Moya watched him go before sighing. "I did it again." She stood up with Shilo in her arms and started to rock her again, going to the living room and sitting on the couch. Moya's thoughts went back to the beginning for them, remembering things and wincing at some things. He was the only person she trusted, so it was hard for her to argue with him. She loved him so much and she did everything she could to keep him happy. She didn't want to lose him.
Shilo curled up in a ball on Moya's lap, letting her mom run her fingers through her fur, knowing it was a comforting thing for her to do.

A good three hours later Nik came back, going straight up the stairs and collapsing on their bed. He didn't know what to say to Moya, he didn't want to scare her or make her feel bad. It would be a real kick in the a** to have gotten her to trust him after all these months and then lose it over something stupid. Heaving a sigh he closed his eyes, falling asleep in the same position he had fallen in.

Moya had watched him go up the stairs, having Shilo asleep on her lap. She carefully stood up and went upstairs, going into Shilo's room and placing her in her bed, covering her up before going into their bedroom. She watched Nik sleep for a bit before crawling up next to him, running her fingers through his hair as she watched him sleep.

Her fingers in his hair actually roused him, pulling him back from the shadows his dreams were becoming. When he opened his eyes and saw Moya he gave a small smile, his arm finding her hips and pulling her closer to him. Kissing her head lightly he closed his eyes again, resting his chin on her head, speaking in a soft yet rough voice. "Hey."

She smiled back at him and rested her head on his chest. "Hey." She sighed and got as close to him as she could. "I love you." She kissed his chest and closed her eyes, not wanting to screw up this time with him.

Squeezing her waist he stroked her back lightly, keeping his eyes closed. "I love you too." Laying there in the silence he just kept his arm around her, enjoying the closeness.

She smiled and relaxed in his arms, starting to drift in and out of sleep. She moved her arms around him so she was hugging him loosely as she fell asleep.

As she hugged him he didn't move, not to reposition himself, not to move her. He was comfortable where he was, and everytime she fell asleep a small part of him relaxed even more. His thoughts drifted even when he wanted to sleep once more. But this thought wouldn't leave....one of expanding their family by one more.

Shilo woke up, a little worried about her folks and got out of bed, pushing their door open and softly jumping onto their bed just in case if they were asleep. She lay at the foot of the bed, watching them carefully as her mom slept and her dad was in thought.

Shilo's jump onto the bed pulled him out of his thoughts, looking over at her and smiling. Their little white furball with black hair in her human form. Careful not to wake Moya he pat the spot next to him lightly with his hand.

Shilo perked up her ears and carefully waked over and sat down where her dad patted. She didn't want to wake up her mom either, she she stayed quiet and curled up into a ball, not really wanting to shift back thanks to the pain she would feel in her mouth. "What are you thinking about daddy?"

Running his fingers over her head he just realized how soft she actually was in wolf form. Huh. Well, better late than never. Still petting her he wondered how to answer in terms she would understand. 'I was thinking about you and Mommy. How much I love having you two.'

She licked his wrist and it looked like she was smiling. "Daddy, after mommy gets up can you get me another ring to chew on? My other one got too warm."

Smiling at the lick he rubbed her ears lightly, nodding and just laying there now. He was still tired, even with Shilo entertaining him. 'Yeah, we'll get you another ring.'

"Thank you daddy." Shilo yawned and settled down a little more, feeling better now that she saw her parents were in their room together.
Moya sighed in her sleep,turning in Nik's arms to face away from him, but her back was still against him. A few moments later she broke out in a cold sweat, on her face you could tell she was dreaming about something painful.
