☆ ☆【 As much as Fianna would’ve loved to go on about whatever surely hilarious shenanigans Daiki and Dakota had gotten up to, now was hardly the time or place to talk about such things. For one, they currently had a child among them and those stories were far from the most appropriate for little ones to hear. And for two… they had a much bigger issue to deal with, figuratively and literally as they finally came face to face with the titanic monstrosity that awaited them upon reaching the peak of the mountain. Dear Arceus… Absolutely no one should allow such an atrocity against nature to exist, even if it was in a dream world. Her eyes briefly locked onto the dark figure that hovered in the air above the abomination, well out of range of the fight but still able to issue commands to his monstrous minion. So they finally found Darkrai, and here he was hiding like a coward and letting this… thing do all the dirty work for him. Seems that they would have to defeat this monster in order to get to him, and after hanging back a moment to give her teammates ample time to catch up the Braixen jumped into the fray, scarf fluttering behind her as she used her new attack that she’d apparently learned somehow to strike primarily at the potential weak spots she could see.
When the enormous beast began moving forward once more, she quickly jumped back to get out of the way and hopefully avoid being hit if it ended up targeting her. She skidded along the ground until she slowed to a stop by her teammates, just as Daiki hurled another ball of energy that rained more meteor-like projectiles upon the thing. The Braixen wasn’t entirely sure of what kind of attack that was, but whatever it was seemed to be taking a fair bit more out of the Zoroark than usual as he was crouched down with one hand resting on the rocky earth below. Feeling a familiar spike of concern, Fianna quickly asked how he was holding up, taking a brief moment to look up at him before turning her gaze back towards the monstrosity in front of them. Somehow she felt it was best to keep a close eye on it, be prepared for what it might do next… She nodded as Daiki assured her that he was holding so far, still rather worried but trying not to let it show too much in favor of focusing on the fight. ”Alright…” she said as she took a breath, clearing her mind and sharpening her focus to determine where to strike next, ”Looks like this thing might not hold up for much longer if we keep this up… Just be careful, alright?” She looked back up at him once more, eyes soft as she encouragingly patted him on the back.
Returning her gaze to the fight, Fianna’s ears stood up upon seeing the familiar pattern of a certain Medicham a bit of a ways away from where they were. ”Looks like starpants is still around,” she spoke up, gently nudging Daiki with her tail as she pointed out the Fighting-type, unable to help but call the Medicham by the nickname since it seemed he didn’t have any actual name yet. ”But… What the hell is he doing…?” she murmured in a softer tone, of course the baggy-pants Fighting-type was hanging back and not helping with the fight but he seemed to be looking all around the field. It seemed like he was trying to find something… or perhaps someone, though what or who it was he was looking for exactly was a bit of a different story… He probably ought to count himself lucky that it seemed the nightmarish beast hadn’t tried to target him, not yet at least…
Speaking of, her attention couldn’t stay on him for long as the monster before them let out an agonized roar, clearly feeling the pain of the repeated volley of attacks being directed at it as it was quite weakened at this point. Even Darkrai was starting to look quite worried as the creature stumbled and staggered, only just managing to stay on its feet as it began randomly and desperately swiping at the army of Pokemon surrounding it in a last ditch effort to get a hit in. Most of the Pokemon closest to the thing were easily able to dodge the slow and rather clumsy blows, but to Fianna’s horror Xiao Lan, who happened to be close to it at the wrong time, wasn’t able to get out of the way in time as a giant paw struck and swatted her to the side. ”Xiao Lan!” the Braixen shouted, wasting no time dashing towards the little Noibat, ducking and weaving through the other Pokemon around and jumping up in time to catch her before she potentially took a hard landing. Skidding a bit of a ways back as she landed, Fianna huffed a soft sigh as she looked to the little Noibat in her arms. ”Mon petit cheri… are you alright?” she asked softly, quickly checking the child over and giving her a gentle, reassuring hug and a pat on the head.
Thankfully, Xiao Lan was more or less quite alright in spite of taking a bit of a beating as the Braixen released her. That being said, however… Fianna felt her blood boiling like a volcano preparing to erupt as she turned to face the nightmarish monster once more, waves of heated air pouring out from her ears as her lips twisted into a vicious snarl. This thing... This thing had hurt Xiao Lan... Just swatted her away as if she'd been little more than a pesky fly... Absolutely. Unforgivable… How DARE this damnable abomination lay even a FINGER on HER baby... Rage fueling her veins, Fianna strode purposefully towards the beast, her expression settled into a kind of disquieting calm that hid behind it a raging maelstrom of fury as she got closer and closer to it. She caught the sight of a flailing hand coming down in her direction out of the corner of her eye, and her legs tensing in anticipation as it drew nearer and nearer. With a powerful leap, she jumped over the hand as it passed down below, shifting her weight to land on the monstrosity’s arm and taking off in a furious sprint along the limb. Not giving it any time to try and shake her off as she reached the shoulder, she pushed her feet against the armor-like piece on it hard and launched herself right up towards its head, clenching her fists as a telltale frost blue energy began to form around them. Roaring out an angry battle cry she took the first swing as she rose up to meet its face, the first giant icy fist colliding solidly with the monster’s chin in a wicked uppercut. Not even hesitating as the momentum kept her in the air for a good few seconds longer, Fianna’s other arm struck outward towards the fiend, directing a second giant ice fist to strike home right between the beady little eyes of the giant Bidoof face with a mighty ‘CRACK!’.
That seemed to do it, the monster shuddered as it staggered and buckled, any fight that might still be left in it clearly taken out of it as it seemed unable to keep itself solid for much longer. As the leftover momentum began to carry Fianna back down towards the ground rather quickly, she immediately closed her eyes. Flexing her imagination, the Braixen willed herself to become lighter and lighter until she weighed little more than a feather, allowing her to drift harmlessly back to the ground. Letting out a heavy, heated breath, she dusted herself off before turning her full attention towards Darkrai and leveled a baleful, dagger-sharp glare right at him. They had finally laid the nightmarish monstrosity low, so that left only him now… At this point he had the choice to either surrender and leave this place so they could go free, or go up against an entire army of Pokemon who were more than willing to fight to escape... 】☆ ☆
