"Lina," Quinn interjected carefully, "It would not be wise to keep Moneko, or the other Leaders, waiting for much longer. If we're going to awaken Moneko, we need to do it sooner rather than later. Should I go and inform them of Troden's terms?"

Troden chuckled lightly before looking Isabelle's way, "Time is all I have at the moment I believe. I am one of the key components in this game and whether they wish to admit this advantage or not is their issue." he then looked back to Othello and let the amusement stay in his eyes, "I nearly died before all of this by the very people you wish me to help, so this is rather ironic. To have the apprentice become enemy and then enemy to savior...not many have the opportunity to laugh. But I do."He did not laugh again, but a grin did appear upon his face.
"Let your precious Leader decide whether I should let that laughter escape or not."

Lina stayed silent as she listened to Troden's terms and silently thanked Moneko for helping her create an emotionless mask in dire circumstances. It was particularly useful now.
Lina turned slightly as Quinn spoke and nodded, "Although his terms are steep, they are regretablly smart. Please go as soon as you can." she replied quietly.
Milan stayed in her wolf form, but her feelings were clear as her white fur bristled and the lycan paced back and forth nearby. We are coming Lord Ashra...hold on...

Quinn nodded to Lina as he stepped toward Milan, a smile laced upon his lips. He had never seen her wolf form before, just her human form, but he immediately knew it to be her. Something about her aura just set her out against every other Lycan that he had met so far. It was strange, to him.
I imagine that you are very quick in your Lycan form, Milan, Quinn's voice sounded in her head, having heard the words about Ashra, but if you will allow it I would like to Teleport us there. I know exactly where the Leaders are, and it will go exponentially faster.
He didn't wait for a reply. He placed a hand on the White Wolf's Spine and in an instant they were gone. The surrounding Rajens, the Lotus Members, everything disappeared in that same instant as a rushing, suffocating feeling came over the two. Just as fast as it came, though, it was gone. Milan and Quinn stood in the Garden where the Leaders had taken up refuge to protect themselves from the madness caused by Ashra's spell.
Please, let me speak first. Quinn's said, staring down at her, Change if you'd like. I have no connection to the leaders, so swaying them may be difficult for me alone.
"Leaders of the Ten." Quinn began, doing his best to stay calm in the presence of so many powerful figures, "Your apprentices have gathered. They are preparing to awaken Moneko. The one called Troden, however, has some steep terms that he demands be followed or he will simply walk away. Having nearly died because of the Ten once, he hardly wants to help bring one of them back. And so he demands a truce, one long enough for him to safely walk into Moneko's Tomb without the risk of being attacked. He will aid in Moneko's Awakening, then leave. Those are his terms, and he refuses to sway from them. I was asked to come her and inform you."

DarkScarlettVixen Karrot Gaaron Karrot stopped short with a realization. " What is the problem, Karrot?" " I forgot to go back to tell the people I was with what I was up to." They both hurried back to the Nocturne and Karrot went back inside. When he came back into the room he looked around at the people within. " I must find and calm those who will awaken... the one who is to be... awakened... I don't know who they are, My associate may be able to help locate the area where those who still need help, but he cannot pinpoint their locations. Can any of you aid us?" ((That was.....vague....He's looking for Merlin, right? She's in her room where he left her since I haven't moved her.)) ((yes, this is who Karrot is talking to, please respond)))

Remus pulled back away from the alley, inwardly swearing with an uprecedented amount of anger. He would be immune to the leader's influence! He forced himself to calm down and grimly thought about how much more satisfying it would be to do the job himself.

Milan's fur bristled fiercely in the aftershock of the teleportation and nearly growled before returning to her human form, her hands rubbing the sides of her arms as the sensations their short trip wore off. She was never one to use magic for transportation and prefered to keep it strictly for defensive purposes and after almost six thousand years without being involved in such magic, the effects still got to her.
She shook herself out of the strange feelings it produced and gave Quinn a grateful yet slightly annoyed look. Allow me to prepare for it better next time... the gaze said, but the thanks was evident enough in her shaky smile. Clearly he knew she had wanted to see Ashra's condition herself and was wise enough to know that bringing an apprentice along for the negotiations might help.
Whatever thoughts she had at the moment were replaced by shock at the sight of Ashra's small form lending against a nearby tree that was already dying from his touch. He looked so weak and helpless, far too much like a dying child. It was only when his golden eyes looked up and fell upon them that she saw the strong look of a Leader and the flash of anger at the Sulla's name hat she gave an inward sigh of relief. He is fine for now. Just how long he will stay that way remains to be seen...
She looked at the others remaining and noticed even after Emit's crumbling form that Dorien was nowhere insight and upon a deeper, more magical search, not even in this realm. Was the leader affected more by the spell than the others? These thought flashed in her mind for a few moments longer until Ashra's voice commanded her attention.
"He isn't as foolish as he looks by the sounds of it," he murmured, his usual golden gaze darkening for only a moment before returning to normal, "It adds on to the time he will get to retreat even after Moneko is awakened for we still need Vincent and Fiora. I say give the pariah what he wants. He will be of no further use to us after this and there are far better ways of attacking someone than with physical blows."
Emit made his own nod in accord to Ashra's answer, "Dorien, although he is not here, will undoubtedly agree as well. Let's get this over with so the Sulla and turn tail and get out of our sights already."

