Namir replied smoothly to the amazon girl, "Do not worry. Layna and I know each other when she was last here in New York in good terms. I unfortunately had to deliver some sad news to her." Turning to Layna he said softly,"I apologize that I was not there to stop him."

"Wait...I know you?" She asked, her eyes widening in surprise. Namir....Namir... The name wasn't familiar. She wasn't sure why it felt like she did know him, but she had never seen him before.

Namir smiled and flapped his hands like wings right next to his sholders,"A little bird who use to hang around Razu all the time with his brother. Does the name Duke ring a bell?"

((Hey everyone...sorry for the long period of no posting from me... sad (( just been really busy with s**t lately, and went on vacation for spring break to south padre island. anywayz, i suppose since its been pretty long since Veroen has done anything, we'll just say he has disappeared for a long time and whatnot. No one knows why, except Meredith.))
A lone, dark, and cloaked figure traveled at a human pace into the city limits. His features were hidden, and his movements were somewhat...mysterious. The figure continued his pace, and looked around slowly at the city he had been away from for quite some time now. He was eager to see her again, but it did not show through his movements as he continued forward.
He did not know how long he had been gone, for he had gone to seek out the last of his kind, a Vampire by the name of Kyu, his old Assassin clan elder. Apparently, the elder too, had become a Vampire, and was in seclusion in a hidden location deep within the Alps in the eastern hemisphere. Veroen had been there, training, with his old Assassin elder, honing, and sharpening his skills, as well as learning new ones. Veroen knew that if he were going to be able to properly protect himself and Meredith, he would need these skills, knowledge, and training.
He was different now, and had an almost visible red shadow-like appearance about him. His hair had changed as well, and was now long enough to reach the middle of his back. Its color, however, was still the same bright crimson, and still matched his single crimson eye exactly. He still had on the eyepatch, which covered his empty eyesocket, where his left eye used to be. He had also used this to his advantage as well. Without being able to fully rely on his eyesight, he had also managed to hone his other senses, such as his ability to pick up scents, his ability to hear things and calculate where someone was and how fast they were moving just by hearing their footsteps, and his ability to predict movements with these senses.
He quietly entered the graveyard, with the sound of softer, and lighter boots stepping on the grass. His crimson eye could be seen in the shadow of under the hood of a large deep crimson cloak, which covered his entire body. His crimson eye quickly looked around, until he spotted figures in the distance.
His eye lit up when spotted Meredith, speaking with two men, and she had another woman with her. his eye narrowed, however, when he realized that these two men appeared to be eyeing Meredith with lustful eyes. He stopped, and observed silently with his heightened hearing, and listened to their conversation. he heard Meredith speak of love as if it was just a nuisance, something like an annoying mosquito biting at the back of your neck. by the way she spoke of it. And she brought up her ex-fiance, which made Veroen slightly grit his teeth.
Veroen was here to see Meredith again, and he came back to see her with two men who were observing her with lustful expressions, and to hear her talk as though she hated love, and as if she had forgotten about him during his absence.
He narrowed his eye, and walked forward, until after a minute of closing the distance between himself and Meredith. He stood there, about 10 yards away from the group, eyeing the two men with a murderful expression barely visible underneath his hood. He cared not what race they were, he would kill them if they even touched Meredith or himself, even if they were Vampires. He had lost all faith in his coven after what had happened between himself and his old best friend, Alasdair.
He was a Vampire who fought for himself, not for the Coven.
Veroen continued to eye the two men with a bit of anger. He then slowly changed the direction of his gaze towards Meredith. His eye had a sense of extreme disapointment in it, as well as a bit of anger mixed in. He did not understand what the hell was going on here, but he intended to find out.
He looked at the girl who he had trusted enough to fall in love with, and wondered if she even recognized him with his appearance hidden under his crimson cloak, and even wondered if she still loved him.

Meredith hadn't noticed any lustful expressions from Jack or from Nick as she'd been talking to them but she hadn't particularly scanning their faces for lustful gazes. Even if she had noticed she probably would have just raised the fact and told them off and that she wasn't interested. After all, why would she have any interest in them when she'd found Veroen? Though he was a vampire he was absolutely perfect and she wouldn't change an absolute thing about him, even the fact that he was a vampire. She had come to terms with it rather quickly though she had a kind of phobia of them after having been an experimental one and having been inside the mind of one. However, she trusted him with her life and everything
When she'd been speaking with Kerri she hadn't at all noticed that Veroen was watching, not that she would have said or done anything different had she known he was there minus perhaps introduce him. All that she'd said about love was what she'd experienced when she'd been with Tokeru and she spoke illy of it because Tokeru had managed to play her like a fiddle or whatever instrument she was most akin to. It'd been horrible and he'd played her right into his trap though he hadn't counted on her from escaping it and getting away from him. Of course, the details of all that were what she would always keep to herself and not wish to disclose to anyone. That was something she definitely wanted to leave behind but also learn from.
Of course she would recognize that face anywhere and as soon as she turned around, realizing that someone was behind her and her face instantly lit up. She would have gone on to explain to Kerrigan about Veroen but he'd interrupted them with his fully welcomed and appreciated presence. The huntress zipped off without warning and closed the rest of the distance between them, a smile on her face though she'd seen the anger within Veroen's. However, she didn't care, right now all she wanted to do was tackle him and hold him close because she'd missed him very much. It was a lot better this time, though, because he'd told her that he was going somewhere as opposed to just disappearing on her so she hadn't been doubting the sincerity of anything.
Once she reached Veroen she tackled him though he stood firm and just held him in a simple embrace, placing her head on his shoulder affectionately and trustingly. However, her smile and excitement was short lived when she realized he was still angry and when he seemed tense and unopen to her hug. She then looked up at him, obviously confused and asked, "What's wrong?"

