Hush strayed into the shadows silently, and quietly made his way to the hideaway that the robot had indicated.

Sapphire paused slightly before answering. This guy really reminded her of Blackstone. "I just...I mistook you for someone else."

A smirk appeared on Vandal's face. "A good or bad reminder? Or is it a little of both?" His grip on the knife relaxed a little.

Sapphire shifted slightly. Well that depended on a lot of things...as much as she hated to say it.
'Well, you gonna answer him or not?' the girl said in her head again.
'Kid...'
'Just tell him both. Or I could just pop out and be your spokesperson. I know what all's in your he-'
"That depends on quite a few things." she finally said. She didn't want the girl popping out.

"Really? Now, you've piqued my interest, and not much truly does that anymore..." Vandal Savage walked up to the blue-clad woman slowly, stopping a few feet in front of her. "Such things as, if I may be so bold as to ask?"

Sapphire forced herself from taking a step back. He really reminded her of him.
'I can tell him he's making you nervous if you wa- whoah, hey now! No need to get potty mouthed, erm, minded with me. I'm just offering to help...'
"Mostly who or what else is involved at the time He liked to make sure he got his way." she answered.

Vandal actually smiled at that a little. "I'll admit, that DOES sound like me, actually. But we've never met before; I'd remember a woman of such... distinct characteristics." Then he bowed, saying, "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Vandal Savage. And you are?" He stood upright again, and gestured his hand towards her, inviting her to reply in kind. He was not expecting a bow, or anything of the sort; such things that were once deemed mandatory for proper society were now dead in the modern world.

'Wow...actually seems like a real gentleman. Though with that library of memories, I'm not really surprised.....hello? You're ignoring me again, aren't you?'
"Sapphire Spider" she replied, nodding her head slightly.

Savage showed a face of thoughtfullness. "Hm... Codenames... Never was a fan of those. However, I'll not intrude on your desired privacy. And who knows, you might tell me yourself, one day. I can wait." And he could. He had eternity to wait. Literally.

"Maybe." she replied without thinking. Her world, nothing good ever came when someone found out who was under the mask. Even if no one else she cared about was here, as long as she kept her mask on, no one was going to find out who she was.

"Yes, maybe." He turned his head slightly towards the sky. remembering his past, his long, colorful past, much of which was remembered by history. "I myself am very much proud of my deeds, and have no compulsions about people recognising me as the man who did them. I have no need for masks, no need for costumes." A need for different identities altogether, sometimes, but it would disturb people to know that you'd been alive long enough to remember when history wasn't even recorded.

Gold Star kept hidden in the shadows of the alley, but blinked and turned her attention towards Savage.
"Um...I think we should end this conversation a bit short. The guys a walking history book. And unless it's a family tree, I hate history."
"You know, I know the exact location of that little cell you were in. You don't knock it off, I'll send you right back."
"I'm serious! Telepath, remember? I'm seeing a freaking caveman, Khafre, Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Genghis Khan, Blackbeard, and...well that's just to name a few. And it's his face on all of them."
'You sure you didn't just get that from one of your history books of the future?'
'Alright, I'm not from the future. I found out that bringing up grampa was a bad idea a little too late and had to think of some way out of it.'
'Well, good job.'

Sapphire's attention snapped back to Savage. "Uh, no. Just have a lot on my mind. Been a bit of a long day." she replied.
'Yeah, you appartment was only leveled, you haven't eaten in hours, and you're still not sure what you're doing at the moment.' Star sighed. 'Though, you know...you got ticked when gramps was brough up, yet you're just standing here talking with someone who reminds you of him. What's up with that?'
Sapphire felt her face flush a bit, thankful that she wore a full face mask.
'Ohhh...I get it now.' Star said with a grin. 'But seriously...he's a freaking caveman...he should be on one of those insurance commercials.'
'Kid, do you have any idea how old your grandfather really is?'
'So....none of this would bother you if it were true? Because I can try to make a link from his mind to yours if you'd like.'

"Oh? Well, I was thinking of turning in myself soon," Savage lied, but it could be interesting where this leads. "How about we go look for a decent hotel? And no, I'm not offering to stay in the same room. At least, not against your wishes."