"Shall I take my leave, then?" Quinn asked, bowing and taking a humble step backward, "Lady Asanti would like this information as quickly as possible. But, if you have something else for me to do first, then I will wait."

"Indeed Dorien would," Ashra said to Emit, taking his time to acknowledge Quinn's statement, "He would do anything to get her back..."
"Watch what you say Ashra," Emit warned, "Saying such a comment would surely cause a fight we cannot afford to have right now." the child Leader merely smirked, but said nothing further.
Ashra then looked upon Quinn for a long moment, as if he was searching for something. He soon found whatever it was and in response gave a rather odd smirk before nodding, "For you I may have something, but as for Milan, she needs to be with the others. She will leave in your stead." Milan straightened and nodded before closing her eyes. With a wave of his hand, Ashra sent her with to the others and then turned his attention back to Quinn.
"I will need you for the moment to come with me to the one who read from this book and then to Moneko's tomb then you can go." he said, slowly standing up, the slieeves from the chilld's robes he wore dangling over hands, making the leader even mroe innocent and helpless than he ever could be. He walked over to Quinn's side and took the man's hands, "I don't think it wise for me to use my powers within Moneko's sacred place, not in the condition I am in now, so you will have to take so you will have to take us there." he said calmly, "Let us go."
--
The affects of the spell would be far worse than Ashra's inability to use his powers for even within the elvan realm a great uproar was crossing the land at Dorien's weakened state. The fact that he could be badly injured was surprising enough for most, but from reports from their best healers, the thought of Dorien 'dying' was now a shocking reality.
Two sickly grey eyes had replaced the once icy look that was everpresent upon his face and his already thin body was practically fading away infront of the healer's very eyes...atleast when they were able to go into the room.
"I don't understand it." One of them said as they looked at the closed doors of the Leader's room, "Why did he call us if he won't tell us what has happened to him?" the other healers shook their heads and sighed before they all looked at the closed doors once again They had tried to get information out of him about what happened, but he would speak only to Magnolia and no one else.
"Let us hope that Lady Magnolia can get the information we need to save him..."

"The honor is your's, Ashra." Quinn replied, nodding and smiling to the child leader, "Now yes, let us go."
Quinn closed his eyes, concentrating very closely on Salen. He didn't know exactly where Salen was, but gathering a very firm image of the man in his head was more than enough. Once he had the perfect image, only then did he make the spell follow through. And, out of the garden, the two were gone.
They appeared at the Lotus Base, the Infirmary, first as a shimmering image before their figures solidified into physical beings. Certain members of the base scattered at the sight of Ashra. Other members bowed in his presence. It was interesting to watch, from Quinn's standpoint.
From there, Quinn led Ashra into Salen's room. Quinn spoke before Salen could, saying, "Lord Ashra wished to speak with you, Salen."