Veroen's eye opened wider once she ran to him and hugged him tightly. he hesitated, remembering that he was a bit angry that there were two men talking to her, and trying to charm her from the looks of it. He looked back to the two men, Jack and Nick, with a deadly expression while he was still feeling the anger.
However, after a minute of her being in touching distance with her, he quickly melted, and a smile krept on his lips, and his expression became calmer, and he all but forgot why he was a bit upset at what he had seen. He heard her voice and it sent a sensational feeling down his spine, and he embraced her without an answer.
"I missed you..." he said quietly, with a soothing and deep voice. She was a tall girl, but he was still taller than her, and he looked down at her, and took in her appearance for the first time in a long time.
He calmly looked at her, and asked, "Who are the two friends of yours?" he motioned to Nick and Jack as he said this.

He calmly looked at her, and asked, "Who are the two friends of yours?" he motioned to Nick and Jack as he said this. It was clear that the Jackson girl had missed Veroen as much as he'd missed her and when the smile crept onto his lips she gave him a gentle peck on the cheek and bear hugged him all over again, just keeping him close for now. Of course it was natural to get away from one another sometimes since they needed their space but she always missed him and loved when she got to see him again. This time was no different except for she hadn't been worrying nearly as much and there'd been absolutely no doubt or wavering in her heart as to whether or not he truly loved her. She knew that he did and she trusted this vampire with her heart.
"I missed you too," she said as she looked into his eye and gently rested her forehead against his, her hand resting on his temple.
However, she pulled her hand and head away to look back over her shoulder after Veroen's question to see Jack and Nick and then looked back to Veroen and asked rhetorically as she pointed her fingerless gloved thumb back at the two behind her, "What them? Well you briefly met noob vampire back there though he seems to be a little less noobish now and the other weirdo's name is Jack. He came along after I lobbed off some friggin' Frankenstein relative's head and kicked the thing into a fresh grave and buried it. I don't think what the people who are mourning that grave don't know can't hurt them so I just used whatever was easiest to access. I'm sure that besides Frankenstein, no one will miss him, especially if he robbed graves. But yeah."
She smiled at him and pulled him close, just wanting to bask in the closeness of him again, realizing just how much she'd really missed him. Her hand gently came up to stroke and cradle his face but she soon moved onto his long hair, which she found after bringing his hood down and gently ran her fingers through it. "Go figure," she stated with a hearty laugh, "vampires can grow their hair back. Pretty cool."

Veroen chuckled at her statement. He looked back at Nick and remembered him from that day in the city. He also knew that Nick was the one attempting to compliment her. He then realzied that Nick was referring to him when he said "would-be boyfriend is a boring d**k". Veroen's expression turned into that of a deadly one, and he gritted his teeth.
"You might want to watch what you say.." Veroen started, staring at Nick with the urge to put him in his place, "...because you never know when that boring d**k might be listening, and he might even decide to behead you for your insolence." Veroen said with a barely controlled voice. He was getting really sick of self-righteous, insolent, and over-confident Vampires. Alasdair was the prime example of this.
Veroen then gave Nick a final look, which had Veroen's desire to beat the newborn to a pulp written all over it, before looking back to Meredith as she took off his hood and ran her fingers through his now extremely long hair. Once his hood was off, it revealed his face, which was slightly different now other than his hair. He had a few scars upon his face, one noticable one below his eyepatch. His old Master was obviously relentless in his training. His hair was long and reached his lower back, and slightly swayed in the wind.
He grinned a bit as he looked down at Meredith, and after hearing her statement about his hair. Veroen leaned in, and without paying attention to anyone else in the area, brought his lips closer to hers, and kissed her with the passion that had built up during his absence from her.

