Callista narrowed her eyes and poured strength into Valzar. She's not stronger than you. She's making you think that she is. Don't let her win. I won't let her win. She switched to the dancing safeguard, remembering how that one caught his attention. "Valzar!"

You won't win... he latched on to the added strength from Callista and managed to focus long enough to weave his own safeguard within his mind.

Callista felt Valzar's pain. "Keep fighting her Valzar. You're doing great!" She merged her mind with his and started weaving the fire safeguard. She pictured a large bolt of lightning comming out of the sky, smashing Sangula to the ground. She knew it wouldn't work, but thought that maybe it might scare her enough to let go.

The vampiress felt the girl's presence and growled knowing she couldn't fight both of their forces from a distance. Fine, have him then... her laugher echoed loudly in the boys mind where she was certain the carpathian could hear it. Enjoy your time together while you can because one day... she flooded the boy's mind with violent scenes each featuring him killing the dark hair girl in a variety of tortuous manners. That's a promise! she hissed taking full control of the male for a few brief seconds.
Valzar yelped as he felt himself compelled forward, tackling Callista to the ground.

Callista sent a mental jolt at the retreating Vampiress as she was pushed to the ground. "Valzar, are you ok?" She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him to her tightly.

"She's gone, Valzar. We sent her away." Callista pulled him close, leaning his head on her shoulder. She began stroking his mane slowly, soothingly.

He shook his head again, "She's too strong..." He couldn't even fight her off alone, for all he knew of shields, he had so much trouble creating them within his own mind.
