at my school, we don't really call each other flutists. we're just the flutie tooties kick our booties! sweatdrop started out with our old section leader from about 2 years ago. she was our momica!

GUY FLUTES ROCK! Sry. Just had to get that out. Yea I've been playing since fourth grade. That would be *counts on fingers* 5 years. Best middle school flute in the state!! I've got a used custom made gemienhardt (sp?). Its sad, I can't even spell the name of my flute. Umm. I also play bassoon.

I can play flute-in our band we are called Flute Loops. Its cause we are so hyper all the time. I play flute during concert season and percussion during marching season.

Well, I just got back from the concert and I've got good news and bad news: Good news, One of the outher flutests showed up and I was very muchly happy! 3nodding Bad News:I STILL messed up SO BAD!! gonk One place I accidently skipped a measure and got a bit lost, and another place I played (really loud!) while the clairanets had a solie!! And this was out last preformence of the year! crying

I can't imagine being in that position. ^^;;; I have a concert tonight and there's only 4 flutes in our jazz band xD Actually, we aren't supposed to even have flutes in jazz band, this is the first year they've allowed it. The only reason the flutes are there is cuz' we were supposed to switch over to saxes, but the BD never gave me one and the rest still suck at it. xD

RinoaHeartilly Miangel Hahaha... haha... I wish! We don't get out until June 21. >>;; I want out! XD But then I don't because then all my senior buddies are going to leave me! ;_; And besides, if it was June now, our Hawaii trip would be done! We're leaving on the 26th and we get back on the 31st. ^^ I'm SOOOO excited! really? We get out sometime the first week of June. xD people are already talking about Band Camp.It's crazy. I wish we had band camp! We have some, it's just not for our school. There's SMS (Summer Music School) and Burton Music Camp. Both are outside camps. I'm going to SMS, and I'm on the waiting list for Burton (and will probably get in, because I'm going on tenor and they need more tenors). I've been wanting to go to SMS since fifth grade, and now I finally can. It's cool.

hey, guys! sweatdrop sorry i haven't posted in a while... ive been busy with a bumping contest... and its being archived... majorly xp Gemeinhardt-there, taht's how you spell it... and uhhh... well, we tried out for section leader for marching band and i walked in the room when it was posted and i told everyone not to say anything and my friend, brooke (2nd chair) says "We made it! We made it!" and shook the marbles outta me... i was entrhalled of course.. and monday i sat second chair and pissed off a girl... i didn't mean to... she wanted to play first part on one of the songs, and she's not too hot so i said 'look, im first chair now, so i should be able to play it" she asks why not... i got so jumbled... so she said "Well, it sounds kinda weird that ur playing first and sitting first so lets switch" (she had sat in front of me by the way-irks me) i told her that we couldn't, that she had to go 2 chairs down... she got a bit upset... stressed i really don't want to hurt her feelings... this is our top band, too
Brooke and I talked to our BD and he said that he chose her last year because thre weren't enough flutes for the top band, so she's been there since... she doesn't take lessons and is not dedicated enough... but she's there... she sits 4th now... (from second... ouch*)
OO... i also got to play piccolo yesterday! my first time... it was great... im playing for MB but i have to get my own, the school's doesn't work well... hehe ^_^
okay, i talked enough... ^_^ razz
