop till she burys her little blade in your creature's scaly head. I'd rather not have it go that far, but fairys are so hard to control..." Raolain grins, hoping his lips don't tremble too much to be noticed, he felt so tired...this fight had gone on much longer than he had anticipated.

Raolain heaved an inner sigh of relief, it wouldn't do to have let this one know how close to the ropes he was,"I suppose I'll let you go this once...its late after all." he bent to scoop up a whimpering Cookie into his hand," Next time though...well...I won't be holding back." without another word he turned and continued on his way towards the next town, grumbling under his breath.

"You're not 'letting' anyone go. If you want to continue this then let's get to it. Otherwise shut your trap and move on." Hayte said.
Spio said, a slight whine in his voice.
Hayte moved casually to his horse, which was still grazing a short ways off from the road. He was ever aware of the man in the black robes though, watching to see if he made some sort of move, listening to hear if he accepted the challenge.

Jania walked quickly to the room in the inn. Once in she collapsed on the bed and without turning to see if Raidek had even followed her she tore into him. "I don't know," she began in a slightly angered tone," Why you felt it was necessary to lie and I don't think I care but if you make me play the innocent friend instead of your master I swear to god I will make you wish they would have attacked, because they would have cause less damage." Jania never let her tone of voice waver it stayed at one low angered pulse.
"Get some sleep," She added in a soft mutter as she gave into her weariness and began drifting off to sleep. Still unaware if her apprentice had even heard her.

Raidek walked in behind Jania, shrugging off her angered tone to worn to respond, or even to argue. He moved to his bed and collapsed on it letting himself fall into a night of terrible dreaming.

((Yes..I suppose I owe all an apology. Hello to the new one. I hope to be very much more active from now on...or at least until my next exam period. ><' ))
Vilya had finished her food a while back and relaxed in a chair by the fire. Things in the inn had died down and she and Damiano were the only ones left.
Tura had gone to hunt and was due back any minute.
The door opened and Vilya looked over as Sai sat down.
"The innkeeper was telling stories for a bit," Then she frowned. "Did something happen?" she asked, "You've been gone a while."
Tura's voice echoed at the back of her mind.
"Raidek?" Vilya said out loud. "He's here?"
Tura peered through a small, open window by the fire place and Vilya held up the hilt of her scimitar, calling her companion back into the stone.
"I think I need to hear this."
((You really don't need to explain it all, I'll read the rest when get the chance, you can pack it in for the night, my next post will be the following morning.))

Sai regaled his friends with the tales of his adventures earlier that night, namely his meeting with Raidek and his friend. Afterward, tired from the day of traveling and other excitement, he went upstairs and removed his cloak, jacket, and boots, then he fell into bed and into a deep dreamless sleep.
((Next day everyone. If you hadn't finished up for the night you can post-post.))
