Goldie....felt a yawning chasm sort of open up. It took her a moment to realize that it was in her, that the world wasn't in fact trying to swallow her up but some kind of black hole had sort of swallowed up her insides, leaving her very hollow. She stared at the spot where Tyran had been and she just couldn't seem to figure out what was happening. Why couldn't she see him there? He was supposed to be standing....right there, next to his b***h sister. Right....there.....

Magnolia wasn't looking at Dorien, she would have loved her but she couldn't move her gaze off of Goldie. She moved forward quickly as the other woman's knees buckled and she collapsed. Magnolia managed to keep her upright.

"Where'd....where'd he go?" She asked in a small broken voice, it broke her heart and she pressed her lips together to keep from making her own sad noise.

[I apologize in advance for the inconveniences this will undoubtedly cause, but I must take a temporary leave of absence from everything that is in any way Gaia related. I need to fix a lot of things about myself. I need to relearn a lot of things about myself. I need to fix so many things...mend so many bridges. I can't do that here. I need to figure out how to fix myself, and how to be truly happy with myself, so that anyone else might be able to do the same.

To those it may concern, I apologize. Deep down, you know why. Please, I ask your forgiveness. If you cannot give it now, then please give me time to earn it.

To those of you that it doesn't, please do your best to carry on without me. I don't know how long I'll be away.

(*salutes Maker* Good luck my friend. I hope you find what you're looking for. 3nodding )

[Take all the time you need my friend.]

Dorien slowly opened his eyes and although they were now not glazed over or dim, they still were not a bright as they used to be. But he was strong again and ot him, that was all that mattered. He looked over at Goldie as she fell, the usual cold glare intensified by the by the clear show of weakness even more than he was with his own.

Tyran was a part of me, and a major factor of my weakness. It is only right that he and his sister return to give me strength. he said as Magnolia held her, He was only a vessel, succbus, and nothing more. Do well not to place such affections upon such a thing. he then moved out of the room, leaving the chilling coldness of his words to stay with them. He had work to do and staying around to watch a broken demon was not something he cared to do.

Outside, the doctors cheered as Dorien walked out basically back to normal and almost immediately life became busy once again. Dorien looked at the room where the two women still were and narrowed his eyes, Pathetic. To fall in love with such a being...he has comepleted his purpose. Join him in death if you are that weak for him. he kept these thoughts to himself, but they were clearly shown upon his face before he left the elvan realms to join the other Leaders.

[Yes, I know this is all messed up, but Dorien's gotta live.... sweatdrop ]

Black Diamonds and Garnet
The silence that settled after Quinn's small speech was destroyed by Ashra's laughter and no matter how small or innocent he looked, that laughter was still cold and quite terrible to hear.

"Do you really think that to be truly nuetral is to give up your friends and family? Oh Quinn of the Rith-Kiran, you have so much to learn then. I myself created the Litani family as my clan, what teacher would I be if I told you to give up something that I myself have?" he looked up at Quinn, and tilted his head, "But that is understandable I guess. You are but a child. Being neutral is not the same as isolating yourself. It is the ability to know when the tides of good and evil are tipped and to do your upmost keep the scales balanced or when to let the chips fall where they may. Two very difficult actions to do."

He looked tired suddenly and even yawned as he felt Moneko's power grow, "The curse I placed upon this city was he second action. You will learn which one you must choose soon enough, but before that time, I must rest. The day has been long and my body can only hold out for so long..." he finished sleepily before falling asleep upon the bench.
Quinn sat back down next to the child leader, contemplating everything that was going to happen in the near future. The Leaders were almost all awake. Could the city return to how it once was? He didn't think so. There were still so many that opposed the leaders, and in their weakened states it would be much harder for them to recover their power.

But all the same here the child leader sat, ready and willing to give a new found power to Quinn. Quinn couldn't help but wonder exactly why Ashra had chosen him. Ashra was certainly a strange one. It only barely began to describe the true madness of the child leader. But at the same time, he took a genuine care to those he sought out.

"To be neutral is not to give up ones family, but to know when the chips must fall how they will." Quinn repeated Ashra's words, "Remus and Lina are my friends, but I fear I must cut my ties to the Lotus Group in order to do as Ashra has asked. I can keep my friends. I can help them. But I cannot be a part of them."