Salen's brown eyes met Ashra's brilliant golden gaze surprisingly well under the circumstances, or rather as well as a condemned man hold up under such a scrutinizing gaze. He held it for only a moment before lowering is head and giving a slight bow which produced another smirk from the child Leader, something that as we now all now doosn't always mean he is pleased.
"So you are the one who took a rather cheap shot over Us..."Ashra let go of Quinn's hand after a moment and walked towards the bed, the black book appearing in his hands as he did so. When he stopped by the railing, Salen's gaze locked onto the book as if it would possess him, but whether Ashra caught this or not was perfectly hidden under his smirking mask, "How did it feel I wonder, to hold this book in your hands, knowing very well that the myth of the Ten being invulnerable would soon be clearly known? Don't tell me all you felt was a deranged sense of justice for that would be a lie." he lifted his hand and opened the book, idly turning the page and stopping infront of the aforementioned curse. By this time Salen looked quite miserable, but didn't Ashra the pleasure of looking away this time. The child's smirk became a grin, "Tell me, when you held your cursed blade and plunged it into Moneko's tomb, did you truly understand that you were about to kill ten people? Ten powerful people, but we are all living beings...in a sense."
"The implications of what was being done was not lost upon me Lord Ashra," Salen replied, his voice, although weak and dead, still keep a hint of its former calm as he spoke. This was a man who had fully accepted his mistake and the consequences in store, a man that even in Ashra's mind still should be given a little respect for that.
Those golden eyes watched his expressions as he spoke, and then allowed hismelf to look at the now frail looking body and the rather large scar Lina had given him. Right in the heart... he thought with a bit of surprise. He lifted his small hand to touch it and give his own assessment on the magic used to make the scar, but at the sudden stiffeness in Salen's form, his hand stopped in the air and the child's amusement was heard throughout the Infirmary, "Do you think I would end you life right here former Lotus member?" he asked, laughing again, "No my friend, you will make yourself suffer and if it was up to me, I would let you make your own punishment instead of Lina giving one to you. This burden is upon yourself, my 'touch' will not lighten that load." but the hand did fall back upon the dark book.
Silence reigned for what seemed like an eternity before Ashra spoke once again, "There is one question I must ask before I go," he said, his voice, lowering slighlty and the amusement gone from his face, "At when did you get this book and how long did it take for the ancient writing to translate itself for your foolish attempt? Was at the moment you and the other elders gave voice to your thoughts or was when you were actually forming the plan?"
Salen shifted slightly in the bed, his face thoughtful and for a moment losing it's defeated mask, "Only after we realized that we were not alone in our thoughts did it materialize, forst in our dreams the next in reality. You can as all of us and they will tell you the same dream up until the point that the book came into our hands. And as for the translation, it was only when the decision to act out the plan was made and only when all of us were in comeplete accord with the actions that it made itself available to us. I believe that if we still had restraints within our minds this would never have happened." Dangerous words to say infront of Ashra, but in a way wisely put.
Ashra's gaze brightened for only a moment before the grin returned to his face, "That is all I wish to know for now. Goodbye former Lotus member." his tone was exceedingly polite, as if he was a child being forced to show good manners. He then slipepd away from the bed and took Quinn's hand once again, but this time leading him to Moneko's grave.

With one quick Appariation, Quinn and Ashra stood outside Moneko's tomb. With slick movement, his wand and been removed from the inner pocket of his robes. It didn't take long to remove all the charms, enchantments, and wards that had been placed on the area so that he and Ashra could walk inside.
I wonder if Ashra himself could have done that... Quinn questioned himself, Wouldn't try it in his current state, thought.
"This is Moneko's Tomb, although I'm sure that you're aware." Quinn explain what and why he had done what he did as he lead the way into the room, "I put several wards of my own personal design on the room so that no one from the Lotus Base would sneak in and possibly cause more damage, even if it was accidental."

[I'm going to pretty much speed through all of this. Karrot and Scarlett, you two have been magically poofed in here lol]
"Wisely done and expertly casted too..." Ashra answered, noddingly slightly as he still sensed the fading presence of Quinn's magic, "Who is the god who you allowed you this power?" he asked, as he moved throughout the room, his small hand gingerly touching the walls and his own magic reading what residual energy was left from those spells, "It clearly is not one of the Ten for most of us already have an apprentice. And your scent is not one I am familiar with. What are you?" All of these questions were rattled off at a rather easy pace, but the curiousity shining from those orbs was clearly seen.
As he waited for Quinn's answer, he moved away from the wall and walked towards the alter, the dimly glowing light brightening slightly as it recognised him. Ashra slowly lifted his hand and placed it upon the alter, allowing some of his worry and anger break through his usually calm mask before turning to Quinn, "There is nothing mroe devastating than unbalanced darkness hitting one of pure light as Moneko is. Vicent should have a better time of recuperating than we have, but Moneko will have the worst. I expected the others to be here by now...I wonder why Milan is late..."
--
Milan had just appeared infront of Lina and told her the Ten's answer, her human form shivering once again from Ashra's teleportation. She was prepared for his actions, but the speel still had an affect on her.
She watched as Lina told Troden and the others the Ten's answer and breathed a sigh of relief as Lina this time brought them all infront of Moneko's tomb and the effects of the magic had finally dulled to a minor irritation.
Ashra looked at them allcalmly, his gaze lingering upon Merlin and then Troden longer than the others before saying, "Do not use to much energy to Awaken Moneko for if you do, we will have to wait another day for him. We do not have that much time anymore." Lina nodded and so did Milan, "Remember if you fail, Signet will be destroyed." he then looked at Quinn, "Let's talk about this in a more convenient place..." he then walked past the others as Lina began to speak.
"Everyone, please surround Moneko's tomb and send your energy into it. As long as there is a constant flow of energy, Moneko should be able to free herself, but don't over do it. You will need your energy for Vincent as Lord Ashra has said."

