I played Risk with my sister and my mom once. I took over three continents while they were fighting over Europe and Asia.

Captain Kilos I played Risk with my sister and my mom once. I took over three continents while they were fighting over Europe and Asia. Never go for the Eurasian super continent until you have a secured base of power, it's too big to hit head on unless you have the manpower.

Aussie all the way. Has only one route in, so its a perfect defense if you place enough troops you can't even touch them. Small invasion force through Asia to cut through to the Americas, or cut to Europe. So long as I held Asia, I had one hell of a seat of power.

Only really advanced board game I've ever played was Arkham Horror. It'd be an amazing game if 80% of the time it takes to play the game didn't go into setting the board up. The freakin' thing has like a million pieces.
The sad part is that's just barely an exaggeration.

This is how the first and so far only time I played Risk went:
Me: -rolls dice, looks around- DID I WIN?!
The Guys I Was Playing With: Uhm, the game JUST started. .__.
Me: -rolls dice- ...DID I WIN?!
And so on and so forth.
Surprisingly, for about half the game, I was doing exceptionally well despite having NO IDEA what the hell was going on.
And that's why we never play board games with Becca. The end.