Quinn came to these terms rather in a rather harsh manner. He didn't like the thought, but in order for him to unlock his true potential than he must. How would he tell Lina? Or would he? Ashra was powerful, and it was likely that he could handle everything himself. No...he would tell Lina. It was only right.

[Okay, I hope no one minds if I just poof Moneko into existence...and I know it's a sucky description, but you'll get a better one in part two...]

Ashra slept soundly even as an immense power suddenly made itself known through shining beam of light, one of such brillance that even with eyes closed, a person would have trouble seeing afterwards. It filled the entire city and when it disappeared, so did the chaos Ashra's curse had produced. The city was in confusion, but not one of pure freedom anymore...atleast for the moment.

Lina knelt upon the floor and shook from weakness as she managed a small bow to the being of light standing before them. It had been so long since she had seen this form of her teacher, but the fact that she could make a form at all was a relief. With squinted eyes she looked past the power to the female within and saw that she was indeed in her child form, one much like Ashra's except of course for being covered in light.

"It is good to have you among us once again Sensei," Lina said through slow breaths, "As you already know, the world needs the Ten once again."

The remaining light dimmed and their stood a little girl of ten years dressed quite literally all in white. Her hair, skin and even her eyes were pure light at its lowest brilliance. She looked around at the apprentices surrounding her, her gaze narrowing slightly when she fell upon Troden, "Leave. Take your men and run as far as you can. You have a week. That is all." she then looked Merlin, "You have a day to rest and prepare yourself. Only Vincent's Heart can bring back to the Darkness." she then moved passed Lina, stopping for only a moment to look at her apprentice before moving on.

Lina said nothing before standing up to follow.

Othello felt a great sense of relief when Moneko awakened, but also a dark something stir up from the back of his mind... He pushed it aside as best he could since he might still be needed and followed Lina and the newly awakened leader.

Remus stood back, away from the main group as Moneko emerged. He would wait for his wife here. He would let her and her teacher catch up before approaching her.

And it was just as well, for Lina would not have wanted him to hear what would be said next.

Moneko led the way to the shrine with her apprentice quick following closely behind. If no one knew who the child was it would have made an eerie sight to see the Lotus Leader following the child, her gaze lowered as if she was the one in trouble. And in a way, she was.

As soon as the entrance of the shrine was closed, Moneko lifted the book of the Ten from its place and began to flip through it, idly taking her her time until the page about Fiora was shown, "How long has it been since you've used what I taught you?" she asked quietly, the pages turning once again, "Using the light to summon your mother's bow was careless and took to much for one who should be experienced in such magic."

"Sensei-"

"There have been multiple attemtps to break into the base, most of which in my slumbering state could barely avoid without including Dorien's appearance...and possession of you."

"It was a spiritual battle that I lost Sensei, not a battle of magic, but with everything else I understand. I have not used the light's full potential. Forgive me."

Lina watched as Moneko slowly closed the book and placed it back upon the shrine before turning to her, "The question is not whether I should forgive you, but whether you can forgive yourself. Your child shall not be born to a world where the Ten are at their strongest now because of your actions and the others as well." she paused as she watched Lina's shock filled her expression, "You did not know...did you..."

"My..child...?" Lina repeated. But...how?

"You should have sensed her soul long ago Lina. Has it truly been that long since you fully used your powers?" she folded her arms and walked towards the door once again, "Ice powers are fine for those who can use them, btu you are my apprentice Lina of the Asanti. Use what you truly know and you shall be stronger for your child and your husband." she then left Lina to her thoughts, the book glowing with a strange new light.

Moneko slowly walked out, her eyes closed as she moved down the hall. Lina, you disappoint me... she thought as a figure followed her a few feet away, "You have returned to finish our deal have you not?" she asked, her small form stopping in the training field. The figure stopped as well, "You wish to be complete again..am I right Dorien?"

Dorien slowly moved her, his eyes slightly tinted with red, What it back. All of it. My freedom, my sense of hearing...everything.

"And are you willing to kill for it still?"

In an instant.