((Got a little long there...sorry about that. sweatdrop ))
"Yes, Ashra." Quinn replied, getting the feeling that the following spell might be too much for the child leader to take in his weakened state.
Quinn took the child leader's hand and teleported the two out of the room. The spell took them out of the Lotus base to a nearby garden that Quinn had been using to study when he wasn't needed around. He had met some very interesting people there. Some were great sources of information while others were...others weren't. He left it at that.
When the two came out of the spell, Quinn looked around and saw the nearby bench. He guided Ashra to it, allowing the child to sit before he did. And then he sat himself. How was he going to explain what exactly he was to someone of Ashra's might? Even in the boy's weakened state, he was still incredibly powerful.
"What am I?" Quinn mused over the question, letting roll over in his mind several times before answering, "I've honestly never had that question asked of me before. I am neither human nor vampire, nor am I Lycan. I am Rith-Kiran, an ancient race dating back to nearly the beginning of time. A personal creation of the gods, that is what most of the lore of my people say."
Quinn continued, doing his best to keep the sadness from his voice, "My family was killed some time ago, and so I took to wandering the world. It's how I met Remus, actually. For one hundred and twenty years I've wandered. To answer your question before you ask it, Ashra, the Rith-Kiran live longer lives than most ancient Vampires do. Thousands upon thousands of years, we live, and so our bodies compensate by allowing us to age at a much slower rate. I look no older than twenty one, but I have over one hundred years of experience in what I do."
"What god allowed me such powers?" Quinn repeated the first question that he had been asked, "The God of Time. To my people, he is the highest God, and so my magic stems from all sources. I can learn any, use any, wield any, just given enough time to learn it. Magic is what Rith-Kirans do. They spend their lives on it. It is said in many lore that magic runs through our veins rather than blood, for when a Rith-Kiran is wounded, cut, or stabbed, anything that would cause the spilling of blood, the do not bleed. They simply continue on, taking the wound in stride. Given time, they heal naturally. Some quicker than others. And when they take a killing blow, a blow to the heart for example, their bodies simply disappear."
Quinn paused, not sure what else to say. He had covered the two questions that Ashra asked of him, but did the child leader want to know more? It had been a long time since anyone had shown interest in him. He left Alexander, his former teacher, after only a few years because of what happened to his family and Alexander never showed any further interest. Quinn did not know why, but did not brood. He simply moved on in his life, continuing to learn from any source of magic that he could find. That was why his arsenal of spells was so large...he never stopped learning.

"I have been asked many a time by my own kind what I am," Ashra answered, resting his back against the bench, "A lycan who is still a child after all these years is not supposed to be possible. You should see the reactions on other's faces when they find out I can destry them with a touch. It's priceless." and of course, the strange child laughed at that.
But Quinn's answer did quiet him slightly. So his people are Rith-Kiran..that explains alot. he thought as he listened, his head tilting slightly at the thought of age. Ashra knew more than most on how looks can be decieing, which is why he look took an interest in Quinn. Many of factors also caught his eyes, but they could be discussed later. Or so he thought.
"The God of Time you say?" Ashra replied, his eyebrows raising slightly, "Yule is his name am I correct?" he looked down, his eyes narrowing as he sorted his thoughts. This was an ancient god Quinn spoke of, one Ashra very well. And this Rith-Kiran worships him...
He looked back at Quinn, his gaze intense before lifting his hand, "Do you know why you have come here Quinn? What purpose do you have within this city? Think well for this is important." the his black hair fell over his shoulders and he crouched upon the bench and stared into Quinn's eyes, "There is magic here that you can learn, that is true, but is that the only reason you have returned?"

[On the next post, I'm going to speed through the Awakening process to get to Vincent's turn for that's truly when things will be basically done. For all those who have recently joined Signet, part two will be in a new guild, but you will be invited of course.]
