MIkhael chuckled a little bit. "you should keep her on a leash." he joked. he glanced back for a moment, then forward again. he kept moving, not changing his stride. suddenly, from the trees, a whole bunch of small creatures flew up, and in towards the crowd. soon, a few hundred of these creatures, skeletal birds, were swarming the people within the crowd. they werent attacking, but it would possibly provide a diversion.

Van sighed in frustration before looking down at Riley. "Your sister's a real fun-killer you know that?" he said, Riley nodding a bit in response.

Mala gave a guilty look, the blow being quite intense as it came from no one other than Riley himself. "There are so many dangers out there, though. More people than you'd care to realise would hurt you with no remorse at all, your purity and morals easilly stolen from you, and you could lose complete sight of yourself. I don't mean to be too over-protective, but I just don't want that to happen to you. Is that truly a crime?" she asked calmly, fighting off tears. It was one thing for Van to tell her. It was devistating to hear it from her brother, whom she did it all for.

"I guess not..." Riley said, looking a little ashamed that he probably hurt his sister's feelings somehow.
Van scratched the back of his neck, the family sentiments making him feel out of place again as he looked away from the pair out into the distance.