"Then you will not have it." Dorien growled slightly and charged towards her, his blades ready to slice into her body...only to cut into a child shaped mist cloud. He quickly turned around, his blade making a horizontal arc only to have his other arm contorted painfully behind him from the very mist he had cut through, "You forget Dorien, that I am of the magical realm," Moneko said as she rematerialized herself, making the already bizarre scene worse as she returned to the child's form, "Magic can only hurt magic. No matter how much you resist I control you Dorien until you use the true magic you control." she then released the vampiric elf and continued to walked down the training field. "Now leave me and return to the elvan realms until I need you. Vincent's Awakening will take alot out of me and will need your strength to keep me standing."

Dorien watched her through narrowed eyes as he held his arm. Every time they fought she was in that form and everytime dfeated him. Did she think that it was a humbling experience to be seen bested by a child? It was infuriating! I will take what is mine Moneko, he thought as he stood back up, Whether the Light is in its purest form or not. he then disapepared and returned once again to the elvan realms.

Remus had moved to the kitchens. He made what he was sure would be a needed meal for both himself and Lina when she chose to find him. It had been a rather trying day, but he felt a sense of finality. With Moneko's awakening he had realized that only Fiora was left, and that with the nine currently awakened leaders here, she wouldn't be asleep much longer. Either way he felt that his part in this adventure was almost at it's close. He smiled at the thought, his left hand reaching up and absentmindedly touched his half an ear.

He set out the meal of meat, fruit, tea for him and blood for Lina, and just sat down to wait.

Lina slowly moved out of the room, her arm the only thing holding her up as the mental and physical strain she had been putting upon herself finally at its peak. She was tired...so tired...

But I cannot rest, Lina thought as she continued to moved down the hall, Not until I told him... It was then that she sensed Remus's presence nearby and followed it until she had entered the kitchen. She then leaned against the door, relief hitting her in waves as she saw his face, "Remus..."

"What happened? Why is she a complete zombie?!" Amadeus demanded, pacing back and forth. A few minutes ago, Magnolia had showed up with his....waking-comatose sister barely able to stand. He'd put her to bed (having gotten a hotel room during his stay). Goldie was in the bedroom, staring at absolutely nothing, looking like she was about to keel over any moment.

"Tyran....assisted Dorien in recovering. I don't know how but Dorien was severly weakened and he needed his strength back. Something big is about to happen...I believe all the Ten are nearly awake."

"And how is Goldie--"

"Dorien absorbed Tyran and his sister to revitalize himself. I....can't sense him and neither can Goldie, she thinks he's dead."

Amadeus stared at the woman sitting down before him. He'd since stopped pacing, "Would you be terribly mad if I went after Dorien?" He asked quietly. He was surprised by her bitter snort.

"Not so much. He said some pretty horrible things to Goldie, I'm not very happy with him at the moment." Magnolia sighed, "But alas, I do love him and I'd regret it later if you did manage to kill him."

Amadeus mouth twisted, "Your confidence is heartening." He said dryly.

"He is already dead....and the Patriarch of the Elvan race. You'll have your hands full." Magnolia replied.

"Touche..."

Remus wasn't the only one in the kitchen. On the counter sat a large, impossibly black feline. It's fur seemed to absorb the light in the room, making it's form look like some kind of black void instead of fur. When it swung it's head to look at Lina, fathomless, completely black eyes settled upon the woman. They gave the impression that one would simply fall and never come out if they were looked into for too long.

((*totally didn't feel like color coding*))

[lol That's totally alright^^]

Lina made herself sit down before looking at the animal with her own grey eyes and sighed, "Are you ready for Vincent's Awakening?" she asked softly, "It will take your all to keep from being consumed by Moneko's Light...Merlin."

There was a mental sigh, That is true. Though, what is a beacon of light in the dead of night? Merlin's voice was a bit tight with some unrevealed emotion. The feline lifted a paw and began grooming, the mundane gesture looking a bit odd on the very abnormal creature

"And what is a shadow in the middle of the day?" Lina replied, looking away, "Maybe it will be easier now that his power won't be as resistant as before because of Salen's-" she cut herself off and closed her eyes, her fists tightening, "Perhaps this is for the best."