Meredith burst into laughter and slapped her knee when she realized that Veroen had been there when Nick had been ranting about how she'd been scary and how Veroen was apparently a boring d**k. Of course, she realized that Veroen wasn't being playful in his conviction but nonetheless she decided to laugh anyhow because it was good to have him back and it was hilarious to see the bewildered look on Nick's face. "Oh?" She said to Veroen with a smile, "That's all you have to say to him? What about what he said about me? You're not going to lob his head off for insulting me?" Of course, it was all in playful jest and she could care less what Nick had said about her or whether or not Veroen decided to hurt Nick for what he'd said to her earlier when Veroen had apparently been listening.
Naturally as she ran her fingers through his hair she noted the scar that'd set below his eye and her fingers came to run across it and investigate it further. Once she'd gently brushed her fingers over it she looked up to Veroen for an explanation and confirmation that he'd in fact been scarred. Her eyes seemed almost suspicious and her left hand that'd been dangling at her side had balled into a fist upon her reaction of seeing the scar though the leather squeezing together as she made a fist made it rather obvious. "Jesus Christ, Veroen ... Are you okay? It looks like he beat you or something." She began inspecting it further as if trying to calculate the damage.
When he turned back to face her again with his beautiful smile she felt herself lost within it. He came closer in order to claim her lips and she happily accepted his, pulling him closer, both hands now resting on his shoulders as he kissed her. She returned it with equal passion from the absence of him and she was very grateful he was back. She wanted nothing more than to introduce him to Kerrigan, a vampire she was certain he'd get along with even if she wasn't a part of the coven. She'd been a vampire since Meredith had met her and she was smart, beautiful and most importantly, deadly. That was, of course, why she was Sethe's fiance, that and she was very nice to those she considered family.

Veroen looked at her with a somewhat blank expression at her words about Nick. "Well, if you'd like, I could easily fullfill your wish." He said this with a slight chuckle. He then glanced back at Nick, but decided the newborn didn't need to die. He shook his head, and looked back at Meredith.
"No need to worry love, this is just the results of some hard training from Kyu. Apparently the old b*****d is still alive like I thought, and he reluctantly agreed to train me further in the ways of the Assassin." He had a thoughtful expression on his face at these words.
He glanced at her other Female friend, Kerrigan, and wondered who she was. She was a Vampire no doubt, but was not a member of the Coven, for that he was sure about, for he remembered every face of the Coven.
He looked back at Meredith with another smile, glad to see the love of his life still intact.
((Sorry it took me so long to post, my cousin tried to press escape as i was finishing up this post, and I slapped her hand away, but then wondered what it did, and learned the hard way.... >.> FYI, don't try it. it erases everything you were typing. lol))

(( - tries it out just to see - It didn't do anything for me. O.O ))
Upon seeing Veroen's blank stare she merely smiled and gave him a quick kiss on the nose, playing the charming, innocent role as opposed to the tough girl that she liked to come off as. Her smile could probably get her off the hook for anything she did, even murder or some other unthinkable act. "No I'm good. He's a noob and he should be given a chance to learn the ropes before we decide to kill him or something silly like that." She gently patted Veroen on the head as though to tell him to calm down though it was also in good fun since she was just in such a good mood right now having both Kerrigan and Veroen here. It was perfect, well, far from perfect since Sethe, William and Lydia were missing from this picture but as close as she expected she would ever get.
"As long as you're not completely out of tact. I still think you should have taken me with you for training since I'm in desperate need of it. I haven't done anything on the field for months! I've just had my training sessions, the sit ups, the jump ropes, the push ups, the weight lifting, all that stuff that humans need to do to stay fit."
Meredith was admiring Veroen when she caught him looking over at Kerrigan and slapped her head as she realized that she hadn't introduced them or anything like that. "Oh God! I haven't had the chance to introduce you two! Veroen, this is Kerrigan, she's one of the only hunters that's got seniority over me and she's a vampire as I'm sure you've noticed. She's taken, though so you'll just have to deal with my pretty pair of cheeks instead. She and I have been friends for a long time, her fiance is my blood brother, Krii. And Kerri, this is Veroen. We're together and he's nothing like Tokeru, I'm sure you two will get along well." She beamed, seeming proud of Veroen and excited to introduce him to Kerri, whom she held in high esteem.

Veroen's stare became a bit of a playful yet annoyed one as she patted him on the head. He didn't particularly like being patted on the head, but didn't really mind it coming from Meredith.
He then looked over at Kerrigan, with both eyebrows raised and a curious expression on his face. "Nice to meet you. Its good to finally meet a Vampire who is not part of the Coven." he said, meaning every word. He was beginning to consider joining the Hunters, the more he thought about it. He had every reason to do so. However, this was something that he would have to think about for a long time before making any hasty decisions.
He turned back to Meredith. "She has a high rank in the hunters, you say?" he said curiously.

"Mmhmm," Meredith confirmed upon Veroen asking her whether or not Kerrigan possessed a high ranking in the hunters like a child proud of their first accomplishment ever. "She's gonna be my sister in law someday and she kicks major a**. You should see her when she's pissed off, it's really entertaining and awesome to watch, better than any stupid action movies. It's like a live action play with no stunt doubles and an uber well trained professional and it's a lotta fun."

Veroen nodded at her words. She did seem pretty hardy for a Vampire, so it was no surprise she was a high ranking member of the Hunters.
He looked down a little, deep in thought.
